It's strange!Samsung as well changed the design of the Galaxy s6 almost entirely and it didn't cause such a big concern. Neither did the size of the iPhone 6. The removal of traditional headphones caused something I've never seen before, for something I think it's not as some people make it to be. It's the decision of the company to make the change, and although you can take a step to change it, there's nothing illegal Apple is doing here. If you like, you can get away with it, or if you don't like you can choose another platform which, in its lifetime, will disappoint you as well, just like Apple did. I would not personally switch to another platform only because of a small change that does not affect the platform itself. Apple will function without the traditional headphone jak, and whoever wants to buy it will be free to do it.Important to say: Apple is not my God!

Superb, the games will be restored. No question about that. Sooner or later, we will have the games back up. When, not sure, but hopefully soon. The loss of the directory most certainly doesn't mean the games are gone, after all John has them stored locally, and as an added precaution once the games are back up, I'll most likely back up the archive to my hard drives as well.

I'm just not sold on banyardan. I dumped it at level 33. Skirial I dumped at level 29. So from then I was using leonatar, mondevol, orystar, erroir, dramegon, and I had tenshaino for a while but it didn't get serious use. Got him to 51 or something thinking I'd need him for mortrex or morghoul or something but he wasn't fast enough to hit them and just died straight away. Haven't tried grandlan yet. I usually go with orystar because it's right there in the mineruff tunnel. I figure after grinding it up to transform it I may as well keep it around. Plus meteor rush really hurts! He gets wing slash. Somehow I never noticed that before. Is that new? I remember thinking on a previous playthrough that this guy is magic and air, but all his attacks are magic type.

I'd honestly argue for Bombusect being better overall than Skiriel. By level 30 Skiriel struggles to do the kind of damage it did back when it was level 15, whereas Bombusect's tankish strategy still works pretty well until you get well into the 40s at least. Although I did dump Skiriel exactly 1 level before it would've learned Rage Bug, so maybe that changes things. Bombusect also doesn't really get more insect attacks than fang drain, so maybe your criteria states that they have to actually be able to do decent damage with that type.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but I might be wrong.Nice to know about Kinidul. A tankish flame type, sorta along the lines of Fiendour but not undead, is welcome.Just about to hit the factory, and the entire team is level 41-43 or thereabouts.Submenno is a bit frail, but his attack is surprising. He gets PowerFang, HydroFang and Frigid Touch, as well as Slash and Sneer (the latter to lower foe's defense if he gets a chance), so that looks good.Mondevol is just good at being Mondevol, same with Fiendour.Dragetull is surprisingly weak in defense, but his other stats are fairly good, especially his special defense. Wing Slash is nice, but Elemental Breath around 46-47 is a crapshoot and we really, really need better. Replace with Dragon Fang maybe.Garganchan's biggest shortcoming, aside from bad speed, is his HP, which I find extremely surprising considering how huge he is. Oh well. Every other stat is good. Even his special at
 tack is serviceable, but physical attack, especially, is brutal. Trample actually wrecks stuff and lets him hit first sometimes, so this is an example of a weak move with a niche role. Dropped Charge Tackle in favour of Piledriver, which is guaranteed damage in the event I'm stuck in a fight I don't like.And then there's Pandourbit. I really do like this guy, even if he's slower than dirt and has a lot of weaknesses. His defenses are good, HP is pretty solid, and though it takes him awhile to get going, he starts really coming into his own. Roar is a move I'm going to probably have to remove on him during the Irroadium fight, but it's great setup otherwise, empowering Earthquake, Stone Throw and Spirit Force all at once. He could get mean if I'm just a bit fortunate.Loving this team so far. I don't have any outright disappointments, the way Lamgurk was last time.Do let us know your findings on Galvanna when you get there. V

[[wow]], I was able to fight irroadium without dramegon getting blasted with a magic or a dragon move straight away. Maybe the key is starting first. I had a team ranging from level 56 to 58, except for polosses. He was also at 58, but I used level-up herbs to get him to level 70, because ice tempest. Btw that move really, really hurts! It was doing 100 damage a round, and that made it a pretty easy fight. Some of those, and a couple draco breakers, and a couple earthquakes from leonatar, and it was over. I had him dead in less than 5 minutes. So yeah, kill it this way! But oops, I didn't get the chance to check, does his god form have that ability that makes you use 2 usage points instead of 1, even on misses? Even for the mythicals?

