So, I got the 10 hour trial of madden 18 and it seems I can only play longshot mode. Also, the guide to enable settings does not work. when I go all the way to the right and hit A and then go down twice and hit A it brings me back to where I can go through the different tabs. The game over here costs 100 dollars australian, and even with EA Access, I can't justify paying 90 dollars for a game that I know nothing about. I would like to try the accessibility features and stuff, but only being able to play longshot mode, is very sad. I have tested this. also, the setup was far different to the guide. I did not get told to chose my team or anything, just the difficulty. and it seemed to pick that automatically as I found myself in the main menu and could replay that video about chosing difficulty. If it helps, I also had maddon 17 on here as well.

If memory serves correct, the camera is at hight 15 and the left edge  that you can hook up is at hight 20. The camera can't detect you while you're at 20. Wait until it faces right, then rush to near it. Wait it rotates back, and once it started to make the rotating noise, run past it and you're good to go.

The biggest problem with JAWS is that it always has some compatibility issues with new versions of software, and FS needs ages to fix that. That was ten years ago when Vista came out, that is happening again now with Firefox. Microsoft Edge wasn't supported by JAWS until recently, NVDA already supported it months and months before. This is ridiculous for a screen reader that costs a lot of money to not support something that is already supported by it's free alternative. Regarding stability, I even won't talk about JAWS's unstable Sapi 5 driver and how it crashes some tts synths that will never crash with NVDA. Don't even try to say "You know, that never happened to me". If it didn't to you, it happened to me, and that was enough for me to move away from JFW, because NVDA's SAPI5 driver at least never crashed on me or created a stupid buzzing sound like JAWS's did.The problem is, they didn't work hard enough to fix bugs and support a new software on time, the only important thing is that they take money from people for nothing in return. That's why I've switched to NVDA, because it's at least free, so therefore it's not a problem if it fails somewhere, or if it doesn't support new software on time, although it usually supports new versions of Windows and some other software even before it's released, which is more than nice for a free screen reader. If I'm paying thousand dollars for a screen reader, it needs to be perfect, not good, I said perfect. And JAWS will probably be perfect for 50 years, because in my opinion the last realy stable version of JAWS was 7.0, nothing after that, and I've used it actively until version 13, although I've used 14 and 15 sometimes as well.And regarding Internet Explorer, well guys I wish you a good luck with browser that is no longer supported by Microsoft, and that will sooner or later have security problems, because they've already replaced IE with Edge.

The MK9 menu sonification is based on numbers though so should work fine.

@Lirin - Unfortunately it's not that simple. While we can compare a value to a string such as some text related to a menu, we also need to know where in memory we should look for that string, which is where pointer chains come into it. I've uploaded a demonstration video of the software, and 3 separate videos on finding and using pointer chains to YouTube which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/user/r3dux/videos.SkullGirls uses the tolk screen reader abstraction library exactly like SoniFight does - but the skullgirls developers have the skullgirls source code which makes it easy for them to provide audio prompts - we're coming at this from the opposite direction where we don't have the source code, so we have to do a little bit more work.

know the characters. I don't and always play with seth, but that's not how to do it. With mortal kombat I can play any character, but with street fighter I just haven't spent enough time playing to learn. Where headphones if you can, that way you'll know the positions of the characters in stereo. The best way to learn the sound of the character your playing with is with headphones, to spam a punch button or something to hear what it sounds like and learn the difference between hitting and being hit. Also not sure what platform your playing on, but for me on xbox, I do believe there's vibration when you get hit, could be mixing that up with mk and injustice though as they both do that. Yeah actually I don't think street fighter does it. Just learn the sounds, that's really all I can tell you. There isn't an accessibility mode for super street fighter 4 arcade addition, at least not one i'm aware of.

Street Fighter Accessibility?

