It adds new names for all four mixer controls. I don't know why the
driver doesn't create the fourth control.
When configuring the alsa-driver package, please add the

What is the current situation regarding edirol ua-1000?
It needs a special driver so that playback data can be synchronized

Is it so that the UA-25 should be run in standard mode, not in advanced
mode, to function correctly with the snd-usb-audio driver?
Anyhow, I have also tried the standard mode, with fs=44.1kHz. The

The crackles occur frequently, on average about twice or more per
second. They typically come in bursts, in between the series of

It appears that you don't have the modules loaded for the soundcard. I would start with that. Your lsmod command should kick out a module name like snd_*, unless of course you complied the

I am afraid the well known Skype+aoss problems may be unfixable from the
ALSA side. It appears that the Skype binary is self modifying and takes
extensive measures to make sure it is not being run in a debugger or
emulator. This almost certainly would eliminate any LD_PRELOAD hacks
from working.

Yes, it works now on some hardware. What Skype/aoss versions and driver
was this, and what was the version where it stopped working?
They might have just changed the binary to detect aoss and fail.
