Hi.Having been out of country for some days and been busy with a lot of things, I have just followed up on this topic now. [[wow]] all that sounds awesome.I dont have a pc which can run the game, so I plan to buy this for my ps4. Would you say it would be worth it to buy the game for the ps4 when I dont have sighted assistance to get any help with the game?Its quite nice that people wanna stream the game. But if you want people to listen to this, streaming is not the way to go. People are always missing the streams, especially us who are in different timezones. Why not just make recordings instead?

Hi.I havent played this for a while because Im busy with a lot of things, but Ill return to the game later on.Its quite interesting how hackers are able to make that much trouble in the game. Maybe they can use an admin panel? I mean, if they have got admin access somehow and the admins are able to change the health, players location and all that, then they can really mess up the game. Its such a shame that some people just have no life.

Hi.The only accessible mainstream 2d game for Mac I know is Shank. But, you have to keep in mind that you need to pick up all the items manually, and the console versions do that automatically when you walk over the items. This makes the Mac version harder to play, but not impossible. I dont remember the controls for the Mac version, since I havent played it for ages.

Ah, but there was a more recent development you might not have been aware of. Several scientists were able to find dna samples from the doom dragon and reconstructed them with dna taken from old people. @Aaron, Im definitely rather jealous. I went to florida when I was fourteen, but I havent been sinse and Id love to see all the harry potter stuff etc. I did get to go on some cool things like space mountain and the back to the future and terminator rides. The Terminator one was particularly awsome because during the kew in there was a promotional video from cyberdine systems explaining all the bennifits of robot technology which was interupted by a broadcast from Sarah Conner and the resistance explaining that the timelines hadnt been changed and the end of the world was happening again. Of course, sinse hollywood is now doing poned pony pounding on the terminator series it probably is inaccurate with whatever contortions the plots gone through lately, but it was cool all the same, actually if I described all the things which were cool wed be here for quite some time. When I went to one last year, the musicals section was won by a lady who sung somewhere over the rainbow in full operatic iction, (I di Master of the house from Les miserables and got an honourable mention). The lady had a good voice, but yee gods! why the hell did she have to sing somewhere over the rainbow as though it was Madam Butterfly. I know directors who wouldve picked up on that streight off, but sadly not the judge which was annoying because there were some really good performances, like one amazing base who sung Call the wind Mariah! which was awsome!Well I surprisingly got d
 one all of what I planned yesterday, or at least in part. I sent off a new front of site text to Sander, I wrote a review of black sun rising (which Ill be spellchecking, giving a last check through for content and sending off today), and! I started on yetti patrol officer, although I got interupted mid way through and watched Inferno instead, one of the most awsome third doctor stories which happened to be on tv, which even features a paralell world with an evil Brigadier!As to worlds of big finish, well the way the plot ran was nice, but the end was just a wimper sinse the big bad enemies were pretty pathetic, both in terms of their easily defeatedness, and in terms of them having probably the least impressive audio presence for any bf foe Ive seen.I also was rather disappointed that more characters from the different series didnt meet each other. The writer said in the extras that he didnt want to mess with Sherlock holms chronology sin
 se obviously holmes would notice if hed been dragged to an alien planet, neither did he want to do the very lame amnesia plot, however why couldnt he have some of the other characters meet up? The only two who did were Vienna Salvatori and Burnice Summerfield, probably two of the least interesting to confront each other both being pretty tough, futuristic ladies, one a bounty hunter the other a professor of archaeology. Very different from say Iris or Dorian grey, or for that matter Amy and Zara from Graceless.If youve not heard many of the series Aaron Im not sure if worlds of bf would be a good one to go with sinse a lot would be a bit incomprehensible. For example Graceless stars two very naive girls (they were literally only created a sort time ago), with nearly infinite power to traverse time and space and make crazy stuf happen, while Dorian features someone who is nearly immortal thanks to a deal he made with his portraite so that all his 
 sins and trials are tracked onto the picture. The only one of the series Id not heard was Bfs take on Sherlock, but sinse Im very familiar with Sherlock Holmes anyway it didnt matter too much.

