Good afternoon,
We're testing ITSM 8.1.2 and found something curious. It was easy enough to
fix so I'm not opening a ticket with BMC right now (although if someone from
BMC is curious, they already have a ticket on a different issue and can read
our logs from that one.)
Basically, we have an

I have two servers in a server group. When one is brought up we are fine.
When we bring the second one up, it seems to steal the DB connection. If
we recycle the first one it will take back the connection. And the server
I have not seen that. Overlays being deleted is a bit bothersome since we

I wonder if there is a technicality in what happened (although still

Doesn’t surprise me.
The amount of misspellings I’ve found in the ITSM code in 7.6.4 was crazy.
Real question is if any issues were resolved in patches for things not working
due to spelling errors.

Since it looks like Oracle (from the ORA error #) I would have your DBA check
the maximum number of processes/sessions that have been configured in the
database. I think you are running out of connections (Each thread you tell
ARS to use is a connection to the database).

The fact that your prod db was changed when you deleted your overlays in Dev

Would be interesting to open multiple sqlplus sessions using your Oracle

Hi,
We're doing our own test of the upgrade installers (seems there's alot
of that going on). I have a copy of the prod db and a copy of the prod
app server (vm) in my dev environment, and have updated all the server
references in the new app server vm (i.e., ar.cfg, armonitor.cfg, and

tend to use the non-American spelling for some reason but I can't seem to
think of it right now.
