Re: unity game engine not accessible with screen reader?

I recall that some people in [this] thread managed to get something working with Unity outside the IDE environment. Its also possible to purchase 3D models for use such as off the unity store or elsewhere, but accessible 3D modelling software is still a work in progress. At the moment you could use OpenSCAD to script a 3D model, then export it as an STL file and view it with the AudiMesh3D tool I developed, although there is no animating or texturing available so that would have to be done programatically. Conversely, you could take a 2D approach like earlier 3D games such as Doom and use sprites instead using an available paint tool such as BrushTone, TactileView, or SVGDraw01.Other than that as others have already mentioned there currently isn't much available without picking up a code book.

Well decided to buy the pack, mainly because while I got half my download links for stuff I allready had, the rest never arrived.Well all works, but griff2 and the monkey game do not start, the programs do not respond and they crash.Griff1 also does this from time to time.I still have the old games and they do not crash on startup.I really do hope these issues can be fixed though. I want to give the pack to one of my friends for christmas and I can't do that if one game doesn't work.Everything else works fine with aeric and kurtwolf not crashing at all.I use win7 64 bit but then the games all worked fine before.Griff1 crashes sometimes but does start.

Re: Windows Screen Reader Usage data

I was intimidated by the different review modes for a long time before switching to NVDA as my primary screen reader, too. I heard a very good podcast on Cool Blind Tech which for some reason really cemented the concepts in my head, which is impressive, because usually I'm a horrible auditory learner. Then again, the same thing happened when I first began playing Swamp. I heard a great demonstration of how to walk and turn and so on, and I just had an aha moment, but that's beside the point. There's documentation, podcasts, an active email list, and more official tutorials, so it seems like there's something for everyone who wants to learn about NVDA. To be fair, there is also a comprehensive amount of training material for JAWS, too, but I'll never support the fact that it's included within the screen reader itself. That, to me, is a lot of unnecessary bloat. A help file is one thing, but forcing users to install full audio tutorials with their screen reader is overkill. As for donations, as long as there are happy users who otherwise wouldn't have had access to a screen reader, the donations will keep coming. Enough said. Also, there's more than one way to support the project. If you're serious about learning how to use NVDA, there are Ebooks you can purchase. You can also become certified, as I've done. That money goes to NV Access as well, and is just as valid of an investment as traditional donations.

Yeah, you really aren't going to be getting very far without programming knowledge with this. Everything does have to be done programatically. That being said, there are a few options depending on what language you want to work with. I hope to one day rectify the whole lack of accessible engine thing. It's on the research todo list, but first I need to get the hang of most of the accessibility library stuff as is.

Re: Release Date Announcement for A Hero's Call

Yeah, Shadow Rine would definitely be more in the nature of an Action/RPG since the combat is realtime rather than turn-based. In a way it rather reminds me of Zelda II on account of the experience-based leveling. Of course in Zelda II you had to level up each of your three stats separately which could get quite tedious. Then of course you also learned spells which you don't really do in SR, unless you perhaps counted the extra abilities of your other party members as spells, even though they weren't spells in any traditional sense. But Joseph is right in that AHC is most likely the first really story-driven RPG, both in audio and with fully voiced characters. Paladin of the Sky of course features some voice acting but only when casting spells and not for any of the dialogue.

Thanks Nidza, but I've been using NVDA for 4 years now, I'm talking about newbies. At least a couple of those review modes got merged a while back, so that reduces the learning curve a bit.I think mostly it's just being confronted with all this similar sounding stuff when reading the documentation, it starts to get muddled in your head, and their aren't really any real world examples of when to use each mode given.Especially when coming straight from Jaws, and having these drastically different commands and ways of navigation, it can really throw people off if they haven't used something like voice over, which is a bit more similar. It's experience and being prompted to do stuff I didn't know how to do by other people that eventually let me memorize it.