I've been getting into fighting games recently, mainly Injustice 2, after I was told that it was playable with no sight.   I've really enjoyed the game, and found that, while I'ts not perfect, I can usually play against most sighted players no problem.  The only issue that i have really come across is a lack of competition, as my internet is nowhere near good enough for online play, and the majority of gamers in my area are into street fighter and a few other more obscure titles like guilty gear.  I would gladly join them in the other games, however, injustice and mortal kombat (the NRS games) are the only ones that I've found to be playable.  Apparently the street fighter games are also somewhat accessible, but try as I might, I can't get them to work for me.  Whenever I have tried to play them (mainly street fighter five), I have no idea what's going on, as the sounds don't seem nearly as clear as the NRS games.  If anyone here has tips/tricks for the street fighter games, I would greatly appreciate your responses.I appoligise if a similar topic has already been posted.  If so, please post a link, and I will gladly check it out.Sincerely,Ultradude306

@sanslash332 - Yeah, C# actually turned out to be a decent language to work in. I initially started writing the software in Java with the hope it could run cross-platform (i.e. Linux/Mac also), but it turned out to be a bit of a headache to interrogate other processes, while in C# it wasn't so bad.I think there's just a single call to a native method via the kernel32.dll, which is the one to read process memory, but apart from that everything (including the the pointer arithmetic, which isn't that bad to be honest) is done in C#. What's also great about C# (for a strongly typed language) is that is has a dynamic data type which allows you to basically say: this is a value, I don't know what type it is until I read it, when I do read it use relection to go figure out what type it is so I can work with it.Cheers!

hahhahaa, I wrote you a while back using forum e-mail but did not think it would get through, especially since I was talking about translating the game into more languages ETC. but anyway thanks... its an interesting story nevertheless and yes I finally was able to kill it myself and leveled up like 300 levels or so from where I was. The dropping of empty cans is a nice strategy... if you time it right, you could drink something like royal jelly, then step back, and so on and so on. And yes there will be attacks even during the appearances of the litographs that you move into place. The thing is that for a total newbie like me everything happens too fast.. and I really did not know that shadow mode continued active even when I switched to other weapons! game center is still usable using jgt though

Hi there.Well, v1.0 is available and there are some teething problems, which is to be expected on the first release of any piece of software - but if you'll bear with me I'm sure it's nothing we can't thrash out with a little thought and experimentation. @atland and gamedude - Sorry it's not doing much for street fighter 4, I have a feeling it might be due to unicode string comparison issues - is your game displaying menus and such in a language that isn't English?To start diagnosing this, could you run the PointerChainTester_x86.exe in the bin/x86 folder, then launch street fighter in a window, then give the chain tester the process SSFIV to connect to, give it a pointer chain of 132FDC, 180 and a data type of String (UTF-16) and then move up and down on the SF4 main menu looking to see what the output in the chain tester "Value" field is.If the chain tester value says NOT CONNECTED TO PROCESS there's the initial problem. However, when the emulator version changes it might change the memory layout and hence break the configs, which is why I'll be working on a 'seamless' way of doing it that locates the start of the emulated system memory and offsets from there in the future.I'm sorry if you feel led on / let down, nothing would make me happier than to have a really clean solution to help provide sonification to any and everything - but unfortunately it's a difficult problem that we have to attack in a 'black box' manner (that is, without knowing how the internals of any game work). And the only way to do that is little by little.

SO you do realize one can also block the dark shell attack with a empty soda can, right?  For situations where one is either wanting to find a replacement shield if the magic piece gets picked up or needs to grab the pieces to build the other weapon.    I also managed once to climb really fast out of the way of a shell.  Dont recommend the method though, too risky.    Also fun fact, one is safe standing on top of the magic piece when swinging the magic edge/miracle edge to do the explosion on the magic ball.  You take damage if you are in range of the explosion, but not out of the range or on top of it.

funny thing is, there was a game like this in Japanese arcades. but since it never left japan, and there's a 0%chance of the rom getting dumped (and hence no chance of it being in mame), noone in the US got to play that. the only reason I know it exists was Planet Dolin's list of the top 11 wierdest arcade games.

Awesome, I really enjoied reading your story. It motivates me to continue translating the game center. I've done 2 out of 6 minigames so far, but the bread crusher is a little bit tough.The magical ball is extremely, unbelievably, cheat-ishly useful in fact because it can start the shadow mode for you and the effect doesn't end even if you switch to other weapons! Have fun breaking the most basic rule of the game world by just adding a tiny keystroke with the usual R key.

Firefox and bookmarks.

