I made RADIOSCAF-B lemonade this morning at approx 8:50 UTC:

One (1) RADIOSCAF-B satellite w/missing(?) receive antenna
Twenty-five (25) watts of rf (CW) to 11 elements
11 elements for receive
My downlink was not super strong, but certainly Q5.
This was a maximum 6 degree elevation
I set up an entry in Doppler.sqf, originally as ISS and now as RADIOSCAF-B for
the ARISSat1 CW and telemetry frequencies. SSB receive only so TX set to 0
MHz, step 20Hz. Unfortunately the doppler correction is not following the
received frequency correctly. The rate of change is wrong so I

Tried to work the 1201Z 06AUG2011 pass of ARRISSat-1 from FM26 this
morning without much luck. I have been successfully working the FM
birds for a while but this is my first attempt with a linear bird. I

I will listen for you on the next pass (7 minutes from now). I could clearly
hear myself on the last pass once it got above 5 degrees. I can copy the FM
and CW TX from AOS to LOS just fine.

I found that a homebrew single transistor untuned preamp (page 4.42 of the
RSGB's VHF/UHF handbook) was sufficient to lift pictures out of the noise -
thought the funcube developers might reflect on this , looks like it's an
essential feature for the ground station.

The AMSAT keps get updated once a week or so, at this point Radioscaf-B
isn't there. You'll have better luck with CelesTrac keps.

Another thing that may have gone is the RF sensing circuit that is
probably set for 25w max. RF switched preamps are more susceptible
to burn-out as they rely on fast switching of the preamp bypass
circuit. Even a few milliseconds delay will allow enough RF energy