Days of Dragons, Screen Readr Friendly Mud With Soundpack

Connection Info:Site: the3beers.comPort: 4040This is a medieval-themed mud which appears to have gone to great lengths to make itself screen reader friendly. Here is a page detailing what they've done, and the commands you can use inside the Mud.http://the3beers.com/~jupiter/dod/blind.htmlYou can play such races as celestial, demon, dragon, vampire, pixie, and all the usual ones. Race choice can sometimes lead you to some interesting class choices as well.I haven't played this yet, but I wanted to share since they seem to have made quite an effort to make the game accessible. On the page I linked above, there is a link for a soundpack. Also of note, they have a blind staff member, so I imagine any screen reader issues would be handled well.

Re: Crazy Party: mini-games and card battle! (beta55)

not sure what kind of internet you have but it took me around 20 minutes and I've got some of the fastest you can buy. It is a quarter of a gig after all and I don't imagine Pragma has a super-server, so just give it some time, it'll be worth it.Also, I was thinking after looking at a very early post where people were talking about selecting a character like one would do In the actual MarioParty series. Because of some things in the game, I don't think that would work. But how about this, which I was inspired by that idea. You could sort of get it but also give Pragma more cool unlocks to tease us with. There are some sounds that are used in many games, such as jumping, walking over various kinds of terrain, swimming, climbing, and stuff like that. We could get soundpacks in the rewards room that would swap out those common sounds for others. These would be thematic and would sort of allow you to turn your random adventure player into something else. For example, there could be a  knight set of sounds where the weapon would be definitely a really dramatic sword noise, moving would have some clanking armor, and there would be some underwater clunking sounds while swimming and so forth. There could be a clown that would have wacky cartoon sounds, a fairy with cute magic sounds. A princess/lady with dress-swishing sounds when she walks instead. creepy sounds for some Halloween/vampire/ghost/zombie. Anime sound effects for a samurai/ninja/mecha character, animal sounds for a bestial character and so on. The sounds couldn't be overdone as they might interfere with games but it would be a nice bit of flavor.

just some info about "Six Swords." I thought I'd share with you guys. I first played it about a month and a half ago. I like games that update frequently and I get a little bummed at dead games. I checked their facebook page routinely over the last month and a half without playing and didn't see anything except that there is a "Six Swords Kids." too. When I tried to play it again today, I found that about for every week I had been gone, there was a major content update, so the game is definitely alive and well. I'm having a lot of trouble clearing dungeons. I have it so most of my characters have low-end magic items and most of them are decent in terms of fighting ability (though they are all still level 1) but even the easiest dungeons (measured by cheapest reward for clearing them." are kicking my but. 8 skeletons is a lot and 19 at once against a party of six is... wrong. But I played the game for hours today, so I couldn't have been that annoyed. I plan to try out a few more dungeons soon enough.

Re: The Last Jedi: what do we think?

SPOILERS:Rebels vs Empire retread, bizarre almost fillerish casino sequence, Holdo's acting, and that last scene was just like wh?But i didn't feel like it was a retread of Empire Strikes Back, like, at all. The most it had going for it in that regard was the overarching structure: Rebels pinned down, long drawn-out space pursuit, Narrow escape but the Empire is still the de facto winner. Meanwhile, The Force Awakens was almost exactly the same as A New Hope, but with a new cast and the part of Obi-wan Canobi was played by a smuggler. There were some minor things that only slightly bug me in the context of the larger story: Leia's Desperation Technique (awesome but clearly running on a combination of Rule of Cool and subverting expectations), Force Skype (they made it work, and it is an expansion on things we've seen before, but I still cringed every time one started), and Snoke's apparent death (just because he turned out cool, if a bit generic and shallow, and now we don't get him in the next one). Those are minor, though, and didn't really detract from the experience enough to really matter for me.I do have a slight sound related complaint regarding the final... not really a duel, so the final Solo? Basically, Kylo's crossblade has its own hum in that scene, or at least it seems like it does when he first activates his weapon. And, while this does make sense in context, Luke was pretty silent during that sequence. So I only found out after the fact that it was just Kylo attacking, and Luke dodging (Snoke and Luke in this movie fought the way the Emperor and Yoda should have fought in the prequels, and it was glorious). That was the one fight where I found myself thinking "I can't guess what's going on and I feel like the details are important". And lo, it was so.Oh, and Fasma again. She's one of those characters I would probably have liked if I'd seen it in elementary school, but now I can spot her underdevelopment and numerous strategic failures, and it kinda ruins most of her scenes. I think maybe getting that blaster-resistent armor after the price came down between trilogies might have gotten to her head. (Also, my head canon is now that the blaster-resistent stuff was really expensive before, such that only VIPs like Vader could afford it, and it might even have required reenforcement via the Force, but a few decades passed, the stuff got cheaper to produce, and that's why we see Storm Troopers using melee weapons in a setting where that barely even made sense for Jedi in the first place.)But yeah, I liked this one much better than the last one.

