[altusmetrum] Telemetrum in Idle mode debugging help needed

I have a Telemetrum V2 and it talks to a Teledongle when in Pad mode. It will not talk to the Teledongle in Idle mode. Both Telemetrum and Teledongle have latest firmware installed. I've checked the callsign and both set to N0CALL. I've also tried an alternative callsign. I've tried with two diffe

Yes, it was bought about two weeks ago. No one near me to test this out with though :-( Kieran > On 31 Jul 2014, at 16:46, Bdale Garbee wrote: > > Kieran Sullivan writes: > >> I have a Telemetrum V2 and it talks to a Teledongle when in >> Pad mode. It will not t

4.2 is the max voltage for a 'normal' LiPo cell. 4.11 sounds fine. Kieran > On 24 Aug 2014, at 17:22, "Tim Navickas" wrote: > > The battery voltage is reading 4.11 volts. What is a good value? > > Thanks, > Tim > > -Original Message- > From: Keith Packard [mailto:kei...@keithp.com]

Re: [altusmetrum] How long does it normally take to get GPS lock?

2015-07-13 Thread Kieran Sullivan
The telemetrum seems to take a very long time to acquire enough satellites to get a position lock, perhaps 15 minutes or so. The telemega installed in the same rocket instead takes only a minute or two at most. I think they use different GPS receivers, so it's not just RFI that makes the telemet

Re: [altusmetrum] Battery care and maintenance

The battery is a single cell LiPo battery with all protection circuitry removed. That means you have to make sure you do not discharge it bellow 3.3V (best not go below 3.6V). The charge circuitry should make sure that the battery does not go above 4.2V while charging either - but that’s already

SMIG utility installed so I’m having trouble building the code for debug to try to fix this issue - just lack of time to get the JNI stuff fixed up. Was wondering if you already had a fix for this. I am using 1.6.1 of Altos. Kieran > On 20 Oct 2015, at 21:48, Keith Packard wrote: > &g

Might help a bit. Usually the conformal coating just keeps the corrosion down. If you do decide to conformal coat the board, try not to block the pressure sensor :-) Kieran > On 16 Jun 2017, at 11:13, Scott Myers wrote: > > I've wondered often if having a conformal coating on rocket computers

Thanks for all the hints/tips :-) I think my Teledongle is later than the bad batch as I did have a 1455 Sn version but got a newer version after that which is what I now use. I’ll check again when I get home. Regards, Kieran > On 13 Aug 2018, at 04:21, Bdale Garbee wrote: > > Stewart Campb
