Now, many feeds that you add can't be interacted with at all. I haven't found anything that comes close to the functionality that QCast had in its heyday, though I'm always willing to be surprised. Common sense is the one thing that gets us pretty far in terms of most things, and I hope it will be a solid guide where this is concerned too, but we'll just have to see.Another thing I wanted to mention in my last post is about how scared I am of being quarantined. I don't know what it entails, but it can't be anything good, seeing as how most people seem to believe, on this thread and elsewhere, that people who have the virus should be treated as criminals and/or terrorists. The thing that scares me the most is, what if my partner were to contract this thing, and test positive? Of course, the first thing I would be concerned about would be his health, and that of those around him, but then there's a very selfish part of me that's going, I can't deal with him just disappearing, and not being allowed to tell me or anyone else where he is. I assume that quarantine is a lot like solitary confinement, though God knows, and I really don't even want to think about, the locations of said solitary confinement. And if I'm the one doing the disappearing? I'd like to think he'd cope much better than me--lord knows he's a very upbeat person, and he's been my anchor throughout this ordeal, though he needs me now too--but I still wouldn't want to do that to him. When I go for several hours without hearing from him (like now) I spiral into full-on panic mode. I hate it! Maybe if we weren't in separate states, it wouldn't be so bad, but we are, and that's how it is. There are, surprisingly, sources of funding which schools have access to that can only be used on certain things through companies which have gone through various legal hurdles.The Victor Reader Stream had a brief moment in something like 2008 where it shined because iPhones hadn't really become super popular yet, and Bookshare hadn't gone as digital as it is, and RFBND (now Learning Ally) didn't have apps but you had to use a device that supported their DRM to play the files. I'm old enough to remember being so thrilled that I didn't have to carry around a CD player that was as big as a netbook. True, there hasn't been talk of that yet, but if the spread of the virus doesn't slow, or actually continues to rise, then entire infrastructures could collapse. And when that happens, that's when people will go nuts. At that point, there really would be no recovery. I certainly hope that won't happen, but anything is possible. Right now, what I'm focused on for the most part is the health and safety of those who are important to me, since, as I said, I've received information that I could have possibly been exposed. And, for the record, I do have a strong immune system, but that doesn't mean all that much, especially when it comes to possible unknowing transmission to others. In fact, today, I was called a terrorist for possibly being a carrier.There are financial considerations that are weighing on me, too. At the moment, both my parents have jobs which are considered essential. That could change at a moment's notice, however. We're not poor by any means, but with literally no source of income, especially for several months, we would tank, just as many others would. That's why I feel so bad even worrying about that, because I know that, right now, there are hundreds of thousands of people who can no longer make ends meet. I worry even harder for my partner's family, who are more or less scraping by as it is. Knowing that I can do nothing to help, that's one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced. Hi.For those who are thinking, I told you so, well done you're 100% correct.I'm not buying the blindshell phone and will be sticking to my IPhones in the future.I find android a bit to clunky or perhaps different for me so will be sticking to apple.why am I not going to buy the BlindShell phone? Texting and the fact is; I'd miss to many apps.I thought that texting would be cool, a flashback to the past as it were but no, it's slow and clunky on the victor reader stream so I'd imagine it would be the same way on the BlindShell clasic.I can speak to it but honestly after using the victor reader stream, I'm not willing to wrisk it.I got the victor reader stream thinking that I'd have a new device I could play podcasts on and also listen to the radio with but have realised my IPhone is tuns faster and a lot easier to use.The biggest bripe I have with the device is that you can only coppy/move? 10 podcast eppisodes over from the main memory to the SD card at a time, so let's say your podcast has 100 eppisodes, have fun finding the podcast, then pressing the top right button a couple times until you find the move option, then pressing the bottom right key, then waiting for the device to speak about moving and confirming if you want to move the podcasts epppisodes, then pressing the confirm button then waiting for about a minute