I attempted to move my 15.06 install to 16.10 today. As with every
attempt to move past 15.06 that I have tried, ASSP locked up solid
within a minute.
In this case, I tried it twice. Both times, it locked up the perl
process with no errors, nothing logged, 30 seconds after the process
Looking at the code of ASSP, it loads and parses things like the
whitelist into memory, works from memory, and writes them out to disk
only when a) ASSP is terminated, b) an exception occurs.
In situations where ASSP is crashing, being terminated hard by
external watchdog processes (which

SM I tried upgrading my 15.06 install to 15.11 tonight, when server load
SM was very light. It works, but only for about 4-5 minutes, before
SM dying. It stops logging, it stops listening and accepting
SM connections, it just stops doing anything at all. CPU usage goes to

How did it go from 2.0.0 (12.05) to 2.0.0.(12.01)
I see that the download page shows last version doc as 11.01
The last version I had running showed at the bottom of the GUI 12.05 was
there a numbering error?
Just checking.
No big deal just want to make sure I am running the most

12.01 is now the latest version
Before I updated form 9.04, I read the assp_version_2.0.0_11.02-te
file. The dates it noted for changes were in 2008, so I did not read,
them, thinking that the information was way older that 9.04. This was
not the case, and I ended up wondering why I could no longer log into
the GUI.
After switching off TLS i observed that this is not a TLS Problem.
It happens to other connection as well
All idel connections are on the same worker.
There is nothing obvious in the logs
ASSP refuses to get new connections (no log as well) and is restarted
from the service monitor.

Not sure what is up with (25) but the GUI is totally messed up. Only
shows 2 bars (Top2) of the menu and the rest is missing or garbled up.
I returned to (23) the last one I was running and all is back to normal.

After some time this (and earlier) versions will delete all Whitelist

Is this error generated by ASSP, or my MTA?
Since the current version ASSP seems to be marking as spam sources that
I have as white listed.

By the way spelling error adresses should be addresses.