Hello.I am having trouble deleting my Firefox bookmarks.If I press alt b, then arrow to a book mark I want to delete and press the applications key on it, it doesn't bring up the menu. But if I control n to bring up a new Firefox page, it might work, then again it might not.I've tried deleting the places.sqlite file in my profile as the firefox help says but this  didn't work for long.I will be able to delete my bookmarks sometimes but today for example I couldn't delete them. I had to open a new firefox page, then press alt b, then the menu came up for a couple of bookmarks but after about a minute or two, it didn't work.I'd like to keep using Firefox as it's what I know but i've read that in earlier versions of Firefox this happened to others. So why has this not been fixed?Has anyone else experienced this?/edit/I've realised that after uninstalling Firefox and deleting all the folders along with the program that installing the program again and then copying the old firefox data from the folder that is on my desktop restored all my bookmarks and pressing alt b then arrowing to a bookmark and pressing the applications key on it does nothing.So, something is wrong with my firefox profile.I'm going to try deleting the profile and making a new one./edit//edit 2/It didn't make a difference. I copppied the bookmarks folder into my new profile and still have the same issue.If i press control n, i am able to delete bookmarks./edit/

I'm interested to learn more about this. I know about Uber Eats, but that's more for restaurants. I figure if I'm going to get food from a restaurant and I'm on my own, I might as well use Uber Eats and save money. There's also Amazon Fresh, but that one isn't available in my area. Amazon also has something called Prime Now, but I haven't had that much experience with it. How would I go about having groceries from places like Kroger and WalMart delivered? Should I just call them or do they offer accessible smart phone apps and/or websites? It seems a waste of money and time to take an Uber to the store, have someone walk around with me and give me the items I want, and then wait for another Uber to arrive and take me home or where ever.

I'm interested to learn more about this. I know about Uber Eats, but that's more for restaurants. I figure if I'm going to get food from a restaurant and I'm on my own, I might as well use Uber Eats and save money. There's also Amazon Fresh, but that one isn't available in my area. Amazon also has something called Prime Now, but I haven't had that much experience with it. How would I go about having groceries from places like Krogers and Wal-Mart delivered? Should I just call them or do they offer accessible smart phone apps and/or websites? It seems a waste of money and time to take an Uber to the store, have someone walk around with me and give me the items I want, and then wait for another Uber to arrive and take me home or where ever.

So, basically it plays like your average final fantasy game, with turn based combat. But it's a little more complicated as it's not simply take your turn then the enemy takes theirs, it's based on what's called an active timed battle (ATB for short), When your atb bar fills, you take your turn, and then it starts filling again. Statts like dex I believe increase the speed at which your bar fills up.The basic layout of the battle screen actually hasn't changed much since I last explained it. Their are only 2 differences. The first difference is a button up above your defend or attack, can't remember, that will use your roaming warrior. The other is the soulbreaks menu operates different if you have multiple soulbreaks at your disposal, so when you tap on the icon on the far bottom right hand side of your screen, if you have more then 1 soulbreak it will list them from right to left. So, when setting up your soulbreaks, the one you want to be in the far right slot you would want to be first on your list in the party equip screen. Then so on. You are allowed I believe 4 soulbreaks at a time.The third new thing is burst soulbreaks. Basically what they do is usually a decent amount of damage and/or a healing burst that may also do other things. After the use of that soulbreak it will grant haste and burst mode to the user of that soulbreak. After this you will be in burst mode, and your attack and defend buttons are replaced by 2 burst abilitys. Burst mode is a temperary buff though so it's usually a good idea to take full advantage of your burst abilitys when you get them.@orin I can't help you without knowing the screen your looking at, you can still equip and unequip items, but it is a bit more difficult. My advice would be to maybe try to find someone sighted and just have them help you with that portion, or maybe if some other person who maybe did figure out the tutorial could post that would be cool.

In the UK I've been ordering online groceries for over 10 years. I use Sainsbury's because they've always been the best. The delivery guys all know me now and explain any substitutions, and sign for me. I always give them a tip at Christmas . On the whole the produce is of good quality, and very rarely is anything missing, and when it is, customer services will always refund or have the stuff redelivered. I wouldn't be without online groceries now. I'm really glad I lost my sight in the internet era. It makes life so much easier.

