Yep, Paypal is a bit wonky recently, but certainly I've not heard anything to the effect that Draconis aren't around anymore.I hope paypal sort themselves out though, since it'd be a right royal pain if their site didn't workk correctly given the number of developers who rely on them to sell games.

Wind force? I don't remember seeing it. I have all magic on mine I think. meteor rush, aura master, and tribeam. Tribeam is one I never really use because it's random on top of random. It can miss, plus when it hits, there's no guarantee you'll hit all 3 or even 2. It's bleh. Same with all the others like it, shred, pummel and so on. Meh.

I think I said this earlier in the thread, but it's probably been buried.Guys, I only had two gammanets because I transferred one over from a previous save.There is only one gammanet per playthrough. Period. If you bring in more, you'll have more, and that's what I did...specifically for this purpose, actually.Matt, I've downloaded your audio walkthrough and will probably listen to it. I like your choices, though it honestly looks to me like Snowmonno just dies and gets revived a lot. Congrats for sticking with Tylovile. And I have it on good authority that the next update will make Meteor Rush a special move, which will really, really help Orystar out. Does Orystar get Wind Force, by the way? If he does, he might be the premier magic type...a bit frail, but very fast and with decent special attack too.

Hay Jade, is the info on how to get the second gomanet in your gide?I had no idea their was a second one.As for capturing the mythics, I just found an awesome way to do it, though it does require a little bit of luck to pull off.You'll need a ghost type for this to work, but this happened to me.I was trying to capture the vary last manamon, and the fight had gone on for over half an hour when my frogiral got defeated by a lucky critical hit.I sent out my mortrex and noticed that the 158th  manamon was only using wing slash.Eventualy, this happened.Manamon used final endeavor. The move doesn't effect Mortrex.So I chucked giganets at the manamon for a long while until one worked.Maybe I found a bug, but If aaron doesn't want to support Manamon any longer, well, that's his problem then, not mine.If I'd knowned about the second giganet...Well that's all from me.I just downloaded

Hmm, I've always started X with xinit and it works fine for me. This was a fresh install of Arch and I know Mate was running because I could hit CTRL+Alt+Del and space to shut down; Orca just wouldn't start. Suppose I could've figured out the problem but I really didn't feel like it haha.

So here are a few comments I have since i've played for about 5 or 10 minutes. I find navigation to be very very difficult. The footsteps are extremely quiet and you don't know if walls are present unless you bump into them. Would it be possible to enhance navigation by adding other sounds like wind to indicate open passages vs. walls? This is what Entombed does and I find it helpful to know where I'm oriented. Maybe I'm just not thinking the right way? I also found the music was extremely loud, to the point that it was blocking out some of the other sounds. Is there a way to adjust music volume or turn it completely off? I'm also curious about combat. When I target an enemy with tab and press enter, it seems like the character walks to the enemy and attacks with the currently equipped weapon like the axe or arrows. Is this correct? Do you attack with your fists when not using anything else? What does the call item or pressing c do in the inventory? I'
 ;m really starting to like the game, but the weird navigation, quiet footsteps and extremely loud music are turning me off it.

Thanks for the info. I have never tried to scorch him. It's such an arbitrary thing to not be able to do, as I figured other forms of per-round damage work. I guess that's an example of assumptions making an ass out of you and me...well, in this case, me.Guide's done, guys. Except for the niggly little bits that will come in time (like some manamon entries and stuff), I'm done. That last bit just flew by, but mostly because I brute-forced it. Probably used twenty mighty herbs and ten revives on those last stadium leader fights in the postgame, and I had two gammanets so I used them both on the two mythicals I caught (didn't catch Taballus because I don't need to). Not going for the entire manapedia either, as that just takes too much freaking time.So yeah. You won't see many more updates except to correct info, add specific bits or in response to direct player feedback. Thanks for sticking with me. It's been a little slower tha

So some of us could bring in sounds for other happenings. It is not so important for me, but i understand why people asking about more different sounds.I am not sure, but maybe it is a bug? You could try packetsniffing, to see what's being sent and received from the server. Well, yeah that's a gray-area, but so is breaking through drm using codex, for example. They try to make any form of quote unquote tampering with the drm illegal. However, that kind of controlling drm isn't even right, especially if it's checking the license every time. Either Code Factory, or Nuance, or Themida the creator of this drm, went to the Valve Corporation School of invasive license checking.

hmm.  jade.  going through your guide. you say you can freeze, scorch, confuse, erodium.  I had tylavile use ash rain,  and no scorching, I get the message, that does not affect him.hit him with about 20 blaze rampages and still no scorching.confused him with polossis,  battel cried him with leonitar, earthquaked, ice cutter, and blaze rampaged his face.  naturally every ice cutter hit was killing defense even lower,  so I said screw it,  but got him to die eventually.  master stadium ho!    but that was the shadow kingdom version.  the next one.  I'm not looking forward to. even if I bring in that holy dragon to help.but yeah, you can't sleep or scorch him.  I've not tried to paralize him.I know though he can be frozen.

