Hello guys,
I am having a strange issue :)
fresh install of F28 aarch64, dnf -y upgrade, reboot leads me to a none booting
system.
looking at the console (HDMI) I can see the boot process and it is stucked on
starting the root filesystem
(" A start job is running for
Ok guys,
I tried the last image this morning :)
I am using the Server one
With fedora-arm-image-installer, there are a few things that are not working (
especially the LVM management, so root is not resized, passwd cannot be erased
...)
I am working on a small hack of the script to managed
same for me here:)
new kernel 4.16.0-300-fc28.aarch64 is wroking fine and onboard ethernet is
working :)
Thanks a lot

Hello
I am running raspberry pi3B and with lastest fedora 28 (with kernel
4.16.0-300.fc28.aarch64)
I read from the unicorn Hat that I need to activate SPI using raspi-config (
for raspbian only)
So I tried to do it manually .. and that's when everything did not go so well :)
I understood that
Hello guys,
I tried to use autofs and nfs.
I have the same issue with autofs as other guys, with SELinux. I had to change
SELinux mode to permissive to be able to make autofs usable ...
But I also discovered that by default mount.nfs and autofs are using NFSv4 and
cannot switch to NFSv3.
I

Ok, I worked a little on this issue and I found something.
module spidev is not loaded, so it tried to load it with modprobe spidev.
it worked but nothing was created into /dev
I also ran dtc -Ifs /proc/device-tree
and found
spi@7e204000 {

If you need me to run a few commands or give you any logs, tell me :)

Ok
it makes sense :)
So I'll have to rename my local vg from "fedora" to something else.
I just fear that my laptop won't boot again after that ...
Thanks

I tried that
after I had it on the dtb file
fdtget /boot/dtb/broadcom/bcm2837-rpi-3-b-plus.dtb /soc/spi@7e204000 status
okay
but after rebooting everything stays "disabled"
How did you build the dtb from dts ?
___
arm mailing list --
wow !
in fact it was much more simple ..
I was playing with a raspberry 3B and not a 3B+ so the dtb file was not the
good one :)
Finally I have this :
cd /proc/device-tree/soc
ls -dal spi*
drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 0 Mar 5 23:16 spi@7e204000
drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 0 Mar 5 23:16 spi@7e215080
Hi again,
I was not able to boot this way.
I tried then to do all the stuffs (update to latest 28 ) with a rpi2 and it
worked.
But when I try to boot this sd card on the rpi3b+ it is not working.
I can see the EFI boot + grub menu.
Then the screen goes black and nothing more.
How can I try to
I did it already.
I checked the /boot/dtb/broadcom/ directory and I have 2 files
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 12611 Mar 26 18:10 bcm2837-rpi-3-b.dtb
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 12933 Mar 26 18:10 bcm2837-rpi-3-b-plus.dtb
I am running kernel 4.16.0-0.rc7.git0.1.fc28.aarch64 and Peter was talking
about
Hello guys,
what is the status of OrangePi support within fedora these days ?
do you have any feedback regarding these boards ?

Hello all,
I am trying to build a ceph cluster based on 4 raspberry3B+.
Following the official CEPH documentation is a dead end as packages are only
available for readhat/centos and not fedora ! I tried to used the el7
repository but the are conflicts and lacks with fedora repos.
Did I miss
Hi all,
Thank you for all your answers.
I give yoy a little more details about the why i am here
I want to learn ceph, and i am really having no knowledge on ceph.
I decided to follow the official doc on ceph.com site.
It is said to use ceph-deploy which is not working.
I tried to upgraded
Hello guys,
is there any specific way to write an Atomic Host image on a sd card for
raspberrypi (3 or 3+ in my case).
I used this one :

Yes IoT works, but AH does not.
I tried a-i-i, but AH is not managed and it tries to do stuff on /tmp/root
instead of the PREFIX stuff for IoT.
I tried
Paul,
how can you do "uboot/firmware on mmc and atomichost image on usb disk"
currently I am using Fedora29-aarch64 this way:
1/ dd image to SD card
2/ boot the system
3/ move vg fedora to usb ssd disk using lvm commands (and create a huge tmp +
swap)
at the end I have :
232.9G sdb
Hello guys,
I am running 6 RPI4s with fedora 37. K3S is powering this cluster and it
is working well :)
But from time to time, 1 RPI is randomly hanging.
I am thinking about implementing a watchdog :
- software based, using embeded linux kernel
- hardware based such as
Thanks Peter for your fast answer !
I was thinking about watchdog stack itself for the software part. I had
no idea that it was able to manage the HW watchdog of the RPI4 :)
the watchdog stack is a little confusing because the documentation is so
small...especially when using HW module
