Re: [asterisk-users] Asterisk 13 - sorcery realtime for pjsip publish objects
Good Morning, After further investigation, I found that the res_pjsip_publish_asterisk module does not use the realtime sorcery wizard, but instead only reads from the configuration files. I've been able to patch the module, using the logic from the other modules to learn how to make the sorery configuration read from the other sorcery wizards and it's now working for the asterisk-publication. This thread probably belongs on the asterisk-dev list. I've never submitted a patch to the asterisk project, and I doubt my code follows your standards. I'm wondering - is there planned support for asterisk-publication to be realtime-aware? If so, I can continue to do my development on 13.2.0 and simply wait for it to get fixed in a future point release. Or, if submitting the patch is the best course of action - I can do that too. Re: [asterisk-users] Wiki (pjsip+realtime) says don't put the transports into realtime. Still true?
Joshua, Regarding Outbound Registrations in realtime and a reload. Does it require a pjsip reload or full asterisk restart? Antonio Gómez Soto wrote: Hi, The asterisk wiki page says: Sorcery.conf allows you to try to configure other PJSIP objects such as transport using realtime and it currently won't stop you from doing so. However, some of these object types should not be used with realtime and this can lead to errant behavior. Which objects and is this still true in 1.13.1 ? Yes, still true for transports. Outbound registrations, though, have been tweaked so that they can exist in realtime but require a reload to be picked up. Those are the two that come to mind. [asterisk-users] MWI publish VIA pjsip for non sip channels
Before I go down a rabbit hole, does the mwi publish/subscription work for non SIP phones? For instance, I have a single voicemail server, connected to multiple asterisk boxes via SIP. On each of those servers, there are a mix of SIP and SCCP phones attached. Currently, I'm using res_xmpp to distribute mwi from the voicemail server to the endpoint servers. Would this type of setup work with PJSIP? The net effect here is that I want to get away from res_xmpp, if possible. [asterisk-users] multicastRTP source interface
I have an asterisk 11.4.0 server with two interfaces, eth0 and eth1. Eth0 has a default gateway on it, eth1 is connected the subnet that has my phones registered. I'd like to use the multicastRTP driver to do paging. However, when a phone dials an extension with multicastRTP, the multicast stream goes to the primary interface (eth0) and it really needs to go to eth1. Is there a way to specify which interface the rtp is sourced from? [Asterisk-Users] Cisco 7960 Multiple Line Appearance
Hello: I'm currently using asterisk 1.0.7 with cisco 7960 SIP 7.5 phones. I'd like to use this phone for a receptionist so that she can take calls for 4 other people. Is this possible? I tried setting buttons 2 - 5 to register with the extensions of the people she'd be taking calls from, but then the other people couldn't receive calls. I'm assuming this is because only one phone can register with the same extension. I also tried ringing multiple channels with the extension, ie: 1234 = 1,Dial(SIP/1234SIP/4321) This led to the intended result (both phones rang), but it did not show which extension was being called. (IE: on the phone display, it should that I was getting a call from 5551212, but did not say who 5551212 was calling) Is there any way to do this with SIP and the 7960? I've seen the 7914 but then I'd have to use SCCP and I'm not sure if it is stable enough for production use. Re: [Asterisk-Users] Cisco 7960 Multiple Line Appearance
Alright, I'm inspired. I'll give it a shot. Should I use the asterisk hint system or is line appearance done in the sccp config file seperately? Do you have a configuration example? Thanks!