Hey everyone.@Jayde, I used a Snowmono to great success in my most recent playthrough, it was super awesome. It's defences do suck, but it has a ton of HP. As long as you don't send it out against stuff it shouldn't be fighting, it should be fine, or mine was at least. I used the dude in Hazledale city to help me for it's stats, to which I just assigned TPs to help make them suck a little less.For everyone else, my audio playthrough is done up to the completion of the main game. I have four BGT installers which I've packaged into a .7Z, I think one of them is 1.1. Here's the link.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2870100/bgt.7zNote that older BGT versions require a license key in order to compile, and supposedly embed a unique ID into each executable which, at least during the commercial life of BGT, could be tracked back to the license used to compile them. Whether such tracking is still possible is unknown. All this to say, if someone were to provide a BGT license key (probably not technically illegal now since it's gone free) Blastbay might be able to trace any executables produced with it back to that key's owner.

I've always installed using the talking arch live media, but then put gnome or mate on there plus x11, lightdm and gtk_greeter. I've never been able to start my desktop by startx or putting lightdm in the .xinitrc file like I've read you can, but I just log in through that greeter and it works. orca will not come up automatically, but you can usually start it with super S, or super then type orca, or alt F2 then type orca or whatever your desktop calls for. sometimes I will ahve to do orca --replace because it screws up and dies.

@Aprone, drop me an email on alternative descriptions and some notes on the different lands (eg, culture and climate so I don't have a description of snow bound woods in the desert kingdom), and I'll see what I can do. That's the sort of project I love putting time into. As regards clients and such, personally I'm very happy with the browser version myself, indeed when the game is a bit more complete you might consider linking with some of the gamebook sites for games like Age of fable since fans of gamebooks would probably enjoy this sort of game as well.

Thanks for making it happen.Are there any plans to have an index of all the games in the archive, or a search feature?The developer of a sought after game isn't always going to be known, so having the games listed by developer isn't all that useful.In fact, I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm far more likely to remember the name of a game, rather than who its developer was.

A good thing that could be added if this game gets updated again is the possibility of interrupting the transformations. I mean, Pokemon allows you to do it, and thanks to this you can have a level 55 Dragonite with outrage for example. Because of that I want a level 65 Dragomier with Dracobreaker. I want it so much. Provided the moves learning curve is altered the same way as in Pokemon if such an update happens and you decide to prevent the transformation.

I'll search my old hd and see if I have a working copy of Mario. I had it in the what would've been abandonware games bt sync folder, which was a trainwreck which led to things being uploaded, deleted, and it just overall becoming a disaster with it being left open.

If it's a new computer, then the built-in Windows Defender is most likely configured to be running by default. Windows 10 does that as far as I've heard. I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials on my Windows 7 all the time, without any issues at all, and it's not slowing down any games or other software in any noticeable way for me, but I don't know, maybe the Windows 10 Defender is a bit more strict by default or something like that. I would recommend you to try taking a look at its settings. Probably the easiest and fastest way for you to find it would be through the default Start menu search field.Hope this helps,Lukas

It could be either. It shouldn't be your disc space, unless you somehow have used up all 500 gb? If that's the case, try removing some games. Otherwise, it's most likely an internet problem. Last resort, put the ps4 in rest mode, turn it back on. Then, find the icon of the game in question, press the options button and select information. It should tell you if the game is downloading or not.

Seems to be just one dev working on Orca right now, along with another one on speech-dispatcher which might as well be a part of it. Not sure about brltty or at-spi. I believe the situation is the same for GTK+ though I'm not positive (just heard somewhere that there is only one full-time dev) so this isn't limited to just the accessibility stuff.Edit: Who am I kidding...I'm bored with a lot of time on my hands and have a spare desktop.

oh yeah, I came across that as well. Very nice sounds indeed, but about sounds for the different kinds of attacks and monsters as well as weapons, I would be very happy in a new update if possible, since some monsters and attacks sound all the same. Yeah, that was the scroll I meant. Ah, so it's results don't show up immediately. Great thing however and I think the AI in the game is very good too. To me it seemed to act very good. I even was in a situation were I got told that my character hears combat sounds in the distance but I can't investigate it, cause I was lost in a part of the dungeon. Man, this is so funny already and the best is that it is free. I mean, if it would be buyable, I would deffenately buy it. Cool.

I wouldn't go quite that far and say Placebot was added for filler. I will say that it was not so greatly planned, that's all. It was probably something someone thought was a really excellent idea, and that worked on paper sort of, but doesn't work in a real battle. Same with Domestress. Same with about half the roster, honestly. This is the sort of detailed testing that a beta team should be doing, finding out what works and what doesn't, and better yet, finding out why.Most games have this problem to some extent. Choice A is just all-around better than choice B sometimes. Oh well. Such is life. But when choice B is unusable in practical contexts, it really makes things difficult.

