Anyone have a good document that can assist me in installing AR Server,
Mid-Tier, All Service Desk modules as well as KM, SRM, SLM, Dashboards
Analytics etc? I just want to be sure I install in the correct order (if there
is one).
Thanks,
Sam
I'm having some trouble creating services on the SRM application. It seems to
be pretty extensive as far as all of the steps involved in getting services to
appear on the console page. The Admin Guide is very convoluted and doesn't have
many screenshots to help me understand the entire process
Thanks for the info but I'm still having problems. They gave me a def file to
import called RKM:VendorTemplate_RightAnswers. I imported that with no issue.
Then they gave me some sample data (arx file) which I also imported to the
RKM:VendorTemplate_RightAnswers form.
How do I connect that
The RightAnswers Knowledge-Paks content provided by RightAnswers was in HTML
format. This format works fine with RKM through version 7.5. Apparently with
version 7.6 BMC completely changed the RKM application using their own
indexing/searching processes as opposed to an external index/search
You just did the import and there was nothing more you needed to do? They just
appeared in a search for one of the articles?? You didn't have to do any
indexing?

I'm not sure if this is where this request should go so if it is not, I
apologize in advance.
I've been a Remedy Administrator for almost 12 years. During that time I've
done mostly Administration work and have dabbled in Development duties as well.
I've also performed Training of Remedy users
I'm looking at the ARSuiteKitClient_Developer_Windows directory/folder which
was saved to my desktop when I unzipped the zip file. I don't see anything in
there regarding Data Management Tool or Data Management Client. I,

I tried launching the data import tool from the command line
(dataimporttool.exe) just as I had done with the .bat file but the same thing
happened. Just a splash screen pops up on the monitor, then it disappears.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks,
Sam
Disregard, I believe I've found it. Downloading and installing now so we'll see
if this does the trick.
Thanks,
Sam

When I try to launch (open) the data import tool, I get a splash page (BMC
Remedy Action Request System Version 7.6) for about 2 seconds and then it
disappears. No error message, no login screen. It just doesn't load.
I'm running it on my laptop which is Windows XP, Intel i5 CPU with 4 GB RAM
When I click on the dataimport.bat file, the command window pops up on the
screen for about 2 seconds and then disappears. I can't move fast enough to get
a screenshot of anything pertinent.
Any way I can get that command window to stay open? (it's basically giving the

So I'm now trying to use the Data Load Console. I have my CSV set up with some
test data to the CTM:People form. I open the Data Load Console, Select

To clarify, I have my data spreadsheet (not CSV) set up with test data for the
CTM:People form.
