Hi all,
I have a following problem with my system. I can play stereo music well

sound, I only get sound from all the other speakers!
I'm running Debian testing/unstable using 2.6.12 kernel (x86) with

Hi,
You should upgrade alsa-driver to 1.0.10 (check /proc/asound/version for you
current version)
or
you should downgrade alsa-lib to 1.0.9rc2
or
you should copy file emu10k1.conf from alsa-lib 1.0.9.rc2 package to your
current alsa-lib instalation.

Recording from the card will work only if the sound output from the tuner has

This is limitation of kmix (or bug). kmix support various sound systems and to
add full support of alsa mixer is not ease for kmix.

Thank you for you advice. I tried first upgrading all the installed alsa
packages, but the driver version didn't change. When I then tried to
compile alsa-driver sources, the
You can force it to load by using the load_all=1 parameter.
Please tell us if you get any sound.
I have loaded a fresh install of debian etch to try this out. I created a file:
/etc/modprobe.d/snd_bt87x
and added,
options snd_bt87x load_all=1
then,
rmmod snd_bt87x
modprobe snd_bt87x