Things are generally going well. This is the season of final exams for me and I have to study then Ill get the degree, diploma, or whatever you like to call it. On Friday I had the final exam on literature, which, for the first time was extraordinarily boring and really complicated. We had a text in the beginning which sounded really inaccurate and out of the way, since the high school students, I think, must have a more daily basis text written on paper. It really gave me the impression like they were trying to make everything as hard as possible, which, for the level of students here, who honestly arent so good, would sound like reading a scientific book, full of theories and statements. But in the end, I managed to finish everything in a good way, and hope a good mark will come soon.On Sunday I went to a national festival of modern music where my friend was taking part, and he hopefully grabbed a prize. Not that he was bad though.In the end we were rea
 lly disappointed when the presenters gave the big prize for a song full of commercialism and filled with rap music, which clearly didnt deserve it when comparing to a rock song which was really far far better than the other songs contesting.

@exodus the autodrive mod cancels the autodrive when you hit your destination, so youre back at control.@ironcross remember after your helicopter hovers above your destination, you need to press L for autoland.

I understand. I usually use the annotations as well. The manual also covers how to add a word into a dictionary, but you can just use the phonemes to make the synth pronounce words correctly, or pronounce them differently, or even make it pronounce words that it generally cant get right. It may take some time to get it right, I had some trouble getting it to work, but its pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. Anything it sees in square brackets it will treat as phonemes, afterwords it will read the text out of the square brackets as normal text. So in theory you could make a car engine sound with Eloquence, which that would be really cool.

Well, if you purchased the game digitally through the steam store, you can get a refund now, according to this linkIm not sure what the requirements are but, it seems pretty easy to do. Hi,Ive been looking at the topic aprone posted a couple years ago that describes how to do this, and Im confused at one point. When were told that 90 degrees, or 0.5pi radians, is south, how does that work exactly? I understand that computersthink of positive y as down in most cases. At the moment though, Im not doing that, and just assuming positive y is north, because cos(0.5pi) = 0, and sin(0.5pi) = 1. If Im doing this, do I need to change aprones conde in any way? or can I just take the end value that tells you whether the sould would be in front or ehind, and the one that tells you if its to the right or left, and reverse them. Hello allFirst, I really have to thank anyone who gave me links to the Japanese sites on the other topic, but now Im seriously in trouble with google translate. Im not sure what the freak is wrong with the thing, or we cant use it anymore. I cant translate any sites, either Japanese sites or even my Thai site, specificly Japanese, since its what I really want.First, I did the same process like before, pasted the link, and wait for it to be done, but...the content cant be displayed in frame, which is fine.What is not fine, is when I openned the sites in the new window, it popped up image, just image, no sound or anything that can help. I use internet explorer, so Im not able to see capcha like firefox users do, and I have no choice since firefox never work on my crappy laptop. I wanna try the sites, but I cant translate them due to Google prevention. Please, can anyone give me a solution?

A quick comment here about Java. If one really wants to learn how to program in Java there are a few books which I believe are available on the Bookshare site which are very good. Off the top of my head there is Learning Java 3rd Edition, Java in a Nutshell, and Killer Game Programming in Java. All are a good introduction to Java and if one is interested in games those would be my recommendations to start.