He said there probably won't be any huge updates, but as far as I know, he's still fixing minor bugs and making small balance tweaks. The most recent update is from last weekend.Kinidul gets Torch at level 60. Definitely glad to see that. Probably either Blaze Rampage or Flame Blizzard at 70, if it follows the pattern that Polosses does it'd probably be flame blizzard. He has very solid HP, great defenses, decent speed and workable attacking stats.Speaking of Polosses, just caught that and it has replaced deciced. Everything's reasonable or better except magic attack, which I won't be using, including remarkable speed and defense. He's a bit more focused on speed and attack stats, with defense a bit higher than special defense. Rest of the team is about l50, so I've got a bit of a grind coming, but not as much as I will with Galvana.

I'm working on it, however this will be difficult because I keep messing up the song. Basically, I have to shift the notes up by 1 octave, and a find and replace is going to be difficult, because it keeps catching the wrong notes in the process. so I might as well do it by hand. But since I assigned a pitch to everything except unvoiced consonants, it will take a while.

Hmm, I see. OpenAL is broken into two branches, the closed source OpenAL by Creative, and the open sourced version called OpenAL Soft. OpenAL Soft is the better maintained of the two, usually they recommended installing regular OpenAL from openal.org to setup proper linking, then replace the dll's with those from OpenAL Soft for more features and fixes.The problem may be that because your using a 64 bit system its not putting or finding the correct up to date version in the right folders. The OpenAL32.dll I included was the 32 bit version, you could try grabbing the 64 bit version out of OpenAL Soft and replacing the one in the folder with the example script. Generally, for 64 bit systems the 32 bit OpenAL32.dll goes in the syswow64 folder, and the 64 bit version goes in the system32 folder.

Thats odd, the example script doesn't even use alcGetStringiSOFT. Did you already have OpenAL installed before hand? The pack comes with the latest version of OpenAL Soft, if you run it with that and the hrtf tables in the same directory as the example script it should default to that one. If that doesn't work, try updating or installing the latest version of OpenAL Soft.

I have no problem with read-only keys. And yes, it is possible to hand out read/write and read-only keys to the same folder. a friend of mine is hosting several BT Sync folders. One of them he entrusted me with a read/write key, but on his web site he has a read-only key. Now, I have not tested both keys or verified anything, but I am pretty sure BT Sync could do that. Erick, as a contributor to the archive and as just a forum member in general, I must say that post was pretty unnecessary. It is very easy to see that the links have gone down most likely due to a flag from an Antivirus, not because of anything we did. Having ftp access to the server I can confirm, for your benefit and for everyone else wondering, that the last time I logged into the server, the games directory was gone. Complaining to us is not only unnecessary, but it does nothing to solve the problem. If anything, JollyLeaf, our webhost, would be the one to complain to, but you still shouldn't do that, because they're doing all they can too. Shit goes down all the time, and this is just one of those incidents. Antivirus can be a real pain in the ass at times, which is why I personally just steer clear from it in general, and just use my own logic to be mindful of what I'm downloading, without any "help." As for the Bt Sync folder, I could see about maki
 ng a bt sync folder. Perhaps one can be made, but we'll definitely be passing out read only keys this time round. For those who may remember, I did once set up an abandoned games bt sync folder of all the stuff I had, and I made the mistake of giving an open-access key out publicly. Turned into a mass trainwreck. We had movies placed in the folder, brand new games that were still around on their websites, some people uploaded cracked games, it was an epic fail. I think I may remember the infinite v file duplicating virus hitting the folder , thought not sure on that one. Eventually the whole thing resulted in a lot of shit getting deleted, and I was hosting on a cloud at the time which you can't trust anymore after my experience with two! platform shutdowns, Wuala and Bitcasa. So, if I'm gonna do an alternate bt sync folder, it will,1. be hosted on my 2tb external hd, so will definitely have backups. I still have my older external as well so I can have a seconda
 ry backup in case someone hacks the folder.2. will definitely be giving out read only keys to everyone.3. May or may not be as up to date as the website. It looks like with bt sync you have to choose whether to give out read only or public keys, you can't give public ones to a few people then read only ones to the rest, sadly. This is why Bt Sync is not a very reliable option, so a fair warning that if one is set up, it will most likely be for alternate backup purposes only. If you really wanted the whole archive in one download, you could probably do a save complete webpage in your browser.

