I rather liked android. Mine was old but I hear things have gotten much better. I wish someone tried to relaunch rocklock or whatever that was, it was a music player that you could operate by swipes instead of tapping

I actually found Android way too experimental, but I think Android can be a second option for the blind and visually impaired community. I just got myself an IPhone 4s, so Im not gonna get myself a droid phone right

my problem with android was that when gestures got implemented they were needlesly complicated. I mean look at the three finger flicking stuff. Really? three fingers? to move through different web items? Its bad enough

Its not a question of how easy installing apps is (I actually have to disagree that its completely painless, because the Play Store isnt painless) but peoples reasonable expectations that what they buy works right out of

yeah, thats what everyone is saying. Even so, given the accessibility API, theres nothing that stops Google books from working fine save that they...dont,. Im on eyes-free about that one, because itd take someone a week

OK, so sooner or later somebodys going to come up with a VI distro of Android (Blindroid? Blandroid?) which does all the work for people, otherwise most users have to start out with a fairly non-trivial amount of work

To add one to the firefox docs, which really aught to be in there but isnt, swiping left and right with three fingers lets you select an element to navigate by, and swiping up and down with three fingers lets you navigate

Well, yes, Apple does provide some of Open AL. Emphasis on some. There is no HRTF. There are no EFXX effects. You can get a bit of 3d audio going, but it leaves a lot to be desired. If it were good, then Papa Sangre