I dont know on the novella cae, I can totally see a game of thrones style noble knight by the name of Sir Bubba sunback, whos crest is a duck with a red kneck . The distinctions between redneck, hillbilly, and generally cowboy/cowgirl type of thing always seem a bit weerd to me sinse while Ive certainly seen lots of american series and even some fantasy series that have characters with a southern Us drawl who live in an outdoors or farming way and know about guns and such, (even Avatar had some swamp benders, who also proved to be awsome), theyre only sometimes ignorant or portrayed as overly conservative. Likewise only sometimes the term redneck is used, plus there are so many masculine cowboy sterriotypes that are adopted by even suburban Americans (at least in fiction), it always confuses me. For example, Mark Tufo used the term r
 ednecks in his zombie series to describe a bunch of ignorant men in a truck with lots of guns who went around kidnapping women for less than savory purposes, but then the main character was a down right paranoid ex marine who also had a gun fixation and a less than stellar take on gender relations, so it pretty much seemed the pot calling the kettle red, then again MArk Tufo is hardly someone Id recommend as a paragon of the writers craft .Like a lot of american sterriotypes the idea seems a bit whacky to me, particularly sinse there is nothing comparable in Britain, indeed in Britain farmers are pretty much still very respectable. Well speaking of authors Ive started on perdido street station by China Meevil. Ive been recommended his stuff (and it is a him), for a while, and this is my first forray, and good gods! this is awsome
 ! i dont think Ive read something like this (well not sinse rothfus), which is this detailed or this compelling, and its certainly the down right strangest thing ive read, Im not sure whether its steampunk, traditional fantasy or heck weerd sf, but its both utterly weerd and entirely disturbing! Ive also just come back from a concert where we had Britons young persons guide to the orchestra, which was very well played but horribly narrated, (one of the actors had a voice like a witch), and also far too full of pop culture references (really when your describing the sound of a trombone like being hit by the hammer of Thaw its a bit desperate). Though they also did Chostakovichs second piano concerto which was amazing!

Hi folks,Yes, I do know that this is very laggy. Unfortunately, I think it has to do with my bullet code. I dont think there is much I can do about this, because Im not sure what is lagging it so hard. I dont think theres anything that could. Its weird, and Ive tried a few ways of getting rid of it, all of which have failed. Im sorry but until I can come up with a propper fix for it, itll be laggy with more than 5 on. Rather than inact the player limit on you, Ive decided to let you connect, but in addition you have the lag. Sorry again.

@VictoriousI cant really say as to how practical it would be, since this has never really been done before. There are all sorts of challenges and potential ways to go about doing it, but I think a game similar to Dune 2 may be possible, but not without some sort of color system in place to help make it easier to differentiate between factions and objects. As for resolution, lets say you have a sighted game running at 640 by 480 resolution, typically sprites in such a game would be around 32 by 32, or even 64 by 64 pixels so players could visually read them properly, which means that the maximum amount of tiles players could see would be 20 by 15, or 300 different tiles, or for 64 by 64 tiles, that would be 10 by 7.5, or 75 tiles. Players also typically spend most of their time focusing on only a handful of those, their character, enemies, powerups, etc.In a non-sighted game we could use solid single color blocks to symbollically represent an entire sprite or object as a single tone. This means that unlike sighted games, you dont need sprites to be 32 by 32, or 64 by 64, its all the same. The only difference to you would be that the sound would play longer and in a wider pitch, the tone and what it represents wouldnt change. This means that you could potentially get away with 4 by 4 pixel blocks, or 8 by 8 and still get a similar amount of relevant information over a smaller area.@CAR_JonesIf nothing else I think it would be interesting to explore this, even if it doesnt work out. I created a mockup image of a chess board with 32 pieces, white blocks on top, grey blocks on bottom. Running the vOICe on very slow motion seemed to work alright for making out where each piece was respectively. If it were an actual game, the player could put their mouse over a piece or move around a selection box and it could tell them what the currently selected piece was to help guide them. I might try throwing together a functional prototype and see how it goes.In other news, ive uploaded two prototypes ive been working with, id be interested to see what everyone thinks. Unfortunately it seems Google Drive is flagging one of them, sigh. hi@slj you can enjoy this game on PS4 as well, but there is only one thing that you should know that you cannot mod the game.This means you wont be able to use some features such as autodrive, autopilot and bodyguards, and some other crazy mods that you can install on PC.Whats your PCs specifications anyway? Here are the prototype directions I have for the Besade cloister of trials. This may or may not work well for you.Cloister:Go up 4, left one, face up and activate the door.After the scene, hit it again.Go down one, right, press X. Select the first option.Go right 9, up 2 (presses), press X a couple of times to activate.If you hear the select beep it means you have put the spheer back, so youll need to take it again.Go left, walk up 2, left through a door and then as far as you can after and enter through the door.  Youll insert it.Go up 2, down 5, left 8, right 3, up one and face right. Examine the wall here.Go right 3 and examine the wall. If it doesnt work move slightly left.Go down 8, left a bit and examine.Push forward to move the statue. Then youll see a cutscene.Go down, then up to leave.Go left. Well sinse I am now playing Yetis parole officer, I thought Id reclassify this subject to be about choiceofgames and hosted games generally, not just the shadow horror in particular. I started this one for two reasons, both because I wanted to try something else short before working up to a hugely long game like Tinstar, and because I wanted to see if indeed I could use my phone in Aeroplane mode and despense with the annoying add panel at the bottom of the screen interfering with vo. It turns out that yes, Aeroplane mode does indeed remove annoying adds, which is good to know, although sinse add removal also comes with buying the full game and continuing when youve finished the demo, I wont have to worry about them in Yeti again. Thus far Id describe the game more as light hearted than as actually commical, I havent had any laugh out loud moments although there are obviously points where the author is trying to be hum
 erous like her cod Newzeeland accents, or the bit where you choose your gender and orientation by deciding whether your skirt, suspenders, handbag or trousers gets court on the entrance door to the starship, despite the fact that,  well lots of ladies where trousers who are not! gay, or for that matter lots of ladies who are gay do wear skirts,  and while handbag thing is a bit more streight forward (ha ha), well hay I carry a shoulderbag myself and am not gay, indeed the idea that all gay men flounce about in frilly tights with lisps is really! off. Oh, and when you consider all this was supposed to be in the year 1832 anyway,  well it all becomes a hole bunch more whacked!So, minus ten points for the appeals to sterriotypes or indeed any idea of history. I do enjoy the idea of shifty alien yeti and some of the rolocking good descriptions of ship flight, I also appreciate what I assume is a reference to the very good short Novella A Martian oddyssey with t
 he character of commissioner tweel (although the Martian bird in the novel called Tweel is male). Lastly, Im also not sure how much choice there is in the novel, as with heroes rise it seems more a connected set of incidents with stat tests that you fail or succeed at as opposed to a story with many possible threads. So, while I definitely dont begrudge the couple of squid this cost, at the moment Im viewing Yetis parole officer a little like coca-coler. its sweet, its fizzy, its full of caffein and its a nice thing to experience, but not really rich or satisfying or something youd want too much of . Whether of course I change my opinion as I finish the story,  well we shal see.