Hi.Ok, I have to admit that I didnt read the whole post, but I will post my thoughts here.In all honesty, for people that have an iPhone 6 S right now, an upgrade would just be money thrown out of the window with this new model.I don't want to say that it is a bad phone which it isn't, but I feal that apple is currently in a kind of relacsed state and failing to improve their devices with something new and exciting.Ok, I personally think that the big phone will come next year as the 10 year anniversary phone, but I hope till then that apple has something to show the world.I am playing with the thought of updating, even though I have an iPhone 6 at the moment, I guess an update couldnt be a bad idea.

I've not had the time to read through this whole topic, but I will say I am willing to upgrade to iPhone 7. I figure, we're all going to have to upgrade someday. Some Apple users might switch to Android but the ones that wish to stick with Apple will eventually have to get used to the lack of a normal earphone jack so why not get used to it now before other things are built upon it, thus making it harder to adapt to? That's doubtful though, because Apple would have to make it useful for people just coming to their service.

Well, how do you like that? I sent an email to Code Factory asking for assistance with lagging problems with programs that use their Eloquence for Windows, and so far, no response.So, not only is Nuance not supporting Eloquence by not maintaining it, Code Factory is following Nuance's example by not providing support for the product.On the flip side, I've found a way to never run out of activations for the Eloquence for Windows. The neat thing is that it doesn't involve hacking, cracking, or anything else that might be considered illegal because it uses what Code Factory provided.Here's how you do it.- Make a backup of your system using a backup program that creates an image of your hard drive. I used the Backup and Restore built into Windows and it worked just fine.- Run Eloquence and deactivate it, this moves the license from your computer to their activation server effectively increasing your remaining activations by 1.
 - Restore your system using the image you just made, for this I used one of the  talking Windows 7 PE CDs.Now you have an activated Eloquence and one more allowed activation. This can be repeated, but I'd guess that the server will only go up to 3 allowed activations.Enjoy! And stick it to Code Factory!

You'll see that with electric shield on mon that are immune to electric as well. The move does not affect pandourbit. Kind of strange to see. The first time I saw a mon use that I thought it was one of those where it would shock you for a portion of the damage you did to it, which would have been neat. When I saw the repeat explosion bug, I wondered if the game was just going to end on a sort of crash, since you, er, can't progress until that cutscene is done. That would fail. You have to do quite a bit to get to that point.

I think what most likely happened is that a false positive was found and that in turn flagged the whole archive and had it taken down for some reason. Not sure of details, but I really do hope it can be restored. If not, then a BT Sync folder is imho a viable option.Erick, we do not appreciate that tone on this forum. All you needed to do was look at the last few posts of the topic... not even the entire thread... to find your answer. Just found another bug.I was facing a Viralite that decided to use fly against my Jimitron, so I was like, what the hell, I'll use electric shield because it's not like I can do anything else this turn, and it... missed. Whoops? Electric shield is supposed to be used on my side of the field, not on the flying Viralite.

I'm now back to that point in the game where I need to build up a new team, to fight irroadium. All ice and magic types I guess? Dragon types are out. Period. Because no, kill it this way! So like orystar? Mondevol? Arctana, the ice mythical and snowmonno for trap damage? Pandourbit for when snowmonno dies? All leveled into the 60's? Trying to think of things to make this fight easier. Also, I'd love to see misses not cost usage points. I mean it already costs you hp in the form of a skipped attack and an extra round for the enemy to pound on you and there's no status that controls it. So you have 5 usage points for oblivion slash, and you spent 4 of them on misses, doing a combined total of zero damage. But you still have one left right? It's gonna hit this time! I just know it! So really you have to spend gold on revives, healing items, and skill drinks, just to cover misses. You have some earth type that can take an ice type out with one hit. Yeah it
 39;s neutral damage, but you don't care. You're just that good. You're feeling like a real badass now, licking your chops and talking a lot of trash. Your team is nice and overleveled and you're feeling a little lazy. Whoops! Your one hit missed, and you got hit with frigid touch, and died. What were you saying? Your who can what? You've got an air type coming up, and your earth type has a gravity magnet equipped? You mean the one that just died? That one? Oh dearie. Guess you'll be switching to an electric type now eh? Martiagle! This guy's gone in one hit if sparking tail doesn't miss. But it did miss, and its first move was fly, and it was a critical hit. With your electric type out of the way, you get an idea! You have an earth type, with a grav... Never mind, he's still dead. So you make do with what you have left instead of making quick work of your opponent. You're losing members of your team when you shouldn't have even 
 been taking any damage. That's one thing I haven't trained for. Putting all training points into defense and hp for a little wiggle room for when misses crop up. Is that really a thing? Planning to miss? Can it be done to any effect?