You can not name your character, but at the end of the game your rank in the high score table will be announced, and then you can use arrow keys to go through all the entries in the high score table.

[[wow]], placebot seems like one of those that was put in to add content based on what I'm reading here. I always wondered what the point of that was. You see it on muds all the time. The descriptions boast of tens of thousands of rooms, which sounds impressive, until you start exploring, and you find out that all those rooms serve as nothing more than filler to make the paths from area to area that much longer. I wish there was a written log that could be generated from battles so I could give exact numbers but it happens often enough that I can predict dragon type = magic dragon followed by the announcement that it was defeated, with the option to choose another. Banyardan comes in and there's an ice attack waiting, with the defeated announcement again, and another choice to be made. I don't know if it's one of those where if(UnluckyBastard == WhateverSignifiesThisIsABanyardan) do_ice_damage(UnluckyBastard) or if I'm just that unlucky. It seems more pred
 ictable than it is random though. I know magic dragon is not the only thing he knows. There's wing slash, dragon fang, I think he gets draco breaker, and I've seen draco blitz used on others as well. I also know it can do more than ice damage because I've seen it. But for whatever reason, dramegon seems to be married to magic dragon and thus needs a metric asston of hp to absorb it, cuz it's gonna be comin'! If it is a set thing though, that would certainly reinforce the idea that there's really only one acceptable way to kill irroadium unless you get lucky. For my second fight, I wonder if I should use thornita and hydrake, to let him beat himself for a while, arctana and deciced or something that have a chance to freeze it, then mondevol and pandorbit to do some more damage and confuse and do unending curse and such. Hah, what a fail!

Dragomier is definitely harder to raise, you're right. But I don't know why Irroadium is so bent on using Magic Dragon on you. It wasn't on me. I think I probably dealt with it, but not nearly to quite the same extent as you seem to be dealing with.This isn't to say that you're wrong, or that you're not being clear. It's only to say that I'm frankly kind of surprised.So, I took Placebot for a bit of a spin over the last while, and it's not going to work.At level 45, it has around 60-70 in every stat except HP. This simply isn't good enough. Either you give it the defense add-on to boost its survivability and it can't kill things, or you give it one of the three attack add-ons to boost its attack capacity, and it dies in two hits. If you stick to either physical or magic attacks (physical seems better overall), there's no doubt it will hit pretty damn hard, but the drawbacks in defense and speed are just
  too big to cope with.This is what I mean when I talk about great ideas and unworkable execution. If Placebot had about 20 extra defense/special defense/speed, it would work. He still wouldn't be overwhelming in any capacity but at least he'd be competitive. As it stands, though, he basically has Snowmonno syndrome.If he could equip two pieces of equipment instead of just one, that might also help.Ah well.

So yeah. Got dramegon to 59 and am just stumped how anyone manages to get it to last against irroadium. I put it in among the first 3 to be sent out, magic dragon, one hit. I sent it in after one of the first 3 gets killed, magic dragon, one hit. It's the same deal with banyardan. It gets an ice move and gone in one hit. Mondevol and erroir and pandourbit get to stick around for a little while longer, and orystar too I guess, but dragon against irroadium sounds like a bad idea. Banyardan against irroadium seems like a bad idea. No idea how you'd keep a dragon type around long enough to get off a draco breaker unless you were lucky enough to get the benefit of a magic dragon miss. And dragomier I thought was kind of a ninny because he got his better moves much later in the game than the others?

Chris for the time being, neither this game nor Blazing use the actual Kaldobsky gamer accounts.  You can just fill in whatever you like.  Down the road, I do intend to switch them over to using the official gamer accounts, but I have to do a lot of back-end coding to get the official ones compatible with how I made these web games.Firefly, sorry I didn't answer your question sooner.  When looking back, I noticed your comment and I must have somehow missed it the first time.  My apologies.If the game were to get very popular, like popular enough that it was worth taking time away from other projects to make a dedicated Seven Shores client, then I might.  Even if I did, I'm sure it would not be what people are hoping for though because it would be a windows client, not a phone/tablet one.Getting a client app to run nicely on the different platforms is a bit of an undertaking.  Yeah I know there are shortcuts to make it wo
 rk by using engines and libraries written by other people, but with a few exceptions I only use code I've written myself.  The exception is that I'm willing to use Microsoft's Direct X library for loading in sound files, adjusting volume, and adjusting pan.  To me those features are so basic that I don't feel like I'm riding along on someone elses work by using them.  I never use any of the other direct X sound, positioning, or direct input features.The simplistic nature of Seven Shores and Blazing were done this way because it meant I didn't need dedicated client apps for the games.  The same game will run in someone's browser on windows/mac/linux, on any tablet, and on all the smart phones.  So working across the board is a huge plus, and the price for getting that so easily is that it is limited to the webpage themed design.  I hope that made sense.I never put sounds into Blazing, but I really should s
 it down and work the bugs out of that code.  Even simple sounds would probably liven up both games and make them feel more professional than they currently do.

