I have solved the issue... shame on me. Maybe this will help some other soul. My Ubuntu OS is 64 bit. I opened mconf from the aslinux tree with a hex editor and the one from gumstix an the references to ld-linux didn't agree. A google search quickly came up with a comment about ia32-libs wh

I usually compile asterisk-beta, astlinux-trunk and astlinux-0.5 into a VMWare Debian 4. The PC is a Dell laptop model Inspiron 650 2Gh and 1 Gb RAM. It takes, depending if i have to download packages or actually have on local between 45 mins and 2 hours. Debian roolz!! ;) Jonathan GF On Jan

I don't have trouble with Ubuntu - except in this case. I am building Gumstix images regularly. Last night I wanted to look at the options in one of the Makefiles and discovered that the Makefile calls IDENTICALLY named executables. Those are the same executable names that fail with "command not