while they move over, then waiting for that podcast to download another 10 eppisodes and doing it all over again.Honestly? This is one of the slowest worst perchices I've made but I'll at least keep it for a year, you however, shouldn't buy this book player in my oppinion or if you do, at least try one out first. I have a friend who doesn't even understand O(n) and who has trouble with algebra, who wasn't programming as of 3 months ago, and whose background is in political science dealing with SQL fine.And as I already said: BigQuery exists, TiDB exists, and MySQL scales far enough for Uber. Postgres also scales far enough for Uber; they left it because of backup features that only MySQL had (but now Postgres beats MySql on those features, because that's how this stuff goes).You don't need to know set theory for any of it. The optimizers just handle it for you.I've already said that I've seen SQL scale, *when deployed improperly*. When deployed properly it scales much bigger than that system ever did.You only need the more advanced features of SQL when you do more advanced things that non-SQL databases can't do. Tables and a basic where clause are dirt simple. Joins are a bit less simple, but then most of the modern NoSQL databases suck at joins.Colleges teach this as set theory, because they're colleges and that's what they do. But if you just step away from that and teach it as a translation from a Python for loop to SQL, you can get someone going with it almost instantly, and the SQL compilers are able to produce much better code. You don't have to hand migrate, there's a reason ORMs exist.You're complaining about this, but in a way that shows you don't actually know it, then telling people not to learn it because it's hard and not scalable, even though it's one of the most commonly used tools out there and something where having experience in it counts for something in any backend job interview. Dissidia Final Fantasy: a Final Fantasy game we can all enjoy With the Final Fantasy 7 remake coming, I thought I'd bring focus to the Final Fantasy fighting game, called Dissidia. In it, you have the main character and rival of the first ten, or in DuoDecim's case, 12, Final Fantasy games, in one world, fighting for the gods of order and chaos. It is more than just a fighting game, however. It does have an "arcade" mode, or simple battles, but also has a story mode, RPG type story mode, ways to unlock new characters, stages, and battle music, and even a way to listen to all of the music in the game. Characters gain experience after each battle. When enough experience is collected for a character, that character levels up, gaining the ability to use new attacks.Speaking of attacks, there are three slots, three for ground, three for air, for both HP (hitpoints), and BRV (bravery) attacks, Bravery used to lower opponents' defense. This allows characters to be customized greatly, meaning that a character can be made into your personal play style.Even in combat, the game is more than just a fighting game. One can send a foe flying, then chase the opponent, attacking further for even more damage, or to weaken their defense further. Ex-cores can be gathered as they appear on the battle field to raise a character's ex-gauge, and when full, a character can enter a mode of even more power, with the ability to unleash a devastating attack on the opponent, possibly winning the match.These games were originally released for the PSP (Playstation Portable), but can be emulated perfectly on a computer, using PPSSPP with screen reader's OCR and online play, or Retroarch with its accessibility and OCR.The gameplay is 3D, with characters able to do ground and air combat. All characters have different move sets, voices, stories, and play styles, but the controls are the same. Original Dissidia has an accessible story mode, but less characters, and is not widely played online. Dissidia DuoDecim has more characters, and is played online in the Discord community of Dissidia, but its story mode is not accessible, however can be played with astronomical patience, determination, and luck. I should be pretty mad about that 20 bucks spent, but at this point it happened so long ago that it doesn't matter, and I was trying to help knfb improve their tech by taking advantage of their promotional sale on the play store, but if they didnt then that's on them and i did my part. Btw, i rarely if ever at all saw updates to knfb reader after i bought it. By default, it's set to only @mentions, but you can set it to notify you about every new message in the server, or adjust settings for individual channels.And I never have to use the tab key for Discord; then again, that's probably because I just never use the tab key anywhere. There's several shortcuts, and the same keys that work in web navigation also work for Discord, so you can navigate by button, heading, edit box, etc.I think that at this point, it's quite useable. There's definitely still flaws, but overall, it's much, much better than it used to be.
