Was that more of a Networking/Happy Hour type event? They just had one of
those here in Dallas (but it was more social from the Control-M people than
anything)

Here's the response I received from our Federal account rep:

"Engage was not cancelled but modified to align with five geographical metro
areas for easier travel. Our event in DC will have a strong Federal focus. From
that perspective, it works to our customers' benefit due to restrictions with
travel and we can now offer Federal based sessions. Please let us know if you
have any questions."

Gotta love the spin on how Engage was not "cancelled". How on earth does BMC
think a 1 day event is better. How will I have time in one day to attend
sessions on enhancements coming to the next version of ARS/ITSM? Or learn about
other BMC products like Service Broker, Client Management or their various
cloud offerings? How will I fit in lab sessions to test drive Smart Reporting?
Or experience hands-on Innovation Studio? etc.
Ridiculous...

and did not have any sessions on it or any workshops was crazy. They were
really pushing Blade Logic and Control M but did very little with ITSM. The
funny thing is that all the ITSM sessions and workshops were booked and the
Blade Logic and Control M sessions were empty or half empty. They really need
to focus on tech for these instead of sales and more people would come and
maybe even buy stuff! When you go to CES or even something like Blizzcon, you
see product and get to try stuff out. They should have scheduled labs with
HRCase, Innovation Studio, etc, going the whole entire time. In general, they
should have planned way more labs/training sessions and encouraged developers
to bring their apps to showcase. Also, moving it from the second week of
September would really help as most schools are too busy with the start of the
school year. Well…. we will see what happens at the new format but basically it
will probably end up being more sales. ☹

Re: Web Services and Attachments

2017-02-08 Thread georgiana.aspru
Hello everyone,

I have the same problem and the solution does not work for me unfortunately.

I am trying to consume an external web service, where I want to pass an
attachment field. The problem is that no matter on what the destination
field I use, when selecting the attachment from Remedy Developer, I get only
the attachmentName and I cannot get attachmentData. Is there another way to
do this by selecting exactly which of the three information to get from the
attachment field (name, data or size)?

Please check the attached screenshots below.

Many thanks,
Georgiana
