Chris, apparently they kind of police what you can do with the api. It's not as easy as creating a developer profile and adding a program, which is what you can do for twitter. I for example have already done it, on Twitter, making an experimental twitter bot, but the process was seemless. NOt the case with facebook. They want you to quote unquote be innovative with the api. They're expecting things like games that utilize the api, and what they don't want is apps that utilize the entire api so as to replace Facebook's own stuff. And that my friends is how you know they're doing it wrong. When they think that their soltuion is the only one and are willing to stand behind that judgement. Twitter on the other hand has a pretty good accessibility team working to improve native accessibility, but acknowledges that there are other solutions out there that may provide a better and more accessible user experience. That's how accessibility should be done. In 
 short, know your place among others is a general rule for these companies. Hmm, now that I think about it, I'm wondering if Facebook's strict policies regarding api use had a partial hand in making social-eyes paid? Gw Squared's responsible for the high price, but I'm starting to wonder, there may be more to it than just that. Sadly wouldn't surprise me if there was.

I just can't seem to figure out whats up with the sapi drivers, everything in the driver seems to check out but nothing happens with a compiled binary. Its weird because Pyttsx's sapi drivers haven't given me any problems when compiling. Digging a bit more into a_o2 I was actually really surprised at just how easy it is to plug in and run with the NVDA controller though, not that I play with dll's much, heh. Example:import ctypes

I think maybe i'll go with Pyttsx and directly embed the screen reader drivers, see how that goes. On a side note, other than getting nvdacontrollerclient32.dll from Accessible_output2, is there any other official download or repo for it?Edit: Nevermind, found it on the [NVDA github].

Running fsx;se and no problems on windows10 with a bunch of addons running as well.  It helps if you ahve a separate video card to help offset some of that power it needs.  You should look up some of the riggs people make for simming, it's ridiculous.

Chapter 3 completed and to be honest it wasn't hard at all. Now on chapter 4, almost done. Another lovely light puzzle was pretty easy to deal with, so it seems I'm guessing this one will go smoothly as well. I just love the story of this game. It's just sick, as well as the gameplay. Tomorrow I will be uploading what I have as a guide. I use one of the walkthrough from gamefaqs.com, and I included all the menus layout as well.

I am on win 10 and have the steam version and it has not crashed once across my old desktop and this new laptop. There are usually a reason for FSX crashes, the chief is VAS related OOM crashes which essentially means you ran out of memory, since it is a 32 bit app, you can have as much RAM in your computer as you want, but overload the sim with too much scenery, high detail aircraft, traffic etc. and you will run out of memory and the sim will crash. Another common one actually that you will receive with the hard copy is UiAutomationCore.dll related crashing.I may be able to buy the addon after all this month, probably gonna do that tomorrow, would anyone help me over skype or TT or something of that nature if I have questions about the addon?

Hi all,Just saw this topic, this may be a bit late, but here goes.As a fellow Win10 user myself, I do not recommend the FSX steam edition.I have no clue if it is just me, but I had no end of problems with it, it eventually just decided to crash about every 30 seconds.I mannaged to get my hands on a hardcopy, and I can say for a fact that yes, it does work acceptionally well on Win10 64bit.HTH,Daniel

With Castaways, it is sort of a mix between real time and turn based.  Pressing space pauses time, allowing you to issue orders and decide what to do next.  Space again unpauses time.  It is handled in much the same way a turn based game lets you plan things out before allowing the game to advance further.

Not to mention that the HIMS Sense line starting with I believe Sense V8.2 have Facebook support as a native client, located within the Social Networking menu in the Main menu. But, there are some things you have to do to get it working first. For one, when you first try to sign in, it won't let you, since it thinks the Sense notetakers are not trusted, so you have to go and change that, since it also says you're signing in from South Korea, since that's where the main HIMS office is. I can't remember how to do it, mainly because I'm not interested, but there are some users on the HIMS Notetakers list that tell you how to do it, and I believe the user manual has some instructions too, if I'm not mistaken. It also has a Twitter client, but I can't give a say on how those two clients work.