@Aprone, I've not actually seen the thieves yet, just the tower, and there's no indication of strength on that, hopefully the descriptions will help somewhat. As regards loyaltyI don't like the lands staying loyal to you since that has the potential of monopolising things a bit too much for a couple of players if someone always steaks out the same land. On the other hand, it'd be nice if there was some continuing bennifit from your character's deaths. Actually things getting too static is also something I wondered about in Blazing (hence my suggestion about settlement attacks). So, how about a legacy system. Basically the first time you visit a settlement that was loyal to your old captain you get a message "someone recognizes you as a friend of captain insert old captain and gives you a present of x gold/resources" Optionally, you could also consider having your old ship wrecked on the square you died for your new ship
  to plunder part of the resources of, eg "Washed up on the beach you see a cargo crate baring the name of captain insert old captain name's ship, inside you find x quantity of resources from old ship" Actually this is one thing I  wondered about in blazing as well with the corpses of your dead adventurers kicking around to loot somewhere .In text games, using different descriptions to enhance atmosphere of situations with similar functions combined with the ambiguity of actual text is something I always admired.Fallthru does it, king of dragon pass does it, and many other games do it to. If you want assistance with writing descriptions for different types of places depending upon climate and culture of different lands, I'd be glad to help there. Same goes with Blazing, I love the formula of both of these games, it's
  the sort of really simple but addictive system that could create something truly amazing when put together with some mechanics and also be satisfying to a good number of players.

Mayana, yeah all of your lands reset when you die.  I thought about making them stay loyal to the new you once you've started over, and that may be a change I make in the near future.Crew morale is what tends to kill me off too, so I may need to make it a little easier in that regards.  What I personally do is hire new crew whenever I can, and hope one or more is an entertainer.  Those guys gradually raise the crew's morale as you sail around.

I'm getting a bit better at this game, but still not quite. Making people work for you is very nice, but from what I have seen they no longer do that if you start over, and I usually don't manage to stay alive long enough to get any benefits from those workers. I probably need to find a land with more ins and taverns and less sharp rocks and high winds. I seem to be unlucky, crew morale allways drops to fast.

Dark I've tried to add some helpful descriptions to those enemy encounters.  A few of them give you very specific details, while others give you an estimate.  For example, it may say there are about 7 thieves when there may be 6 or 8.  This is me trying to pass a bug off as a feature, in true programmer fashion.  Some locations can customize their description as needed while others can not based on how things are designed.  When it cannot alter its description I had to be vague because the conditions of the battle are a bit random and there is no way to display what those values will be.Customizing the locations for each land is definitely something I want to do.  I almost blocked off 6 of the lands before making the game public, just because they were all still flavorless copies of the first.  A few differences in prices and amounts of certain shops, but they all sound alike.  That's one of those things that will just take 
 time to sit and write out new descriptions for everything.  Looks like you've given me a small head start on that.  Smoothgunner, haha sorry about that!  I believe it was late last night or early this morning (depending on time zone) and I was watching you and a few others circling the land.  I think you had at least 6 shops loyal to you, which is pretty good in my opinion.Baruch, at the moment I believe each land has 124 spaces.  To move you roll a 1D6 die, so we could say on average you move about 3.5 spaces per turn.  I guess that means it will take, on average, about 35 rolls to fully circle a land.Mayana, prices are still going to be adjusted further, but it is true that prices differ based on which land you're on.  Each land will be pretty close to average on 5 of the game's 7 resources.  Each land
  has 1 plentiful resource that it sells for cheaper and pays very little for.  Each land also has 1 scarce resource that it charges more for, but pays more when you are selling it.  The gap between "cheap" and "expensive" is what I still plan to mess around with.  I want there to be a lot of room to make money buying and trading resources between lands, but I also don't want to totally screw over players to where they cannot get a particular resource without traveling somewhere else.  It's a balancing act.

My client is running, so I know there's at least one peer with the content. Try giving it some time and see what happens. If nothing happens, I really don't know what to say except possibly try joining other BT Sync folders, even if you don't really want the content. If none work, there's probably some problem with your computer or your network that's keeping traffic from getting through.

I tried this game for a bit earlier. I'm not doing to well yet, but I'm sure I'll figure it out once I get the strategy. So far I only explored 2 islands, so should probably go check out more of them, to see which one has the cheapest prices then stick with the best one, if there's such a thing. This does seem to be quite a nice game, though.