Firefox and bookmarks.

Hello.I am having trouble deleting my Firefox bookmarks.If I press alt b, then arrow to a book mark I want to delete and press the applications key on it, it doesn't bring up the menu. But if I control n to bring up a new Firefox page, it might work, then again it might not.I've tried deleting the places.sqlite file in my profile as the firefox help says but this  didn't work for long.I will be able to delete my bookmarks sometimes but today for example I couldn't delete them. I had to open a new firefox page, then press alt b, then the menu came up for a couple of bookmarks but after about a minute or two, it didn't work.I'd like to keep using Firefox as it's what I know but i've read that in earlier versions of Firefox this happened to others. So why has this not been fixed?Has anyone else experienced this?/edit/I've realised that after uninstalling Firefox and deleting all the folders along with the program that installing the program again and then copying the old firefox data from the folder that is on my desktop restored all my bookmarks and pressing alt b then arrowing to a bookmark and pressing the applications key on it does nothing.So, something is wrong with my firefox profile.I'm going to try deleting the profile and making a new one./edit/

@28: I dislike setting release dates because I feel pressure to keep them, even if things aren't ready. I'd rather tinker with the internals, add more things and release when I'm ready than cram in untested stuff to meet a deadline. I'll put this out there now though: being a beta member will have perks (seeing what's going to be publicly released soon), but it will also have some downsides. I like those, but after a while they get boring. I want to make a game that sucks you in; one that you start playing at 3 in the afternoon and stop at 2 in the morning because you have something to do the next day, rinse, repeat.If someone gives me a good enough reason, I might strip down sv's code (the name of the game is strategy and senseless violence or sasv / sv for short, since it looks like I didn't mention that in my last post) after it's released and just leaving in the combat and basic chat systems for you guys to play around with. With the account system, skills, achievements, structures, channels, and resources left out it's pretty much rtr.Rtr already exists and is a great game, so unless someone has a convincing reason for me to do all the work it's probably not happening.

the pc98's midi driver was part of a special version of windows95. unfortunately little is known about it since it came out very late in the system's life. by the time it came out japanese computer manufacturers finally defected to ms-dos.

The first interesting thing that I saw when I entered to your github, Is know that this great software is writhed on c#.Really, I don't think that you can make that great memory annalist tool in a managed language like c#. If you use all of the unmanaged tools like int Pointers and something similar, mixin it with managed code, you are really awesome. @sorressean, the only reason I recommended two JDKs is because you can't get 64-bit JDK accessibility without having both the 32-bit and 64-bit JDKs installed and both jabswitch's enabled. It can get messy -- I'll agree with you on that one. And I've encountered a bug in one of the JDK installers that causes NVDA to freeze during the Java installation. But other than that, two JDKs works fine for me at least.

I was reading an article online, and there's speculation that system restore was disabled to save space on low cost/low storage devices like tablets that only have 32 GB of storage. Maybe they also did it because you can now essentially reset Windows without erasing all your files. I don't trust it and will continue to keep an install disk around.

That may be the easiest way if Swift will fit my preference. How do you usually edit the program? Do you use an accessible text editor on Mac? I thought Emacs on Mac wasn't accessible at all and textEdit didn't seem to be appropriate for coding when I tried at University.

Having some wrist issues, so I'll keep this shorter and to the point.Assuming you are in the US, you could have a few options.Walmart Grocery - App not so great, website is okay with a good computer. You have to sign their electronic iPad when they arrive. Good about refunding damanged items, though they did give me soggy strawberries one time. Not the best quality of produce at all. They won't accept tips. Usually need to order at least 24 hours in advance.Local grocer - Some super markets do their own grocery delivery. I love ours here. I don't have to sign the thing, and I get better produce. They don't accept tips. Have to order in advance.InstaCart - Whole Foods is an option on there, but they mark their prices up or down from in-store prices for some reason I don't understand. I find them to be more expensive than going directly through my local grocery store. You can tip online. Can have your food within 2 hours.Schwans - Delivers frozen food, a lot of pre-prepared items you just heat up. Not an option to get fresh produce here so far as I know. Haven't used in a few years, (since college.) Have to order in advance.InstaCart really allows you to manage your experience and chat with your shopper in realtime. Your phone will ping if your shopper subs an item, and you can chat to them about it. With Walmart and local grocery shopping, you are at the mercy of whatever they decide to substitute for you. It can be really annoying if they have to drop an item all together.I love online shopping. Overall great experience. Feel free to ask me more specific questions. I order delivery every week.

