Robert, the admintool is trying to load the file http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime. Your machine running the admintool must have access to the internet either direct or via http-proxy. In case of http-proxy you have to set up your admintool to use the proxy(see attached screenshot). HTH

I am planning a similar thing here. I think it might be best to run the DB remotely. That way it is not taking up resources from your Remedy server. As long as it is located at the same physical site as your Remedy server, you should be fine. We are going to be using a VM environment with 2 x 3

I can't comment on the DB server, sorry. I just asked my DBA to use the same configuration as our Dev environment. I am not sure what the actual specs are, but I am sure that they are overkill for my needs. He added it to our Oracle RAC environment. It is an Oracle 10GR2 database. James On
