Hey guys, today was going to be the day of a kickass update but unfortunately due in part to my idiocy, the game code was wiped by a crash in the program I use to code the game and there were no backups. I am the king of all fools.I've been working on this game since 2014, I picked it back up about 5-6 months ago and worked on it Alot... daily in fact, between two jobs where I was working 16 hours a day, I still was able to release daily updates for the game, because I was enthusiatic, I loved this game and it became a part of me.It was the first project I've ever had where people actually sent me money and kind messages, people actually enjoyed something I had made, a truly gratifying feeling, I feel very low at the moment knowing half a years worth of work is gone, there are games that take a lot longer but I feel like all the sleepless nights staying up until 6am to find those pesky bugs was a little fruitless, Again to those of you who've invested your time into my game I appologize with all my heart.I hope that the beta build that is available for download is still fun to play for you all but of course there will be no more updates, I was attempting to create a new save feature in the latest version and was planning tonight to unveil my newest feature, dynamic merchants with tons of reactions to the player based on random personalities and if they were a mutant, loads of personalities ectThe problem is the save feature wasn't completed and a bugged thing at the start of each region asks you if you want to save and will freeze if you click save game, it's avoidable but unfortunately makes the final release of the game overshadowed by this issue...Again I can't appologise enough, I feel like an idiot and I can't put into words how much of a loss this feels like, the game was my bridge into being a real developer, I planned in the future for a remastered version to go on steam and I genuinely thought I could make something of myself with it.Although it's not the most stable I will be sharing the last build and all my notes, plans and game related stuff so you can all see what was planned for the game and check out some of the archived versions.There's no reason why the sub can't stay up but the wastes is gone, thank you for your time and support, for anyone who's interested [here](https://www.dropbox.com/s/jk6ekik0qwnqo … d.zip?dl=1) is the final build of the game and [here](https://www.dropbox.com/s/s4nubnqqm33bu … s.zip?dl=1) is the game plans, archived notes and plans.

But personally if I needed a walkthrough, I wouldn't listen to yours if you used that voice. It would bother me that much.

Here is a look at the cultist spells as of now. The cultist will be using confuse quite a bit but all classes will get a chance in on the fun using items buffs etc. Anyways here is a look at the class skills this should give you an idea of the direction im going with it:Psychic Bolt - A psychic based damaging spell.Haunt - A debuffing skill that lowers enemy agility and raises fizzle chance.Dark Intellect - A buffing spell that increases intelligence while lowering strength and agility.Plagued Bolt - A poison based damaging spell.Soul Shield - A buffing spell that raises armor and block chance at the cost of life.Hellfire - A demonic fire based spell that damages all

Thanks for the tips, KeyIsFull. You're probably right, telling all the sounds apart quickly is probably the main source of issues for me. How much do you actually jump in that fight? Like if he is not currently launching any attacks, do you still jump constantly in order to keep moving fast? Because that might be another problem I am having, too - more often than not, I fail to notice a hole or an attack in time just because I always tend to jump. The fight is just so stressful that it feels to me as though i wouldn't be able to stand a chance for longer than a few seconds if I didn't. :-)Lukas

Yeah, I jump all the time. When he makes holes, I generally don't try to jump over the hole to the other side of the stage, unless I know that side is bigger and will give me more maneuvering room. That's because it takes a bit of time for me to make sure I'm on the very edge of the hole, and not being mobile is bad. And it's a fact that in order to keep shooting, you'll have to get into close quarters with him at least briefly so you can jump over him to continue firing, and that's where I lose most of my lives.

Ah, fare enough. That's largely what I use fantasybookreview.co.uk for, though wound up as one of their site reviewers myself, the last one I did was for Robin Hobb's Blood of dragons. Either that, or I just get recommendations from various friends. I might have a look at the list features sinse those sound interesting, though as I said the reviews rather put me off when I was looking at a couple of books, sinse "this is good because it is great", or the equal amounts of "This is bad because nothing happens and it is just bad" was not something I particularly cared for, especialy when the latter reviews were directed at subtle authors like William Horwood. I will confess however I'm enough of a snobb to   belief that while everyone is entitled to an opinion, not all opinions are equal .