Re: Audio gaming on an iPad?

moast of the Choice of Games things are available. I also do a lot of Godville on there. HeroZero used to be partially accessible but that was ruined a few months ago. Triviacrack sort of works but you'll have to do a lot of extra work to do the major things like cards, though the basic trivia game works fine. The blindfold games also work. I got blindfold racer, but I hate the darn narrator/voice actor in it. I know the game is for all ages, but they could've done better for getting eaten by the troll than the basic voice actor going "mwa mwa mwa your car is taishty." and they have to remind you constantly of the rules, as if missing something was you forgetting the rules rather than making a mistake. That's about all I got for theiPad but choice of Games games, Godville, and some learning thing I do Called Curious are mostly what I do. I actually like the iPad version of the Godville App better than the phone one.

Dark's list of Amazon/alexa audiogames

Dark's list of Amazon/alexa audiogames

Introduction Here is a list of audiogames I have discovered on the Amazon Alexa platform which can be enabled using the "skills" tab. Most are free as are all Alexa skills, though a couple link to services that create accounts and thus have a charge. Additions, thoughts or updates to the list are always welcome, so please use This thread[/ for comments or suggestions Note however that due to Amazon's policy,  this list contains only skills I could access from the United Kingdom version of the Alexa app, since unfortunately not all developers make their skills available in all countries, even when the language is the same (dam them!).to qualify as an audiogame an ap must: 1: Be completely accessible via audio alone such that a blind and sighted player could play equally. Thus quizzes  with the odd visual question in the ap would not count. 2: Be an actual game with a goal and some way for the player to interact  to achieve that goal. Unfortunately many of the skills in the "game's section, though often doing fun things like dispensing random facts about dragons or werewolves are not games a player can interact with. Also note that these short descriptions contain actual reviews, ie, they represent my opinions, both positive and negative. The list will be updated from time to time as I try more skills so check back. This does not however mean that Amazon skills will not get db pages, just that since many are comparatively short games, this is a quick and easy way to keep people informed of what is out there, as well as perhaps alert developers of these skills to the fact that the audiogaming community exists. Now on with the list:Six swordsAn rpg with a lot of exploring. Take control of a group of mercenaries and slay your way around a vast map with turn based combat, towns to visit, dank underground caves, temples to weerd gods  etc. Still getting to grips with this one, which will show you that it is a game which takes some playing. Definitely recommended if you like exploration and turn based D style combat. Beat the introSupposedly a music game where you hear the intros of songs and have to identify, however when we ran it we got a major advertising their version two and couldn't actually play the game itself which was annoying, I suspect there are new puzzles each day, but not getting the old ones and just being told how awesome their next version is is not exactly a way to recommend a game to new players. Also, the game works  on recorded audio from some dj or other and this is one instance where having  Alexa voice the game would've been way less irritating D.Basic adventure The title isn't kidding. A really short Cyoa style game where you rescue a princess. The fact that  I not only completed the game on my first attempt and! that the hole thing took me less than ten minutes likely tells you how much content this has.Battlecry Supposedly a skill where you get to battle people across the net in  random duels. One problem, to battle anyone you need their code. Since there are neither ai opponents, nor any way of searching for another player's code, nor (from what Google can tell me), a registered list of codes or similar there is literally no way to battle anybody! So , is it a good game? I honestly don't know, but my code is blue panther twelve and anyone is free to give me a try and let me know, hay, let me know your code too .Button button Supposedly a cooperative clicker game in which people from all around the world click to press a button multiple times, however it is completely broken  told me it couldn't connect to database everytime I tried it.Bio Acoustics 101 If it weren't midnight I'd go and get my lady to show her this since it's perfect for animal lovers. Try and guess ten animal sounds whichgo from standard to unusual, you can also have the sounds demoed for you before you play to give you a head start. My only two issues are firstly voice recognition is ropy if you choose an animal not in the list, eg, it didn't know the difference between a moose and a goose (which is sort of amusing), and secondly being as the animal sounds come from public domain sites the quality isn't always great, the cobra was barely audible. Still good fun if you like animals.British train empire Thanks to Cyko for recommending this one. A simple economic stratogy game where you build stations and tracks linking cities together, and then run trains to earn prophet. unfortunately, the game only has a few cities, also unfortunately, once you've built one station and connected it to another there is no way of seeing what other cities it might connect to, so unless your geography is far better than mine you do have to guess a little. A relaxing game for stratoggists complete with leaderboard, though I do wish it included a few more stations and a bit more about the trains. There is also an American train empire version, but that one didn't show up in the Uk