I would really like to know what the big deal is concerning the refusal to create an API. The main reason I quit using Facebook after briefly trying it in 2014 was the simple fact that the website was awful! Why won't they allow third party developers to create a simple program that accesses all the basic features of the service? What happened to that GW Social program? Is it even actively being developed or did they scrap it because no one was paying for it. That still makes my skin crawl when I think about what the people at GW did.As for the mobile apps, I'm never using those again. For some reason, they take up hundreds of megabytes of storage and constantly grow as more data is added. I thought this was a web service, not a "let's download a ton of garbage to your device" service. In short, I'm not touching Facebook again until I can download a simple program on my computer to access the service.

I just can't seem to figure out whats up with the sapi drivers, everything in the driver seems to check out but nothing happens with a compiled binary. Its weird because Pyttsx's sapi drivers haven't given me any problems when compiling. Digging a bit more into a_o2 I was actually really surprised at just how easy it is to plug in and run with the NVDA controller though, not that I play with dll's much, heh. Example:import ctypes

On a side note, other than getting nvdacontrollerclient32.dll from Accessible_output2, is there any other official download or repo for it?

Not to mention the mobile site is not a full solution, as it is wy out of date compared to the main site, lacks things like making calls and such. And don't even get me started on how they severely limit the api access of developers. The tw blue developer said he could've made a facebook client, but they wouldn't let him. Twitter, on the other hand, not only is very good with third party devs, but acknowledges that things like Chicken Nugget, and a few web-based accessible twitter clients, do exists, and lists them right there in some accessibility articles.

Hannes, you need to install Microsoft's DirectX, and the .net framework 3.5 or above. Also, make sure you delete the bpcprograms directory from your appdata folder if you have an older version of tdv installed.

For the person waiting for turns to refresh, you can use your awake charges to cut your sleep time. Use them while you're asleep, or you won't benefit. I have a hundred and so turns due to a few speed charges, but if I don't find anything interesting to do I'll put my character to sleep. I equate the speed charges to a medieval energy spell or something. I just made it to level 1 today. And sure, Carrrick, I'll read your story. My character's Juliette, you might have been able to guess, Juliette the princess. There's no way to update your character thread outside of the game, but you can ask for a solo thread in your introduction and one of the admins will do it for you. I plan to do that, I love writing!

My bad for not putting the read me in the pack. I got it from my working btsync folder and gave him the pack directly. Wait a moment...someone still got ca.lua invalid path? If you put it in the right place it seriously shouldn't do that.I'm posting the installation steps here then, and will add to the next update.Download the pack.Have mush-z or mushclient in your computer (in this case, mush-z). If you don't have mush-z installed, download plugins folder provided by firefly at post 4.Go to your worlds folder, extract the archive to a folder called ca. Make sure you don't have another ca folder inside it, just sounds. So simply put, all data in your ca folder should be in ca folder itself and not ca\ca.Load up ca.mcl and enjoy.I'll add plugins to the next update. Note though that this pack is not worked on by only me. We'll see to that. Thank you.

I can't, make all the songs in Manamon. That would take a long time, and a lot of playing as well as dropbox space. I don't have the time to play through the whole game in a weekend, plus I have to work double for my father this weekend. So the Master Stadium battle, Irodium, anything else necessary? I would like a list of songs so I can record them in the right time so I have no extra sounds. If it's just the battle BGM, stadium battles will be easy, I have 3 stadiums I haven't done yet, so will the master stadium battle and Irodium. The tamer battles, I'll have to restart so I can do them again. And the admin bosses, that will have to wait for some time because I believe the first one you find, is all the way in the volcano. The fights with Octoross and Yavon, those won't be up this weekend. Working double means 8 hours, plus cooking for the whole family, plus school work, plus personal things and church. That takes a lot of time away from Manamon, 
 and I'm not, gunna play Manamon or other games until all the necessary things are done. I know the Master Stadium, regular stadiums, and the normal battles and tamer battles will be done, maybe Irodium. I would like that song list whenever necessary so I can start recording as soon as possible.

