I read your postings about faxdetection with CAPI. Interesting feature
but I'm not sure how to implement it on incoming calls (for example fax
dialed wrong number). Can you please show me a dialplan example how you
use this feature (incoming fax calls into Asterisk server).
I did'nt test incoming
I was helped by Armin Schindler from the chan_capi user list.
So this is my answer and the solution to the chan_capi list :

Make sure you have enabled the onboard DSP by using
Hello,
I need to detect both fax and answer machine, and it should be valuable that
the detection will be run by the Diva card itself. So :

specific DTMF, if I had [..] enabled [this functionnality] by the
I don't have enough experiment to help you, but I can suggest you this :

I'm not sure, but maybe tT lets asterisk avoiding the bridge.
I'll test tomorrow (I leaved office :-), I am GMT+1).
I tested this and had the following results :
CAPI B-channel information:
Line-Name NTmode state i/o bproto isdnstate ton number
In the capi.conf file, there is a bridge option that allow to native
bridging (CAPI line interconnect) if available, and I found this in the
capi-user mailing list :
I suggest you put bridge=yes into each interface.
Then, when Asterisk bridges two channels, it
Thanks for your quick answer :-).
I am a rookie in all this telephony problem, so I'll try to be verbose.
This function does work well. But it works if your ISDN card/driver
supports
it only.
I currently have a Diva Server 4BRI Rev 2, and it seems that there is DSP on
it (voice detection, and

Well, let's go for the debug log :-).
In this capture, I used only one adapter, and I performed a call to
asterisk, which dialed a number (as described in the previous mail) ; so
this is the log :

Maybe you want to provide a full log (including call of the first channel
and the hangup) to my personal mail?
I just added an attachment to this mail.
Thanks a lot :-)
P.S.: this log was generated with verbosity to 5 and with capi debug
Here is my piece of generosity of the work - and it's not even my work.

Thanks for the code, it won't be usefull though (As I suspected it don't
perform what I wanted to do).
This piece of code may be usefull for someone else :-).
Thanks for your response :-). (I'm in GMT+2, and I currently have no
internet at home, so that is why my response is so late)
On second thought--- it would be silly to make this sort of application!
When
would you run it?

So I'm back on this matter (I thus give enough time for a good samartan to
help), and now, I think that PlayDTMF is not designed for what I want to do

Hi
sorry to bother, but I wasted a lot of time on this question, contact
several forum (as much english as french), and still no answer :-(.
In order to simulate an xfert, I thought that the PlayDTMF manager command
will be the right one.
All seems to be perfect :
