Yes, I think it was a one-off. I have never seen it before nor been able
to reproduce the problem. It could have been caused by poor connection at
the UPS end of the cable (which is an RJ45) when I first brought it back
up... I have a feeling that the RJ45 was not properly inserted at first).
But
David,
My APU2 properly shows "Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub" in a 'lsusb' after many
web interface reboots. Also several Revert-to-previous and upgrades.
Possibly it was a one-off for you, static on the USB cable, etc. .

Lonnie,
I was using the web interface, including one attempt where I reverted
back to a previous version and then upgraded to current version (without a
reboot in between). I don't think I tried "reboot" from the CLI.

David,
Thanks for reporting, something to watch for with the APU2.
To be clear, was your "soft reboot" a "reboot" from the CLI or "kernel-reboot"

tried plugging in a USB memory stick to the AstLinux box and it was not
recognized either so I decided to do a hard reboot (disconnect the power
after a shutdown, wait 10 seconds, connect power again). That solved the
prob
