Hi,
All else to the side, in this case, couldn't you just set the Display-Type
to Edit Masked?
I an guessing that it changes the way modified data is sent to the server,
as the password field is normally sent encrypted.
In the old days, I sometimes renamed the User-form to a Swedish

Hi Misi,
I have not checked the SQL logs but I was assuming (hoping) that since the
renumbered password field (on the join form) still maps to the real password
field in the real User form (with it's original FID), then it would still be
treated as such and encrypted as appropriate. I did in

This looks like an OTB notification? I haven't worked with that

I don't believe there's support for consuming/publishing RESTful
services from AR System, however our XML Gateway product can do it for
you. The community edition is free to use with a limited number of
transactions per hour.

Hi,
I suspect that if the field id is not 102, it will not encrypt the content
before it is sent over the network. The SQL log will still show it
encrypted though, as it is encrypted by the server before it is stored.
It would be complicated to track the 102 to the actual regular form, as a

Hi,
I performed an upgrade from ITSM 7.5.01 to 7.6.03. The upgrade went
on for a full 43 hours and failed to import def files ans arx files in
change and service desk.
Has anyone faced such issues with upgrading from 7.5.01 to 7.6.03?

Filters creating the notification in NTE:SYS-NT Process Control end with `!, so
the field id 1 is not known in the notification. The only solution you have to

This wasn't it. The approvals worked fine if no task was applied. It was the
issue with the implementer fields. Adding a task apparently clears all
implementer fields, including Company. When you create an approval rule, if

After reading the Technical Bulletin for Atrium Core 7.6.03 Patch 001, it is
easy to become convinced that BMC has finally tortured their CMDB into a
hopelessly un-maintainable nightmare of conflicting code releases. There is a
very large list of problems in 7.6.03 that patch 001 purports to

I've got an older installation of KMXPert's Knowledge Base running on an old

I built a new 7.6 patch002 ARS server. Then I copied over a SQL DB from a previous 7.6 patch002 server.

I have not perform an upgrade with these versions but it is not uncommon for

Customize the view from within your user tool and unhide all the fields.
I actually unhide by customizing the form but the Customize View
function should work just as well. You wil need to do the same thing
with EIE:Exchange too.

The easier way is to export the entries to an ARX file update the server name.
Delete the entries you just exported, import the entries you just modified.
This will update the information without having to modify the form.

Not that I am aware of. You can also either unhide the fields (we copied to
a new Administrator view and unhid the fields) or export an arx/xml file,
find and replace, and import.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is an aiexfer command to update it but I
haven't checked. In the past I had a back
Never mind!

Warren,
Just last week a user came to me with that same problem. I was letting the
issue ferment (a.k.a. I didn't have a clue where to start) and you just
solved it. Thanks for posting the resolution.

Make sure no other users are logged into the system.
Turn dev cache mode on.
Check your /tmp size.
Also at server level see if any paging happening.

I'm still working on it, so I can't comment on the overall success,