Re: unity game engine not accessible with screen reader?

Unfortunately, grumbler_jones is correct. I tried Unity myself. It's a no go. And RPGMaker, for that matter. Which is a shame. There's a couple of physics engines I'd like to try, like GMod, but my hopes aren't high for that, either.Even worse, oftentimes you'll be dependent on using models, and as you can imagine, modelling software to model and manipulate and animate meshes is not accessible either. It's like they didn't even think about us as a market . I suppose in their cases they can be forgiven a little, we're not the typical demographic. But I'd have loved to have got somewhere with it. Somewhere that holds up some hope though is that a lot of Unity stuff can be done in Visual Studio, which is, for the most part accessible. I'm not sure whether the Unity parts themselves though are, or how much it lets you do without the inaccessible Unity IDE. Another option, that isn't an engine, per se, but allows you to programatically describe and draw your meshes on screen, is Three.JS. I had some success with drawing some things on screen with that. It's not a gaming engine itself, maybe someone's built a gaming engine around that?

go towards the pit until you step on gravel, then press space and right arrow together and hold. Yes, sometimes when you fall down a pit you hear a footstep sound which is a bit confusing, but if you hold the buttons while close up you should be okay. if your getting stuck, edge towards the pit slowly since it's quite easy to run off the edge, though you can take pits at a run once your used to how things work. hth. As I said, this one was tough for me too, now however I'm utterly sick to death of Autumn terrice having been through it about six times and want to go somewhere else .

Ticky, you have to hit space press and hold till you hear a jump, then right and you jump.I must say though I do have the klite codec pack but not all sounds played nice, some ambiences were missed,  all the enemies didn't pan, so something is wrong with it I suppose. It also crashes at start sometimes being not responsive. However with all that out the way, for what its worth, I can play through the entire game in about 45 minutes without it crashing and some of the enemies are really tricky to get like the snakes, still compaired to other games, I'll reserve my judgement.