Sounds like he forgot to add Wing Slash to Oristar's level up move list while he added it to Zintrabat's. Unless it was deliberate, there are other mons that transform with an item who miss out on some moves. Not to the extent they do in Pokémon, but Frorgerel, for instance, loses out on lightning bolt if you transform it too fast.I personally haven't had much of an issue levelling up my Paladine. Granted, it would've been a much bigger pain in the butt had I not had Dustin helping me out with 2 on 2 wild encounters, but that is available right where you catch Paladore, so speculating as if it was not is irrelevant. It was a lot easier than levelling up Feefeye for whatever reason. Once he learned White Lance at level 35, naturally he became much more self sufficient. BTW, if you're having trouble with him being slow, buy a holy ring and equip it, it gives him 15 speed, which at this point in the game is actually pretty significant. My paladine outspeeds plenty of stuff at the same level with absolutely 0 train points put in speed.To the person asking about Irroadium: Go read Jayde's guide, he has lots of tips in there for things that work. Also do a search here, there have been lots of posts about it, including at least a few people detailing how they beat it.Caught myself a Kinidul with at least reasonable potential in every stat, good enough. The defensive fire type thing still raises an eyebrow or two, but 1) he does have some moves to take advantage of it, and 2) Unlike in Pokémon there's a lot more equipment to help negate weaknesses, such as the broomstick I just got. Also, have I mentioned this guy, just like his 2 siblings, has infinite usage points for all moves? Unless you're facing Irroadium, Zeogneoss, or Tabalus, that is. That's a pretty serious perk. Interested to see how this guy pans out. Learns Restoration at level 50 though, which in most cases for this guy is actually detrimental, so he's got the moves he's got for a while.

Legal, I am betting not, actually I'm counting on it. And the bat to exe thing: also doubtful. Blind Extra is not even really an nvda addon. It is more like a program that integrates with nvda like math player. It also needs administrative access when installing, so for me, this is a red flag.

Yeah, I just tested this and you're right. Zintrabat learns Wing Slash at level 25. So basically I should have waited just one freaking level to transform it into Orystar and I would have had air-type coverage. Oh well, now I know.

Personally, I find the addon itself very, very suspicious. The fact that the author is using a bat to exe converter for his files is suspicious, because who knows? For all I know he could delete system files, delete my users directory, or anything else that is very nasty, and I wouldn't know because the batch file is compiled. And Windows has native support for batch files, so putting them in to an exe is not necessary. And it seems this addon is mostly closed source, and the only code that is open source is the code that runs the executables for the menus. Myself, I would contain this addon in a virtual machine until the author reveals more about it.

Escape From Cyberdyne is a new freeware game, written in BBC Basic for Windows, and designed from the ground up for blind gamers by a developer who is new to audio games. So I would be glad to receive any feedback.It is loosely based on the old BBC Micro arcade game called Cybertron Mission.The mouse is the main method of sensing and control, with speech and four sound channels providing information about the environment. Limited graphics can be turned on as an aid, but the game was designed to be played non-visually.As the sounds are created programmatically, the size of the program is very small. There is no installation necessary. Thanks Nathan, that's handy, it'll take me a bit to refamiliarize myself with the game, but I look forward to trying some more activities, I'll also write up a db page (I love the soundpack, the changes are great). You might also consider changing the connection info and soundpack link on the cosmic rage website, since that way people are more likely to find what they're looking for.

An update:The games directory has been quarantined.I'm working with the host to figure out what we can do to get the situation resolved as quickly as possible, but have no known timeframe.The archive will continue hosting the quarantined games if and only if we can be guaranteed a repeat incident won't occur; should the issue be a developer's use of virus-like registration or installers, we'll simply remove their titles from the site and make a note of false positive generation.

If there's a really great moo, that one's Cosmic rage. true, there are bugs. But even more true, is that if reported, they get fixed. The hosts care. Like, they care, for real, and don't make the players to feel bad for asking a simple question. Give cosmic rage a try. You become a player, but also, you get the chance to make the game better by suggesting and reporting. Don't get mad if someone doesn't answer instantly on the newbie channel. Like you or me, they are busy, or didn't saw what you asked. Don't give up at the first bug, or at the first problem you find.
