This falls under the guideline that asks people not to practise thread necromancy. If you'd had something useful to say, then okay, maybe. But you didn't. Cut it out.It appears you like to troll sometimes. The occasional thing is not awful, but it appears to be increasing lately. You made a post a couple of weeks back suggesting Survive the Wild for a player who didn't want to do animal killing, and there's no excuse for that one either. If you keep this up, intervention will come in the form of a warning. Please don't go that far; cut your losses while you're just being cautioned, please.

Could the user's profile somehow be causing it? I'm not sure how that's possible, but it somehow sounds like a "user found a glitch" scenario. Since their are three of them, it could have been unintentional? I'd imagine a deliberate attack would either be one, or however many dozens they could spam before getting bored, and they'd change their profile for the glitch afterward. Three sounds like they made the thread, got an error, then tried again.

I changed the permissions on all the PHP and other files in the scripts and include folders so that they all look like rwxrwxr-x. Do I need to add the write permission to the others group? All the directories have these permissions as well. Finally, I used sudo systemctl stop apache2 and sudo systemctl start apache2 to restart the apache web server, but nothing helps.

From what I heard, the difficulty ramp was very gradual though, and even the bosses didn't really seem that threatening or truly unique.As for strategy?  How so.  All I could think of is choosing when to use your power spell, but you only get that half way through the game and it's just one small thing.  I'm probably missing something.Admittedly, the spell selection adds an extra step, but it's quite easy to get that down and the enemies move slowly with very light penalties for being hit, so there is no real sense of urgency.Personally I found sixth sense more difficult and it's similar in allot of ways.Then again like I said, this is from the point of view of someone who is comfortable with a touchscreen and who has played audio games for most of their life.

Now at this moment, there aren't any active warnings to speak of as they have all expired. Were this July, with warnings still instated, it would have most likely been a ban. The fact that he wasn't directly providing a link to the game is proof within itself. This game has generated far more drama than is reasonable, and it's nearly impossible to figure out who has the best claim on it. Rather than continuing to invite this level of confusion and heated debate, we as a team have elected to simply outlaw the game entirely until such time that it is no longer so controversial.We do not do this lightly, and we do not enjoy this sort of censorship. Please don't get the idea that we're going to start removing references to everything we don't like, or that we're cherry-picking on a personal level. We feel that at this point, our choice represents the best thing for the forum.This decision was made several weeks ago, but the topic in which it was made official got buried. From what I've heard so far on Liam's playthrough, it seems to, at it's core be just another simple hear and react game, which in 2019 is getting pretty old.Slow level progression, not allot of true difficulty increase, very little strategy or complexity, no real incentive to not get hit by enemies, and low replayability.That said, the music is great and I love that Mytruesound sourced it from the community, the sounds are high quality and fit well in most cases, the voice acting is amusing and the story has humor and heart, with a dash of lore thrown in.It's not something I'd buy because I'm tight on cash right now, otherwise I would just to support the developer.  But I do think it's a good game for kids or people who are pretty new to the touchscreen or to audio gaming in general, especially with the amount of useful help built in.I also appreciate the narrow stereo mode being included for those with hearing difficulties.  I hope that this type of thing becomes standard in the future for audio games, and I give Mytruesound props for doing it.Over all I think I would give it 3 stars, but that is from my personal view of things as an experienced audio gamer.Either way, I congratulate the Mytruesound team on getting another playable game out there, and I wish them luck in the future!

ok, so, this question has been on my mind for a while and i thought it was the perfect time to ask, be warned, this is a long posti have been in the blind community ever since late 2017 and i have noticed that most of the time there always seems to be a rivalry, a conflict, or just an outright war. Why is it like this. Why is it this community, being as small as it currently is, so, as i would say, fragmented, and i don't mean different forums and different places. I mean why are a lot of people against others. I can give you a couple of good examples.1, teamtalk. If anyone of you have hung out on the teamtalk public u s server, you would have seen that it used to be a magnet for spammers, and its not the only server, i have been on a lot of servers where someone would either be spamming, talking about someone behind their back, and more2. the former Anyaudio networkyes, i'm sure a lot of you know what anyaudio was. The former audio sharing sight hosted by Sam Tupy, there were people making fun of others, and constant back and forth between some users, although, there were some good users like sound master, ousamaben, and simba also uploaded some cool thingsso what i mean to say is, why is it most of the time people in this community either fight or gang up on others