I really don't get it. I installed the oggds and have music in the game and the panning is fine, but I can't do this jump for the life of me. Tikki

I wonder if any ones actually put up a little chart thing like they do for Christmas sometimes? I'm prob going to do an lp of ahc and upload it to youtube, once I figure out how to upload to youtube that is. when the game comes out if sounds have changed a lot, might want to consider redoing your dimmo or trailor or one of the audio videos once the graphics thing has been released so that people can get a feel for how the game looks

@luiscarlosgm, on Paypal you need to press the "back to merchant" button after you've hit pay, then you'll get taken to the folder with the download link. If you exited paypal before payingg, I'm not sure what you should do, this is exactly why I am suggesting Jyro look into some sort of system for delivering the download links via email automatically after purchice.I confess I've got a bit stuck with Grif. I finished autumn terrice and have been told to go to Athena. Okay, however when I start the next stage I seem to see a hole bunch of portals. That is fine, accept the only portal that seems to work is the second one along and that takes me right back to Autumn terice and even though I've completed that stage I can't go back to the portal room without completing it again. This is a bit perplexing. What is even weirder is that I start autumn terice and the announcer says "athena" but it's clearly the same stage, I even get the message from the king when I complete it (methinks these gryphons got their portals crossed somewhere). I know the game is no longer in active development, but even if names for the portals could not be added, perhaps an explanation of the portal room could be written in the manual just to check if this is a major bug or if I am just getting confused here.

@josephI'm not really sure if this fully counts, but AHC would actually be the second voice-acted audio game in the RPG family. Shadow Line did have it's full voice edition, although one could argue that's less of a traditional RPG and more action adventure with RPG elements, or an action RPG as they clasified it on the website.

Re: Happy Holidays and Game Updates!

@tikki, that first pit in Grif confused me too. You need to hold  spacebar and right arrow after you jump. When you get the glide wing you hold for longer, just remember to jump when you hear the gravel and you should be okay. Also, make sure that you have run the OggDS0995.exe found in the Grif folder. Before I did this the game had no background music, and the sound panning was all over the place, which didn't make jumping that pit any easier.@Slj, I don't think it's necessary to go that far with wordpress, twitter facebook etc, lots of notable developers like David greenwood or Ian humphries got on fine without those things.I do think an order processing system would be useful here, or at least a way of emailing file download links to customers when they buy the games, which should not be too difficult given the number of them i've seen kicking around, heck you can probably do something directly via paypal itself.so long as your customers can get your games without fuss or an excessive tech knowledge and you as a developer can be paid for them, that should be fine.As to Grif

Well.I just got my fully update griff1, and yeah in the old version I seemed to be able to jump the pits almost no issue, in this version though, its almost impossible, even if I make it over, I always fall in.I know part of that is meant to be that way but to be honest  I do think there should be a bit more leaway when you jump, if the pit is to the left of centre when you jump and not in the centre then you technically can make it over. While I have my full aeric and griff, griff2 and curtwolf have not serfaced yet, I got the link to buy a game I allready had.Saying that, today is just not a gaming day at all as I have been semi sick all week and today I am going to have to break from headphones. As for the installers.I think jiro used clickteam, the installer runs well enough but not everything has an icon.I actually prefured the binary releases as they were.I was so happy I have still the old versions.Saying that  if I get these, I get these.Edge of winter is interesting but I can't get the bridge to lower and I can't figure out the navigation system as such. But I may try later.

Dark's list of Amazon/alexa audiogames

2017-12-20 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Articles Room : Dark via Audiogames-reflector