Sorry to double post, but I am also having the same problem outlined in post 23. I have checked the version and product numbers and they match the numbers presented in post 24. I also made sure that I was actually on the main menu instead of the dialogue on first run that asks you if it should create a new save. I also made sure that both the game and SoniFight were run as administrator.

Couple things here. First of all do you realize how difficult it was to make this? Emulator support will be added eventually, but this is just a first release. I for one really do appreciate it and hope that r3dux doesn't see this and think people are that ungreatful. Secondly do you realize how much is actually needed to emulate a ps3/ps4 game? You say this is just for people who can afford the great pcs/games, but how do you expect to emulate ps3/ps4 without "the latest and greatest pc games?"

The newbie flag is probably gonna be removed. While problems such as you described have been made harder to happen, the system is by no means flawless, for example newbies can send projectiles and probably other bombs, as well as setting up baricades, just to name a couple from the top of my head.Can you give me a specific scenario of the admins taking action with no prior warning in a fight? Other than 6 months ago that is. If so, the situation needs to be strongly looked into. Banning players from your game is forcefully telling them they can't play, and a very serious defense.Sandbags now show the player who put them there in the item tracking menu. While I'm still under the personal opinion players should simply be disallowed to place them in certain locations, Sam has stated multiple times how he wishes to know the person. Because of this, I've given a couple warnings, and my policy is one warning. Do it again you get kicked, again ban hammer. As a temporary solution, let one of us know and we'll take care of it.Also, another topic of this nature was created today, so can we stick to one?

I have another suggestion for the athmosphere. If the sounds work like they should, there are even more possibilities to make this clear, but it should be there as text as well. In violent and cruel dark regions where are a lot of purely bad races and creatures, maybe there can be some scenes if you explore the areas. Some bloody and gory scenes or in more mysterious areas, some scary or sometimes shocking things could happen. Such scenes could happen inside or outside of buildings. I think that could make some dark or dangerous and evil areas more athmospheric, so that you feel that some of those life forms in there are more evil than normal people or races in the main war conflict.

Well, sadly for me, I ws looking quite forward to this after reading both threads, but it's sad to see that in that large amount of time you weren't able to add emulator support.This program will be great for people who  have large amounts of cash to by all the latest and greatest pc games but i was really hoping for something to make ps3 or ps4 games accessible. aka "sony fight"

oh boy... more drama! more amusement.This is personally why I enjoyed RTR or audioquake much more than I ever did redspot... they didn't try to pretend to be more than they were, which was quick, equal competition PVP, with resets helping to make sure nobody got completely overpowered, or if they did not for long.

Atlan, what version is the street fighter 4 executable you're running? The precise version number is in the config name. You can right-click on the street fighter 4 exe and check from Properties then Details.The version this targets is the most recent Steam version.When I look at the SSFIV.exe properties and go to the Details tab it says:File verion: 2.0.0.28372Product version: 2.0.0.93908As far as I know this is the most recent version of SF4 - and I can't roll back.Does the titlebar of the SoniFight window change to say that the config is running?

Lol This game is so wonderfully pointless and wonderfully nuts! I hope we see more objects to dispose of soon and that people will make new ones available. It'd be nice to be able to check your level and experience, or at least if there is a way to do this without opening the skills menu I haven't noticed thus far. As well as more objects it might be fun to put in a few more skills. One that occurs to me is changing the penetration of thrown debris so that it goes through more objects at a time or letting you chuck further. It might also be fun having a run button and charge so that you can barge your way through objects like a domino rally . Lastly, some power ups might be amusing, eg, destructive bombs that increase amount of debris, rubber flaws that make  bounce further, or maybe a weapon or two to aid you in your destruction. for a really pointless game this one is surprisingly fun .