Copy all the stuff from the extracted ca.zip to this ca-folder you created. Extract the plugins.7z and copy all the files to your plugin-folder. Hi guys and girls!I am very honnored to present the newest soundpack-project for a mud called Cyber assault. It is a non-RPG-Mud so you dont have to take care about what to say, how to act and how to behave for your Character in case of roleplay cause as i said, there is no roleplay at all.The pack was developed by the awesome Mata! Maybe some of you know her great work allready cause of the pack for clok. She and some others are still working on this pack for Cyber assault so please treat this as an early beta. She was so kind and gave it to me some days ago. I tested it and she agreed to my question about releasing it here in the forum.It is a pack for Mushclient and the installing is gorgeous simple. Just unpack the ca.zip into a new folder called ca in your worlds-folder and start the ca.mcl in your client. And thats it.By now, a lot of the socials in the MUD have sounds and the funny fighting-part too.So, get the pack and have fun! Here comes the

The only time I needed sighted help was during those two puzzles. You need to place a statue near a projector so it displays an image. And I believe there are only two of those, both of them are easily doable without sighted help now. So far I am following a great guide on gamefaqs.com which I edited with my own personal notes explaining all the puzzles. I could definitely include all the menus in it no problem! Once I get the okay from the creator of the guide I will upload the version including my notes on the first post.

Joseph,A week ago I tried to order the Adventurer level of support, and all seemed to be working until I had to sign up with KickStarter.I put in a user name email and password but the software said I didn't put in  a correct password.I clicked on forgot my password thinking I would get the correct password to my email account, but it didn't happen.I don't know if KickStarter sends a confirmation email after correctly finishing  a support level.Does Out of Sight Games have their own credit card checkout system for after the KickStarter is over?

@Afrim yes it is the fault of the facebook accessibility team if their site works with jaws only or jaws and voice over, their posts do not even acknowledge that NVDA is a thing. I dont' want to get into a jaws vs other screnen readers argument though because I'll just go ape shit crazy, and I don't think anyone here wants that. My position on accessibility though is that all possible solutions should be investigated and or implemented or at least acknowledged. I use NVDA every day and have done since 2009, before that I was a Jaws user, and never again will go to jaws for any reason, but Jaws is an accessibility solution, and so should be acknowledged, which they are. But, what about Windoweyes, System access, and others.Moving through the edit boxes no longer works for finding what's on your mind. At least, not for me, using NVDA with FF. It just jumps from search right into comments on the first story.

ah I didn't see many details, the sounds were below average, the planes looked old and weatherbeaten, textures not good, etc. Hey, but I don't want to take the wind out of your sails, if this is something you are passionate about, then by all means, go full tilt. It's good features are its available on windows linux and I think OSX, its free, I think also I got it running from APT so I didn't have to download a tar.gz and extract and install or build it from a tarball, or git clone, etc. I remember doing this and there were a few hickups but I got it sorted. Hmm what else, well it is a full on flight sim, and I think it does work with professional er... flight gear, lol. like radio sacks and stuff like that, hardware.

Is it just me, or does this thread scream "Come check out my spam MUD!"? Seriously, part of me can't wait to see it end up on TMC if for no other reason than the usual sort who hang out there will kick it in the face and take its lunch money.

@Orin no, and I have some sight enough to fly around, not enough to get from point A to B, to look at instruments, I need to pause the sim, zoom in, etc, or have NVDA read me the tooltips as I hover the mouse over the dial. As it stands I don't have $60 or $70 to shell out for IYP though I would love to try it, perhaps next month, this month I have to pay $100 to get my cat spayed, and e was at the vet for shots last month which I paid for. I have flown yes, but most I can really do is to start up, take off and fly around, I can land if I get the runway in sight but I am not good at spotting it, so yeah I think this addon will let me fly correctly and all that. I am watching your vids on youtube.I took the A2A cherokee, one of my favorite planes up and I love messing around, doing aerobatic maneuvers with it that its not meant to do, love stalling it, spinning it, slipping it and lying inverted. Since A2A sim everything and even engine behavior, also the same company t
 hat makes Acu-feel, yeah oil pressure drops, fuel pressure drops, engine starts sputtering and stuff, its awesome. But I do want to make flights from point A to B, so looking forward to when I can purchase this addon.

