Amazingly, after a lot of tinkering (including 3 more full uninstalls and Steam Workshop resubscription), I finally got the controller to behave properly! I toggled steam support for both PS4 and Xbox controllers a few timers, wiped USB devices... etc. and now it finally works like it's supposed to. No idea what teh trick was that did it, but hey, it works (at least for now). Accessible guitar tuners Hello everyone. I'd like to know what guitar tuners is everyone using? I've tried G-Tune but I'm quite confused about its signal. Sometimes it gets sharp or flat or around 0. But I also tried waves tune with the assistants of my cousin. I know I can hear notes easily but it's nice to have a tuner for accurate tuning. And my cousin says, damn this is really good! He wasn't locking his borders entirely, just people from China. But yes, this was a good first step on Trump's part. I suspect Biden was criticizing the reason, not so much the method.2. Taking it seriously: uh, no. Just no. Trump was on tape in February saying he knew this was a big deal. He's on record in March telling the American people that it's a hoax, it's not a big deal, it's only really a problem in China (which by this point had started to get a handle on it, I believe). Trump deliberately lied to Americans so as not to cause a panic, and refused to lock things down until he had almost no choice. Earlier, firmer response would have dropped the death oll significantly, and probably sped up the recovery afterword. Trump didn't want to be seen as weak and didn't want to lose face, so he tried to blow it off and pretend it wasn't a big deal when he should've known it would just detonate in his face. He refused to set a good example by wearing a mask in public, and by continuing to hold public rallies during the pandemic. He set a bad example by talking about injecting bleach or rubbing alcohol. He keeps racializing the virus by calling it the china virus or the china plague. He and republicans repeatedly stalled democrat relief efforts because they "cost too much", and repeatedly tried to sneak in certain repeals and breaks for the rich into Covid legislation as a condition of their participation. Someone has to start deciding who lives and who dies. You start running out of beds and PPE and ventilators and medicine.6. The economy falls apart and may as well be shut anyway. All your essential workers are sick, dying, dead or now on strike because you didn't protect them and now don't have the means to do so. It's too late. (I still don't know specifically what Trump would have to do to lose your support)Here is how I would react in the face of Covid-19:1. The instant I heard about this virus coming out of China, I would invest time, effort and even money, if necessary, into consulting virology experts to assess the damage potential for my country. I would not waste time trying to prove or disprove that the release was accidental or purposeful at this time, but I would keep my ears open for information which definitively proved one side or the other.2. The instant I knew beyond a reasonable doubt that my country was going to take a pounding from this virus, I would consult pre-existing pandemic legislation and preparedness materials - yes, they were well-established by this point, both by GWB and Obama - in order to determine how best to prepare the country for what was coming. This includes closing borders, alerting medical staff to the coming pandemic, activating the national stockpile for PPE and other such things, and taking my place on the world stage so as to hopefully assist other countries which would soon be hardest hit. As the president of a very powerful country, I would know that while my first responsibility is to my own people, there are millions of others who will look to my country for guidance, and I would do my level best to act in a manner fitting my station.3. In my initial addresses to the people, I would cite the importance of listening to science, and would make very clear that I, as president, was going to do everything I could to keep my fellow countrymen safe and secure. I would speak in realistic but calm terms, neither attempting to dismiss Covid-19 as a "leftist hoax" nor trying to imply that it was going to kill anyone and everyone. I would recognize that as president, it is my responsibility to guide my country through this crisis with firm leadership, information and policy. I would not panic my citizens by trying to incite hatred of China or my opposite party, and I would not pretend that unsafe chemical interventions were worthwhile; in fact, I would state very firmly that injecting lleach, drinking rubbing alcohol or using hydroxychloroquine were not prescribed for Covid-19, and in the former two cases, were at high risk of causing injury or death. I take the health and safety of my citizens very safely, and would make sure that they are not being misled.4. If changes to health policy occurred, and caused confusion, I would do my best to explain that with any evolving crisis such as this, information can change the way experts understand the ramifications of their actions. If needed, I would invite trusted health experts to explain these changes in policy in terms that an everyday person can understand. I would establish a mutually beneficial arrangement with health officials and governing bodies, rather than an adversarial one.5. I would close down the economy as much as reasonably possible, and try to increase pay for essential front-line staff upon whom we all rely for the maintenance of critical infrastructure. In closing down the economy, I would use my considerable power to make sure that those out of work and facing potential financial hardship were provided with enough money to cover for their social needs. I would recognize that, in this state of pandemic, it is well within my right as a president to do this. It would cost money in the short term, but the alternative will cost more in the long run due to hospital overcrowding, longer required delays before the economy would come back to normal, etc. I would also make clear to the people that while the economy closure is unpleasant, it is being done for the common good, and would once again stress the importance of a quick and decisive response to Covid-19. I would also reassure people that with such a response, this economy shutdown would be temporary, and would continue only as long as it was indicated by prevailing health and science expertise.6. If I had to be in public, I would set a good example by wearing a mask at all times, and by trying to maintain proper physical distancing. I would encourage anyone feeling ill to get tested, and would do everything within my power to make sure that expedient and accurate testing services were available everywhere in my country. I would cancel all public rallies I might have been intending to have in order to support my bid for re-election, and would look into other ways to further my campaign, since encouraging people to gather in large groups runs counter to the evidence presented about physical distancing and the coronavirus.7. In response to the violence which sometimes resulted from protests in the wake of George Floyd's murder, I would condemn all acts of violence from all sides, and would ask all related individuals and officials