The fact that  I not only completed the game on my first attempt and! that the hole thing took me less than ten minutes likely tells you how much content this has.Button button Supposedly a cooperative clicker game in which people from all around the world click to press a button multiple times, however it is completely broken  told me it couldn't connect to database everytime I tried it.British train empire Thanks to Cyko for recommending this one. There is also an American train empire version, but that one didn't show up in the Uk version of Alexa.Categories game A really fun word game of the think of a so and so beginning with letter such and such  the shortest time possible. What is really cool is that the more you play the more  categories you unlock, and being asked to think of a superhero beginning with y is sort of amusing. Speech recognition can sometimes be a bit glitchy, but not so much as to spoil the game.Chance dungeon An entertaining little rpg/adventure game in the traditional of old dos adventures. Wander around what I assume is a procedurally generated map looking for treasure hoping the gods of random encounters are kind to you, while making choices about where to go. To what extent your choices actually have an effect I don't know, still it's rather fun and does have some quite cool combat descriptions, not to mention a fair few encounters and indeed a way to actually win if your lucky. One of  these games which is surprisingly addictive for how simple it is.Chance starship A game from the same dev as chance dungeon (really wish you could show skills by creator in your skills tab or in the categories rather than having to use google search or

It is true that it is rare for a GDC talk to become public. Most that have are around advocacy, so this does have a chance - and my advocacy talk on low vision changes to Madden was made public last year. I have no control this year's talk is chosen or not, though. Asking in advance would probably up the odds of this happening.

Re: Release Date Announcement for A Hero's Call

@RTT Entertainment, to the best of my knowledge AHC may actually be the first full accessible story-driven RPG. Games like Entombed are more of what I'd consider a dungeon-crawler, which I suppose is in the RPG family but is driven more by grinding than by narrative and exploration of a pre-defined world. I also think AHC is probably the first accessible RPG with fully voice-acted characters (but please correct me if I'm wrong). Ultimately, though, we're really just building on the foundation of what's come before and trying to take it to a new level of quality.Regarding your second question, the soundtrack can be purchased on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon mp3, or through CDBaby or Bandcamp. A quick Google search should do the trick but if you need links, let me know. We keep meaning to create a soundtrack page on our website but this keeps falling into the "We can't afford to spend the time on this" category.@Muhammad: This is the sort of question I said I'm going to refrain from answering, since it's something players will be able to find out for themselves.

Anyway, I guess I will find away to rent at the vary least when it comes time to. LOL.

Re: List of Audiogames on Alexa

Thanks Orco we'll have a look at that. She does enjoy trivia games, we often watch the quiz show chase together, or with my dad when we're staying at my parents. I'd love to see a true trivial pursuit style game for Alexa rather the way Trivia crack used to be on Ios before the accessibility went bye bye. she also loves crosswords and has demolished all of the spoonbill ones that aren't cryptic, and is trying to find more  (though sadly there isn't a lot else around unless you want to  fork out 40 quid  a go to Azabat, for eighty crosswords (which is 53 dollars according to Alexa)which  is rather on the steep side. That is one reason I'm checking out word and trivia games as well as my usual interests such as roleplay, but hay then again I'm a relatively omnivorous gamer, the only type of games that I find an active turn off are sports and motor racing, and even those I will at least try out if they're real time (though sports stratogy I find too incomprehensible to really play).Getting back on track however, it now turns out the volley link people who made several of imho the better skills on the list such as world detective, yes sire, jeopardy  and strange halls also make several others that aren't around in the uk including Yes Mr. President (something I would love to try despite not being American), and a song quiz game. Weirdly enough their holiday song quiz is available, but their regular one isn't. Since however I dug their email off the web I've dropped them a line, so we'll see what happens.

Also, the game works  on recorded audio from some dj or other and this is one instance where having  Alexa voice the game would've been way less irritating D.Basic adventure The title isn't kidding. A relaxing game for stratoggists complete with leaderboard, though I do wish it included a few more stations and a bit more about the trains. You know if jiros games were not of such good quality I'd have stopped buying broken promises years ago.But whenever I have got a game its been top notch.Saying this, these are not the only games I wait for, so I let it lie.But yeah, jiro you do need a propper website with a wordpress blog, and hostible cloud service or something to get your files from.I have downloaded the edge of winter testing version and will look at it later today. However while I am not absolutely mad, your games are not, well they are not top of my list. There are better games to ocupy myself. That doesn't mean I won't buy your stuff but you really do need a site, a domain, etc.now in your favor something like wordpress can handle the blog side, news can be on twitter and other platform. You need an email address from your site, and maybe an ftp server or a cloud download service with high traffic which can link directly to your site but thats it really.