Here's a few good ones. First, I had a braille note apex for a while, which I hated, but that's not the point. I had it hooked up to an iPad to do my schoolwork. I had a school that thought all blind people should absolutely adore Braille and never even try to learn plain old typing. Well, one day, the commands using the thumb keys stopped working. I couldn't fix it, so I called tech support. The support person asked me to turn on my speech, which I did. I was then asked to open the options menu, which I did. They then instructed me to press the f key, and when I did that, I heard thumb keys on. I had somehow turned off the thumb keys by accident, not even realizing that could be done.2. When Siri first came out, I was determined to play with it. Once, I was asking it a bunch of random questions on a friends phone. I asked, Siri, do you like sandwiches? Siri's response, Would you like me to search the web for do you like sex? Most, embarrassing, moment, ever.

Hi,Can anyone tell me how to use steam with nvda? I downloaded steam on my windows 10 laptop, and I can't get passed the log in screen, and the only way I can get nvda to read anything is by using nvda r. @Chris: I looked through the source to refresh my memory, but can't find any place where the timeout value is used. Perhaps I intended to implement it but got sidetracked. So, as far as I can tell it does nothing.@Defender: It might. I know there's been a lot of work with Mono and XAudio2 but haven't played with this type of setup. At the very least you'll see smaller memory requirements when you run the game because of its use of 32-bit data types instead of 64-bit types.

Oh, here's a good one.So, I used to belong to a site which is now defunct. As it happens, I connected with two prior partners through that site, and was, at different points, engaged to both of them. The former ended more amicably than not, the latter...exploded, let's just say that and be done. Needless to say, the latter was more on my mind and left more scars overall.Well, when the site was on its way out, there was sort of a "farewell, it's been a good ride" thread on their forums, and I mentioned all the good times and good things to come from that site. At one point, I said something like "I met two previous partners there, one of whom I was engaged to". This was quite obviously dead wrong, and the worst part? The first partner, the more amicable one overall, found this and called me on it (not on the thread, thank god). I basically had to eat crow and apologize, because she's savvy enough to have known exactly what I did, if not why. She was hurt because she thought I was implying that my engagement to her didn't count; it did, of course, but that's not how I made it look.Needless to say, I felt about a quarter-inch tall for awhile. I try not to hurt people, but that was just awful.

I guess one of my worst ones was while I was helping my mom put together a section of an online magazine our group of writers with disabilities publishes. This was the first issue, which was to be a collection of previously published material.As part of the editing process, we were adding the category/genre of each piece after the title and before the author. There was this one piece where we didn't know if it was fiction or nonfiction. Don't ask me why, I still to this day do not know. But for whatever reason, since we didn't know the category, I used the word "Weird" as a placeholder until we could Email the author and ask her if it was fiction or nonfiction.Well, it comes time to send this section out to some people for comments, etc. By this time, I'd totally forgotten about the "Weird" placeholder I'd used. So off into the land of Email it goes. I never gave it another thought until one of the people replied, saying that after such and such a title, it says "Weird." At that instant, I just wanted to dig a hole in the floor and disappear forever, let me tell you, especially since the author of the piece I'd marked as "Weird" was, you guessed it, one of those who had received the section for review!

FYI: I've done an update and "flattened" the shops. You can now buy things by walking to a cardinal direction. Too many people were having problems with the system recognizing the names of items. You can still sell things the same way.

