Just to update everyone. In the absence of guidance on what will run 2.0, I decided against Dev 2 or the Droid. That means I'll probably end up getting something else later, but hopefully when there is more clarification or more choices. The multitouch, for one, is one that will be hard to test

I don't know if someone else mentioned this, but I want to stress that 99% of developers do NOT need a dev phone. If you just want to write android apps in Java and run them, any phone will do this. Dev phones are for if you want to do OS-level development. I'd much prefer a phone that can

You can quite easily setup an emulator that has the market app on it. I did this once Cyrket went off the air as it's a lot easier to view the position of my apps on the emulator than the actual device. Search Google for that topic to find out how to do it. Free, paid and copy protected apps can