Outputting audio on ps4 from your tv to headphones

This is real easy to do! .If you are finding it hard to play games through the tv than you are able to output all audio to any headphones. And I mean any! Weether they be 3.5mm headphone jack or usb headphones.For 3.5mm pairs of headphones, just plug them into the headphone jack on the controller. That is the major difference between them, its the same to enable all audio.I use my g930 headset.To enable this, plug in whatever headphones take your fancy and you should hear a sound on the ps4.Once you hear this, hold the ps4 button for around 2-3 seconds and you should hear a confirm sound, if youve quit games before, you know what I am talking about.After this, the first option is adjust device settings, press x.In this menu, the first 3 options are the most important.The options in this menu are:Controller speaker aud
 io, so if your controller is too loud, adjust this.The next option is the audio loudness coming through the headphones.The last option we need is audio output, press x on this.If you go down in this menu, there is no options because it is set to chat only. To change to all audio, press up once and press x. Then you should instantly hear that the audio is coming through yourheadphones and not your tv.To change it back to your tv, and say your in a game, press the ps button once to go to the dashboard, just makes it easier in my opinion so then you dont need to hear over game sounds.Press and hold the ps button for 2-3 seconds until that submenu comes up, press x again on adjust audio devices, go down twice, press x on audio output and go down once for chat only and press x. I can recall, when you first launch the game, it will ask you to set up some video and graphic settings. I dont really remember how to get passed that screen because when i first launched it, my sister was in my room, playing on my piano so, I just asked her to help with that screen. After that though, that screen only shows up in options.I think, after setting up your video/graphic settings, you will be on the screen where you have to choose your faction.