Hi everybody and happy 2017! I realize I've not been here much as of late, but my schedule has gotten pretty full. A busy work life combined with chatty neighbors, plus some other stuff. But I'm still here, which is a good thing. So I think I'll mainly talk about my experience thus far on the Macintosh platform. As many of you know, I got my first Mac computer as a Christmas present in 2013 from my parents. It is a MacBook Air, and thus far I've been very happy with it. I don't consider myself much of a power user on here yet, but I have learned how to do a lot of things. I think Apple has done an excellent job with VoiceOver, and it's great that all these access features are built right into the operating system. I also have the latest build of Chromevox Classic on here, and really like it. I haven't yet checked out the beta version of Chromevox Next, but it sounds good. Actually I did for a few minutes, but I couldn't figure anything out. 
 Perhaps support for that beta on the Mac platform is still forthcoming.

I find facebook perfectly accessible with NVDA on Firefox. Haven't had the problems you've described... but then again, I also use my phone for things and once you get that you will have to worry much less about it. But the main site does work.

But first, to answer the question about the item pack - no, I can't give much more info, simply because the items haven't all been designed yet. All I can say is that they will be unique items, not able to be obtained in any other way. Some may give units a specific edge in combat, or may have an effect or combination of effects not seen elsewhere. Some may just be fun - there will be some pop culture references, for example.So here's some miscellaneous update information:1. What are some things we're looking into that we might spend extra money on?* Music - we're dialoguing with several composers, and have had a few provide demos of their interpretation of the main theme of the game, and some of the results have been jaw-dropping. If we can make it work, we could see an incredible level of improvement in the game score, as well as possi
 bly significantly more music, which is always a plus.* Added "over world" graphics - As of our second stretch goal, our over world graphics will include custom terrain textures, and custom UI backgrounds for menus, etc. However, everything else in the over world is going to be pretty abstract - units, containers, etc. The more money we have to allocate to overworked graphics, the more we can bring these things out of the abstract and into the concrete - making chests look like chests, shelves look like shelves, and so on.* Unit avatars - Another graphics option we're investigating would be portraits of units you're talking to, or fighting. A nice visual feature for the sighted community to bring this game much closer to the mainstream level, visually.* Commercial sound libraries - We're also looking into the possibility of improving the engine's ability to create high-quality, compelling soundscapes through features offered by some com
 mercial sound libraries. Right now we're just figuring out whether the improvements will be significant enough to warrant the cost - but you can rest assured that either way, we're committed to giving you an auditory experience that is as immersive as possible.2. So why haven't we set specific goals? Because all of these goals are fluid. How much will the over world graphics cost? Depends on how far we go. How much will the music revamp cost? Depends on what composer we choose, and how much (if any) new music we add. So what we're going to have to do is wait until we have our final budget, and then move things around to figure out how we can get the most bang for our buck. And that will depend on how much we have to spend in the first place. What we can tell you now is that every dollar you donate, or get someone else to donate, will be spent in whatever way has the most significant overall impact on the game - and the more we raise, the more likely we are

Well, we've received over 80 auditions and are gathering callbacks right now, and for the record, we are stoked about some of the talent that's auditioned. The voice acting for this game is going to be awesome, no doubt about it. We're also seeing some really exciting steps forward in the graphics of the game. It's still nothing very exciting to look at right now, but we're making fundamental improvements that are bringing us leaps closer to making this a true crossover visual/nonvisual game. We also have gamepad support about 90% up and running, other than a few more advanced features that take a little extra time. So that's exciting, for those who prefer the gamepad experience to a keyboard.So there you have it. We have just over two days left - let's make the last two as exciting as the first two!

also, in real flights, we have stall conditions, when you want to fall overor airplane bank to left or right, which must be controledalso crosswinds change the speed, and they eaven change airplanes headingi'm saying again, airplanes speed is based on nots, not kilometersa not is 1.85 kilometerand, i will tell you how to start boeing 777-200 which is exist on eurofly:1. turn your both left and right landing lights on2. turn battery master on3. turn on APU4. turn on generator5. set your wings6. turn beacon lights on7. turn your pumps on8. turn your engine 1 on8. do this with engines 2, 3, and 49. turn your APU and generator off because your engines will charge your batterythere is a lot to do, but i wish dev do this, because this game can become better and betteralthough as DracoSelene89 said, these are ideas, and it requires a lot work to do

A guy on Youtube, ViSimmer, uses a flightstick to take off with IYP. So yes, it is possible. Landing though, may want to have IYP handle that.