Right, okay, that's cool.So Aaron decided, at least at first, that if people wanted to play manamon, they had to 1. pay forty dollars, and then 2. get better SAPI voices. You talk about a learning curve? Most other games don't ask this, and if you want to hit on the whole user experience thing, expecting users to know that/react to that is maybe asking a bit much. After all, if you have a screenreader that does 99.4% of everything else you could possibly want, why the heck would you ever bother getting better SAPI voices?So the user experience for many probably went like this:1. Get excited, buy the game2. Realize the game is clunky with their default SAPI voices3. Wind is gone from their sails, complaints ensue4. Ask for support for NVDA, which the fair portion of blind users either use or can grab access to (NVDA is not my primary screenreader, but I have it installed and it works for plenty of things)There are even users like me who were strongly considering not supporting if the game didn't get screenreader support. I know the headaches Jaws has, but NVDA, apart from the Mathmon issue, is very, very smooth. No bugs, no glitches, and it handles the text precisely the way I want it to. If it interrupts, it does so because I, ahem, know how to handle my screenreader and am making it do so. If this is how I want to play - and ostensibly how a lot of others want to play - then who is Aaron to deny that, or suggest that his way is the "best"?It kills me that you talk in one breath about the new user experience, and how hammering enter in this apparently awful way might kill one's enjoyment or whatever, or be otherwise alien...and yet, by your own admission, the default SAPI voices aren't great, so Aaron's game would've essentially been asking people to go download voices they ultimately weren't likely to use for much of anything else. Newbie-friendly? New customer friendly? Nah, I think not.

Nah, still not buying.It was bad enough for me that while I was playing with SAPI, early on, I was considering quitting until screenreader support was enabled. I am used to hitting enter to skip cutscenes or whatever, and when I know the game inside out, being able to hammer enter to speed through stuff is actually really freaking handy. I get what you're saying about Mathmon, you have a point there. I'm not saying screenreader support is perfect because it's clearly not. But it does appeal to a large subset of players and, IMHO, should have been available in the form it is now upon launch. Aaron's preferences don't factor into this; Aaron is not one of his own customers.Also, to clarify a previous post I made in reference to ElizaBaez, because apparently someone thought it was a neat idea to make a report calling this response into question:If you want to criticize a developer's actions, go for it. They do stuff, they are accountable. Good on you. I do it all the time. I'm hard on a few in particular.Try and avoid making massive judgments about that character, particularly where they are not proven. Example: maybe we don't call someone greedy without proof.I have been very critical of some of Aaron's design choices, pretty much since Paladin of the Sky. One of the things I harp on is that Aaron is stubborn, but he's proven this by how he interacts with suggestions. This isn't conjecture; it's fact. I don't then say that Aaron is immature, or that his upbringing made him stubborn. I don't talk about where he's from as a possible influence on his stances, because frankly that's just flailing, and it's not fair and not very kind.I try and stop well short of actual character assassination though, claiming, for instance, that Aaron is greedy by charging forty bucks for a game or whatever. If that's a high price, I might say so. If I think it's too high, I also might say so. If I feel Aaron needs to consider his pricing model more thoroughly in future? Same deal. But calling someone greedy because their prices are high is a leap. Calling someone stubborn because they have baldly stated that they refuse to change things is a direct logical connection. If you want to slam a dev, be reasonable, and be fair.A clarification on character assassination: if you hammer someone for doing exactly what they did, you're telling the facts; of course, it's possible to head into overkill territory, and that is its own set of problems. It's only really character assassination if you're trying to throw shade on someone for reasons that are either wildly exaggerated or made up entirely. Calling Aaron greedy, to my eyes, is exaggerated. Calling him stubborn is not.

Admittedly, Alter shared a lot of common skills/spells with Diku, and the syntax was pretty similar, so I suspect people could be forgiven if they assumed it was actually derivative, especially at first. It's evolved hugely since then, though.

Depending on how deep you want to go with this, I have lots of stories. I'll share a few though.I went to make ramen in the microwave once, about fourteen years ago, and totally forgot the water. Needless to say I damn near started a fire. There's a mistake I've only ever made once.I, too, have torn apart a trash bag by dragging it, but thank goodness mine was outside, not inside. I cleaned up what I could, but I'm sure I missed bits. It was five o'clock in the morning, at least. Now I make a point to lift, not drag, my trash bags. That one was definitely a little more recent.I moved into a new apartment in 2013, and a few days after moving in, I ordered a pizza. I accidentally sent it to the wrong address - my old home, as it turns out - and while they did get it to me eventually, it was pretty cold by that point. Totally my own damn fault, but they were generally more amused than angry when I told them what happened.I had just fed my cat, and went into the bathroom to wash my hands. I had my headphones going, and turned on the water (both cold and hot) because I wanted warm, not cold. Anyway, I was distracted and I forgot to turn the cold water tap off. Well, something is wrong with the drain in my bathroom; it works, but it's sluggish. Point is, the cold water, which I couldn't hear over my headphones (I was listening to House season 2 at the time) kept running, and eventually overflowed the sink. It spilled onto the floor and made a huge mess. I caught it about ten minutes later, and there was no overall damage, but it took three towels to sop up all the water.These are ultimately pretty surface-level things, but that's where we're at for now.