Definitely recommended if you like exploration and turn based D style combat.8 pages Recommendation by Psycho. This is similar to the Slenderman lost vision audiogame. Wander around creepy locations looking for pages while being chased by a creature who distorts sounds (I think it's slenderman, though it's not named in the game). On the plus side, speech recognition was flawless in this one and the sounds are damn creepy! On the minus side, the game plays very slowly, some of the commands are just plane odd, eg, @turn around the old truck 2@ to search, and while the sounds are creepy, hearing a long burst of them everytime you move quickly loses their appeal, as do the generic Alexa responses such as @there there@ or @now now@ you get when you do something. There was also little to no description, and to even get directions of what is around you on the map you needed to say help each move. It was also physically impossible to actually die, since if you run into a square with the creature, your asked if you want to go back, and then can take the same direction again with no trouble. The creature also doesn't interupt while your random searching, which unfortunately you do lots and lots and lots! of, indeed after looking for the last page for a solid half hour I actually gave up with this. A potentially nice idea but not a game I would recommend I'm afraid.Beat the introSupposedly a music game where you hear the intros of songs and have to identify, however when we ran it we got a major advertising their version two and couldn't actually play the game itself which was annoying, I suspect there are new puzzles each day, but not getting the old ones and just being told how awesome their next version is is not exactly a way to recommend a game to new players. Re: Clicker/iddle games

Hi All, I too wanted to give this game a try. I wanted to know what the buzz was all about, and I love cookies! Not wanting to be left out due to inaccessibility, I decided to seek sighted assistance. We were able to figure out how to get Cookie Clicker started. I am using JAWS so these instructions will need to be tweaked. The cookie appears to be an unlabeled and unrecognized graphic on the screen, so you can't click on it with conventional means. What I ended up doing was routing the JAWS cursor to the PC cursor, once I was at the line which shows "0 cookies" just near your bakery's name. Then I had to move the mouse pointer down (Alt+Shift+down, I'm using laptop layout), about thirty times, give or take. That will put your mouse pointer in the middle of the cookie so you can activate the Left Mouse Button and start clicking away. I believe the first incentive (the cursor) costs 15 cookies. The next is Grandma, at 100 cookies or so. These unlockable items and everything else that you will do with the game is clearly labeled and accessible. The rows of question marks turn into unlockable achievements as your cookie numbers grow. Once you set up the game by buying these unlockable achievements, you won't need to click on the cookie. I've unlocked a cookie farm and a cookie mine, and you may buy more than one of each item. Once my cookies started coming at a reasonable rate, I found that it's actually more fun to read the news items that come up like, News : "I'm not addicted to cookies. That's just speculation by fans with too much free time", reveals celebrity.I hope this helps, for anyone who is interested in giving this game a try. Mirage wrote:How did you all play Cookie Clicker?I wanted to try it, but I never could find the image of the cookie to click.I saw something that said, "You want to bake cookies, but nobody wants to eat your cookies." I tried clicking that, but nothing happened.

As for the review I'm sure they wouldn't mind. As for the other question I'd say what makes this game unique is the quality that's thus far been displayed. So far no other audio RPG, at least in my view, has featured quite this level of quality. Of course there aren't many audio RPG's so that's probably not surprising.

Re: Release Date Announcement for A Hero's Call

Hi, I have two questions. Firstly, I was wanting to ask what differences this game has as compared to other available RPG’s? What is unique about this game? What makes it stand out from the other RPG’s? I was also wondering if you wouldnt mind if I reviewed this game when it comes out, and was wondering where I can get individual songs from the soundtrack as I am wanting to add them to my review (using audacity, an audio programme). All your help answering these questions would be much appreciated, thank you

Re: Happy Holidays and Game Updates!

