Skip Patch 6, go stright to Patch 7. We're using Patch 7 from the very
beginning and have no problems.

Trying to do a fresh installation of ARS 7.5 on windows 2003 and SQL 2005.
when I run thru the installer I select Windows authentication - using a service
account which has SA access to the database server (on remote server) and also
an admin on the ARS server. I am noticing that at some point
I had some issues doing new installs with some of the 7.5 patches (there is
a thread in the archives). One thing I have gotten into the habit of doing
(if permissible) is to create new sys admin account in the db just for the
installation. This seems to work better than using SA, a Windows sys