To clear up any misconceptions: Alter Aeon is not a DikuMUD, nor was it based on any other codebase. Dentin created it himself. He emulated a lot of familiar Diku features because the MUD he used to play, Hidden Worlds, used the Merc codebase, which was derived from Diku.  When Hidden Worlds went offline, Dentin missed it.  He decided to make his own MUD, incorporating features he enjoyed from Hidden Worlds.

Hm, i'm not running the latest wxpython, but I think you mixed up the Show() function. Instead of self.Show() it should be notify.Show(), or you can add it straight into the declaration like so:def button(self, event):

LOL! Here are some of my own. The first one happened near the beginning of June. I was at school in my dorm. I ordered a pizza as I was hungry. I also ordered a 1 L sprite.  Anyway, my pizza and drink arrive and I go to my room to eat it. So, I’ve finished my pizza and I was thirsty. Opened my sprite and was not careful as as soon as I opened it, it shot out like a mini volcano. My pants were covered in the stuff. I ran downstairs to the dining area where everyone was studying and I said  to the teacher who was on duty: sir, my thing exploded! Everyone thought I had peed my pants.  Here’s another one. Again, this has a pizza involved. So, I decided to order another pizza. My friend had set the order up just before our study time started. So, during our break I get a call from the driver. I ask: where are you? And he says to me: I’m outside. We go to the gate and he is not there. I ask my friend to check the address.  Apparently, we had sent him to the completely wrong address. I had to ask him to come back. He was none too pleased about that.  Another one happened on this very forum. Do you remember the topic I posted asking if anyone had met Molly Burke? I tried to say that I had bought her audible book and I accidentally said I bought her a Audible book. Whoops!  I remember when I was using a pair of Bluetooth headphones that had a built in microphone. I tried to ask Siri if he recognised a specific song that was playing. I said: Siri do you recognise this? The next thing he said was: that’s not very nice. I checked the history and he had interpreted my questionn as: can you lick my dick? LOL!

Dark, I am okay with a few adjectives, and a few bits of dialogue attribution. But if you overdo it, to me it just gets ugly. Look at the Manamon script for an exercise in how -not to pump up your writing. Or countless thousands of fanfiction examples, for that matter. They're all over."dark splendour", to me, isn't overegging the pudding, but if I carried on at all past that, it would be. Absolutely. This, though (and I forgot to mention this in my last post) comes down to style. I like a bit of artistry in my writing; I care about beat, about evocative imagery, but I also want you to carry me along while -not bombarding me with too many high-powered words. Do it wrong and you'll yank me right out of a story.

I completed the  story, it took me about two hours too (though I haven't gotten 3 stars on  every level yet). Overall it was fun, I  did have an  issue where the screen sometimes just didn't acknowledge my gesture  for some reason and  I would get hit  by an enemy (I think the button UI was taking  over or something instead of the spell gesture part of it).

@12, no, not something even remotely capable of allowing you to do that. UEFI makes such an interface possible but it has not been done quite yet. I submitted an RFC to EDK2 and still have gotten no response; I'll probably contact the UEFI forum again to inquire about that.

ahem yet i need understand why my phone won't work in audiogames. So, should i type this here too? let's go:Once, i  downloaded emppire series, i opened one of them i think it was asia emppire 2027, i choose language to english, and ok i'm in beeg wehry wehry big main menu. I find single player game, and double tapped on that. But guess? nothing happened, and it was in still main menu. I tryed with talkback, then voice asistant but still no any chanse. I'm using samsung galaxy s6 edge, running on android 7.0 nougat. Do you know what's making this issue? thanks in advance.