Alternative way to search youtube?

Hi. Sinse as of yesterday it seems youtube isn't good enough to work with windows xp anymore, I was wondering if there was another way to search and play stuff from youtube (and no I cannot use firefox). I was considering the mac, but that will have to wait, but sinse there is no earthly reason youtube should bugger up their site accept that microsoft are paying them to advertise, I wondered if there was an alternative in the mean time, just to search and play videos, indeed most of the stuff I have on my favourites still seems to play fine, it's just that when I go to search I get a blank page. Stupid youtube!

You need libloader and platform_utils. Gotten from the same website you got AO2 from.You also need to figure out a way to bundle dll files alongside your project. This must be done for AO2 and other products, you can use the interpreter to find out which packages you need to use it with.You can find the dll files that you need by calling the .find_datafiles() of each package.I'm not too sure on how you include dll files with pyinstaller, so you might have to do some reading.

Well i am saving it in a backup .So the future will tell, its pretty far allready so its just adding features and optimizing not major work just time consuming.However probably id continue it at some point.And if others are still interested as well who knows i might combine the time programming silkroad as well as tradian .I agree that a farming game is great , but out of personal experience its faster to make silkroad.On tradian i have to think up how mechanics would go along with other mechanics meaning that id have to think up all of the features and how they work.And with silkroad i already know all of it so its litterally blind programming.Because for programming it i dont really have to think to much its like a second language which helps greatly.But still its great to hear that this concept is liked by you and others.This

Here's a few things:1. Have you tried maximising the page?  Have you tried refreshing/refocusing?2. If you have and nothing definitely seems to solve it, give youplayer (the free version) on IOS a look, it's far better than the stock youtube app and works well with voiceover.

Hi, I'm looking at making a 3d game with rotation but I must be doing something odd, because as I turn, the volume of the sounds change, which I don't think it's supposed to do. It's always fun beeing an NPC Anyways all the help in voices are welcome, the more the better as the quests and npc's etc will require a lot of audio.I will talk to him regarding that when i get the chance.Sounds interesting .It's great to hear more people played this game, how was your experience on it ?The fun thing is they used to have an auto select target option which would auto target monsters i guess thats a big help in that game as well.

BTW, there are two versions of Flexible Survival. The Mux, as someone stated, and there is also the Inform singleplayer game. The object of the game is to mess with, or not, infected as much as possible while trying to survive until the end.Fall of Eden is also flash, just like Tainted Space and Champions. I don't like FoE because it seems to be dominated with Gay or M/M action.

hi, unfortunately, there is no way to change languages.changing the phone's language won't work, the game will still use the language that you've downloaded when you run the game for the first time. if you want to use another language for the game, the only option is to remove the game and download the french language.

hello.As for me, i do play a bit the piano and sing. I couldn't tell you if i am good at those but certainly im able to do something lol.I currently am learning to play the guitar. But my studies don't let me concentrate fully enough to advance faster. I am stucked at the g circle. According to my teacher, that is the most easiest to play, so... Also my guitar isnt that good! a string has been brocken a long time ago and i haven't replaced it yet, so i am practicing (or was practicing), with a 5 strings acoustic guitar. Lol! I want to purchace a new guitar to solve that problema, but my parents wont let me do that. They are afraid that if i do get it, im gonna use it for a while then, forget about it. Rofl.

Movement Versus Static ?