The real difficulty seems to be two things: information overload (sound is nowhere near as parallelalizable as sight), and distinguishing signal from noise. In a room filled with people, its easy to pick out an individual face, if one has perfect vision, but even with perfect hearing, picking out an individual voice if everyone is speaking is extremely difficult.The vOICes solution is to organize data temporally--instead of getting everything at once, you get a column at once. It can still be messy, but once everything is playing on a predictable interval, it becomes easier to search for the desired information.Im still not sure how well this would work on an RTS scale, though.The vOICe comes with a Tic-tac-toe game, which is very easy to pick up. Would something similar work for, say, Chess? Or even just Checkers?I have no idea; it seems like trying to search columns of 8 (well, Checkers is more like staggered columns of 4) woul dbe much 
 harder.Actually, thats probably worth an actual experiment. Try to determine how much information can fit into a single column and still be usable--bonus points for speed and a decreased learning curve. Its probably possible to design a game based around that.(I would consider doing it myself if I felt like setting up an online scoreboard to track the results.  )

I dont think we can lay all the problem on the players - a big part of the issue stems from overreaction of game admins. A lot of them are capricious and emotional, turning everything into a personal affront that must be destroyed at all costs. Debates escalate to name calling and insults escalate to admins banning people forever in a righteous huff that does nobody any good. Its stupid.On top of that is the hacking issue. The very idea of labeling someone like tyler a hacker is ridiculous - he, along with 95+% of the so called hackers Ive seen, couldnt hack their way out of a wet paper bag. Theyre about as dangerous as puppies: able to poop on the floor where you dont expect it, but not much else. But rather than treat these players like puppies that need to be taught and socialized, helping teach them and helping them grow into decent people, they get treated like crap in
 stead. They get banned, they get yelled at. Small wonder they dont improve.

Well sinse I am now playing Yetis parole officer, I thought Id reclassify this subject to be about choiceofgames and hosted games generally, not just the shadow horror in particular. I started this one for two reasons, both because I wanted to try something else short before working up to a hugely long game like Tinstar, and because I wanted to see if indeed I could use my phone in Aeroplane mode and despense with the annoying add panel at the bottom of the screen interfering with vo. It turns out that yes, Aeroplane mode does indeed remove annoying adds, which is good to know, although sinse add removal also comes with buying the full game and continuing when youve finished the demo, I wont have to worry about them in Yeti again. Thus far Id describe the game more as light hearted than as actually commical, I havent had any laugh out loud moments although there are obviously points where the author is trying to be hum
 erous like her cod Newzeeland accents, or the bit where you choose your gender and orientation by deciding whether your skirt, suspenders, handbag or trousers gets court on the entrance door to the starship, despite the fact that,  well lots of ladies where trousers who are not! gay, or for that matter lots of ladies who are gay do wear skirts,  and while handbag thing is a bit more streight forward (ha ha), well hay I carry a shoulderbag myself and am not gay, indeed the idea that all gay men flounce about in frilly tights with lisps is really! off. Oh, and when you consider all this was supposed to be in the year 1832 anyway,  well it all becomes a hole bunch more whacked!So, minus ten points for the appeals to sterriotypes or indeed any idea of history. I do enjoy the idea of shifty alien yeti and some of the rolocking good descriptions of ship flight, I also appreciate what I assume is a reference to the very good short Novella A Martian oddyssey with t

 evements), I did get a most satisfactorry ending wher I was very awsome and saved the day, indeed I like the fact the ending felt good despite me messing up a couple of the encounters. Ill also admit the game felt much more fun towards the end sinse it played far more like a classic sf adventure than something attempting to be humerous (though what the authors obsession with fish and chips was I dont know). One thing I will say, is it was nice that when something went wrong it didtt feel like a total failure! That was my issue with mecha ace, and indeed last monster master sinse I always got a little too bothered over what happened to my monsters and how they felt for some reason. Actually Ill say Ive noticed the tention in the choiceofgames titles seems far more than in classic gamebooks, sinse you have the hole progressive stats thing, I often find myself overly worried about how a wrong choice will affect my story and just having to say
  hay go with it where as in an ff style gamebook, Im more content to think well if I die, I die! Then again of course, its up to a good choiceofgames author to make sure that a few wrong choices wont! do for your progress in the end. Now, I wonder what game to play next?

