Thanks guys for your response. I think Fax is going to be a real headache and I
will be encouraging where possible to move to a hosted service.
Alarm and EFTPOS is likely to move over to GSM/3G or newer broadband as you
mentioned David.

For alarm monitoring I use a service http://nextalarm.com and they provided
me with what they call a braodband adapter. When I signed up it was a
Cisco/Linksys PAP2T with custom configuration, now-a-days it looks like
they have their own box. But essentially it takes the analog audio modem
signal