Well I can say having bought the games, that Breakerbox payment system works out fine and the links to download the games  were readily available with no waiting. My only suggestion is that Breakerbox could have payment links and information be linked a little more to their website rather than relying on customers to do the heavy lifting directly, since not everyone is  as knowledgeable  internet matters. If I hadn't pressed the "return to merchant" button after completing the paypal payment, i likely would not have got to the page containing the links, though of course it is entirely probable I'll recieve an automated email with them in from breakerbox later. I also did find the process rather complex, being as once I hit "return to merchant" I was redirected to a dropbox folder containing a zip file of a word document which then! contained the links to download the full versions of all of the games. I would suggest Breakerbox look into getting some sort of automated checkout system (it's not like there aren't many available), or heck just use Paypal to redirect people to the page containing the dropbox links for whatever games they bought, ditto with having the links to buy several of the games displayed only through the word document in the demo's folder (one reason why i put a link to purchice Airik the clerric on the Airik page and will likely do the same with the other games when they get pages.Btw, just so everyone knows, a quick way of downloading dropbox files is simply to replace the zero at the end of each link with a one, which will let you directly download the file rather than having to go through dropbox own website, indeed this might be handy if Breakerbox want too setup an automated system for directly emailing download links to people who buy their games. so for instance, if you wanted to download the above Airic demo get the address: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w31hq7ogyjv6 … r.exe?dl=0And replace the zero, so the address reads: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w31hq7ogyjv6 … .exe?dl=1. I have done this for the demo download links on the db pages for Airik and Kirtwolf, and will also do so for the pages for the other games when they're done too. hth.

Re: Windows Screen Reader Usage data

Hi Defender, Yes, the documentation is very comprehensive and covers a lot of things. I don't find those review modes so complicated and I use them often in programs, and the only thing you need to learn is different commands. Insert plus numpad 7 and 1 switch between 2 modes known as object review and screen review, and if you're in browse mode there's also document review which i've never had the need to use yet. In short, screen review is very similar to jaws cursor, while the object review is like jaws's touch cursor and is in fact where jaws got it's inspiration for that mode. I recommend you read the manual, and if you still find it confusing download a great addon called OBJ pad from the official addons site which adds easyer commands to access all of these.

If you look, you'll notice you don't destroy the numbers. You rearrange them.. there's your clue. Whatever disc you hit first, the second disc you hit will swap positions with it.

While I agree with a lot of what SLJ said, I'm also of the mind to hope that Breakerbox Studios will step up their game because regardless of how poorly things have gone in the past, their games do sound very interesting, so I'm willing to play a waiting game in the hopes that things will be a lot better this time.

I might have to do that. I'm getting a new computer for college in May but I'd really prefer NOT to wait another 5 months. So, I'll try the game, and if I do have that issue, I'll buy one.

Re: unity game engine not accessible with screen reader?

There is no such thing. That's why Audio Games are only nominally where indi games were before Unity, MUGEN, RPG Maker, 3d Game Studio, or Macromedia Flash. We have to do everything from scratch, while everyone else can draw it without knowing any programming. You may now refer to me as Grumbler_jones.

Re: Release Date Announcement for A Hero's Call

Hmm. I don't have a good answer then, short of "You'll have to try it and see." I hate saying that because obviously I don't want you to spend money on the game and then have it virtually unplayable because of bad audio. If that happens, please shoot an email to support [at] outofsightgames.com and let us know.Have you considered purchasing a USB DAC? If you aren't familiar with them, DAC stands for digital-to-analog converter. Essentially you plug the DAC into a USB drive and it takes the digital audio signal your computer is pushing out and converts it to an analog signal at a much higher quality than your onboard sound card is able to. It's an improvement over most standard sound cards, so I'm sure it would be better than yours if yours is that terrible, and would be cheaper than buying a whole new rig. Just something you may want to look into if the audio problems are limiting your gaming options.