hi,I wont write a long or constructive post, but what Id like to say is there should be a separate system, or mechanism to deal with that kind of problems or issues, rather than involving the forum as a medium for pestering the developers with complaints regarding bans, and actions which are already in force.afterall, there are many other contact methods, Skype, emails, pm (on this forum), and twitter/fb/whatever social networking site. plus the supposed contact form/comments section in case the developer here has a good website/blog/similar content. this makes it obvious that there could be many instances in which the mentioned complainer could very effectively approach the developer and voice there claims, while compared to being an attention seeker on a nearly public forum like the one right here. after that, there sometimes comes an anticipated argument against contacting the developers privately, put forth by a bunch of people, that the d
 eveloper had, or would have no difficulties in simply disregarding their say and deleting the emails, or messages in whichever form they are sent, therefore being indifferent to the complaints and moving along their work. hence, a possible reason for that sort of public whimpering over online threads. .if this holds true in certain sinarios, then such practice could as well be exercised on the forum, perhaps a sensible developer should have a reason to completely ignore and divert attention from these people and continue with their game development. expanding multiple threads like this may not only make the forum cluttered but also infuriating for a few people like aarjan and others who find this sort of behavior peculiar, in fact. however, after looking at the amount of such topics over a timespan of last couple of months, it is really odd that a few developers tend to hold certain obligation to respond on the topics here instead of sorting out their diffe
 rences on a private platform. besides, there are a few forumites who seem to cause more trouble by adding more to either side, whether encouragement to fokes like tyler and others, or ruthlessly supporting the developers decision.as far as I may recall, there had been troublemakers who used to hack swamp or create chaos on the server, etc. (afterall, the very reason swamp is now paid and not playable for a few who have shortage of money), and one or 2 of them would have started a similar thread on this forum, asking the developer to remove their ban while providing an odd reason which shouldnt have appeared to be logical. (Im not completely sure about the existence of more than a couple of topics of that form). what, I believe, used to happen is that the developer gave a explicit reason to as why the refered person wouldnt be unbanned, rather in a little blunt tone at the same time, so that the topic in question doesnt spread further 
 and so on. at that time, there werent many who would ramble to that extent, nor did the player insist too much for the removal of his ban, in general that is. moreover as of late, there had been another forum member with issues playing alteraeon, and being banned from public channels because of excessive swearing and other inappropriate behavior on the game. there indeed were a couple of long threads for that matter, but again, the basic outline of these was the need for improvement and his status on the game remaining the same, in fact dentin , Morpheus and a bunch of other players who noticed the topics apparently made clear the reasons for his punishments as well as the extent of the same, explaining as humbly as one may prudently apprehend. they didnt last long as there were no more than a few arguments at first place, and there wasnt a whole bunch of people showing pitty or being sympathetic to the player whose behavior was abnormally improper. so
 me people gave him sound advice, some reacted in a slightly harsh manner. but the entire issue was restricted to just one or 2 threads, not more.now, specially after the release of numerous games by individual developers, a few online multiplayer games to be precise (for example, DMNB and others), the amount of such topics, or posts in other words, has simply grown up by a high margin. however, the more interesting part is that almost all the time, a large part of these conversations is apparently centred around a particular cluster of forum members, which is very disappointing as a whole.seriously, people from both sides should consider putting a hault to such occurances, mainly because in my opinion, all the public attention and discussions, rants, criticisms, and sometimes flamewars as well, would do them no good to have a more benifitial position, in contrast to the one they might carry without existing as a publicly undesirable figure.so, indeed

@JWoodill21 Whenever you have a marker to go to, it appears in your points of interest on the map. Press start, then A. You have all the points of interest available, navigate them using the DPad up and down and press a to set a waypoint, assuming you use an Xbox 360 controller. If you use a keyboard Im not sure on the config keys. Ill post an updated list of the different points of interest tonight, because it changes from character to character so my previous one is kind of useless. Heres another recording, this time just calling a friend and picking him up. This time the autodrive mod had a little issue getting through something, although i got out, walked forward and spawn another car. I was able to go to pick up Frank after that.