Hello Everyone,So as my topic title states Movement Versus Static.I have been dabbling in my mind and in practiceon how it would be best for a blind player to navigate through a world.We have 3d audio , which is great but maybe it is just me but it is still hard to navigate around through worlds.Even when you have a map in your mind and where all objects are located.It is easy to get stuck moving around to get to a certain point.Hence why i am daabling around with static.Static method.Example Teleporting.Simply move to points on the map using direct coordinates by selection.For example: Visit The Storage Keeper.When selecting an option like that you would be in front of that selected object / npc.Which makes moving around a lot more effecient but would limit free roaming.So my question , what would you prefer and why ?Are there good solutions or ideas for a movement system?For an rpg i
  would actually after teleporting put a player in a location where there are no objects but mearly monsters and some ground changes.Which would make them find and attack a lot easier.Or use random encounters like the pokemon game does.Walk around in a forest and randomly encountering monsters.Any Thoughts ?

Yes, there are 2 dependencies, I installed both platform_utils and libloader before installing AO2.  AO2 is up and working fine.  Pyinstaller produces a distribution folder, it calls dist, for each of my projects that it compiles.  Each project folder comes with the necessary Dll files, and any project I make with AO2 has several Dll files.  I can try to check if Pyinstaller has found them all, but at the moment I have no reason to believe it finds some and not others.  Also the compiled executable does not work even on my computer, whereas the script runs just fine.  I would be very happy if someone has experience of a combination that is up and running.  Ethin replied on another post.  I am hoping he posts here with the magic words something like:  "Python3, pygame and AO2 compile just fine in Pyinstaller".  Cheers folks.

I'd thought about ios, but I'd prefer to use my quad speakers, plus there is pontes downloader.I've tried all the maximization and such of the page. it's silly, other functions seem to work but the search doesn't, as far as I can determine the page is blank. Clips I have in my favourites play, but for some reason when I search with google clips don't. I can of course type something like "Insert song name youtube" into google and then copy the address but that is a trifle clunky and doesn't let me see youtube's playlists etc.Foobar might be usable, though I'd rather just  have a basic search site than use another program, or have the search in built into the pontes downloader if that's what I'm using.

Ethin, thanks, though I'm not quite understanding you.  Are you saying that accessible_output2 works and compiles with python3x? I have a separate thread on accessible_output2 issues, probably best for us to discuss AO2 there.  I am happy to convert to python 3x, if such a solution works.  My request here is to find a solution for text rather than speech.  I see from a historical discussion on this forum, no such solution was offered up.  I am hoping however, someone comes up with some magic words like "Yes, I use python3, pygame, and WX and use them together", or perhaps simply "Rocky, we have been round the block on access with python and text on GUI's is simply not accessible".  So folks, any success on this one?

@Rocky, from what I can understand from the documentation, it is best that you use a library such as Tolk or AO2 because I don't know what accessible text is available while using pygame. I know that innoSetup can create dialogs with text that is read automatically by the screen reader of the user, but I haven't found what text coordinates are used for that.

No, it's not hard to navigate worlds when blind, just as long as there is a coordinate system, the ability to side step, walk in a 90 degree angle... ETC. And maybe beacons such as in swamp. I actually prefer movement.

Is it updated when the player presses a key or ends his turn, or when new information is available in real time? Is it just an intro before something more interactive? Is the player supposed to actively review the text?Is the text supposed to be printed with a nice font or is the text displayed mostly for debugging?I have successfully tested (but not adopted) the following combinations:- wx for the window and the events (keyboard), wwise for the sound- wx for the window and the events (keyboard), pyglet (OpenAL) for the soundA similar wx combination with pygame mixer might work. I think pygame wouldn't be allowed to draw text on the screen (it would be wx's job).

@catfish, thanks I appreciate the support, I'm just sorry I can't see the game go where it was headed , if you check out the downloads I put up you can see the 1000s of ideas I had written down, I would go to that list daily and work away at clearing as many features as possible @Mata, the only place that holds code is the thing that got wiped, all of the game builds aren't the code they are the result of it, I can't get any code from them

CAE, I've felt that very same way in regards to the "uncanny valley".  Not everyone understands why I do it, but I like to keep myself in the range of "functional" without trying too hard to be "realistic".  Trying to win that battle usually does more harm than good, but again, very few people seem to understand that.