You have to take what you're given, and the U.S.'s structures here aren't able to support that.I don't like Biden because he's basically a pre-Trump Republican, far as I can tell. But the problem with Sanders is that you can't just wave your magic wand and suddenly the U.S. is funding all this stuff. We don't have the ability to take on long projects right now. We get 4 years, 8 at best, then everything we worked on gets thrown out or at least not worked on anymore. We've got a super conservative supreme court that's about to have a supermajority as well. We've got half the country who's going to turn this into evil socialism o no, who couldn't even cope with the ACA.I'd love us to be able to fund education, and all that. We have the money for it. But we don't have the political continuity for it. Same thing like with single payer health care. No one is working on getting people on board with these things in a way that lets us work on them for the next 10 years to work out all the kinks. Even if 100% of congress woke up tomorrow and said let's fund everything universally, it'd still take 5-10 years to actually do it. But the U.S. is so screwed up that we have "democracy" where having a majority vote doesn't matter to elect our president, and tiny minorities can just disrupt anything big by saying "time for the supreme court" which, even if they side for doing it, is enough of a stalling tactic that it kills the project.All this stuff, I want it. But it's more important to make progress than to have it. I'll take progress. No one is offering progress, however. Pick between Trump who wants to burn it all and doesn't even make a secret of that, Biden who is at least status quo, or Sanders who wants to burn it all in a different, arguably more helpful way. Incremental improvement, haha no. Democrats have to go for the biggest proposal they can imagine because that's the only way to get votes for them, and Republicans have to stall the evil democrats because as soon as they say "maybe we should compromise" they start dropping votes faster than they could count, so here we are. By that logic I am wondering if your antivirus is doing a catch up full scan and never completing because you're shutting it down?Also another thought is could it be a windows update service running in the background? First time I've had this issue, but Microsoft just lost a lot of powershell points because of this.For Python versions, there's two options. First is the launcher: on Windows you do py -3.6 arguments-here. That's included with Python but is kind of meh.What I do is install anaconda and let it manage them for me. I suspect that you'll not be able to find a workaround here, but you should really use virtualenvs for anything serious anyway, and anaconda will just let you:conda activate synthizerfrom anywhere. Unfortunately I always have to look up how to set a specific version when building new environments.you might be going "but that's overkill for multiversion python" and it is, but Anaconda also makes a shit ton of other Python stuff "just work" up to and including being able to install the Cuda SDK and other non-python deps transparently as needed, so if you're doing serious enough stuff that this matters you probably want it.Anyway I will have to learn lldb now that we have it working, heh. Well get a job with an access company or as many companies as you can.Since covid, a lot of stuff is going online.I have 3 jobs with 3 access companies.Not all are payed but I have a few things that I do for testing sites from time to time.Not constant though.If you know enough about something, others may want to use it or hear you talk about it or want to use your knowhow on something and will pay you for it.Sadly some physical research stuff may be out at this time but research projects can pay well enough though again not constant.Finally there are clinical trials of things.There are a lot of these.You need to be healthy and be ready to take some risks.I heard one advertised yesterday on radio.They would pay 3.4 grand.Obviously sooner or later, you will find a bug.Bugs in projects are fine.But drug trials when there is a bug, then you really don't want to be at the end of it if you know what I mean.There are enough stories if you look at them that would make you quake.I certainly am not game to take that sort of risk.But yeah, the 3k was really tempting. I went to Florida Atlantic University for a CS degree, which isn't really so great--they're accredited, but that's all you can say about them. Keeping in mind that cost doesn't change per degree, the only reason I don't have student loans out my ass is because my father paid for all the stuff I couldn't get covered with scholarships to make it happen. Everyone I knew, in easier majors than mine, were studying 12-14 hours a day to get through. I could probably have lowered costs some, but if I hadn't basically been the picture next to the dictionary of "good student", I'd probably still be in debt. So while my point was to merely quote the position to try to offer explanation, using the specific example that started the discussion, it is problematic. I'm sure there's community colleges and such out there that are super affordable and whatnot,but "and now you moved across the country to go to Nowhere, Alaska to get a sham degree so you can work at Walmart as a manager instead of a grunt" isn't really better. I just don't know what we can do about it. We need stories like that.I have had this happen quite a lot.I go to a couple asian style shops and lets say the owners are generous to a tea.Seriously, I go to buy something, I get extra things for myself.Sometimes they are just suites, but once I got an rice cracker the size of an a4 page.And I was actually hungry.It took me 20 minutes to eat.I have been in a shop with all sorts of biscuits and stuff another time, and I noticed some ginger biscuits and asked what they were and how much.I was with my mum at the time.The lady behind the counter looked at my mum so I was told and I just got those for nothing at all which was nice.I have had many things like that.In my student days, the cafe often would give me extras.I always got out of classes just before closing time and they always had extra food.They knew I liked to eat cake so well sometimes I got extras.That was not good because I got quite large, but I was actually hungry so.There are probably a load more, my brother used the same taxi company for work and kept getting stuff from the drivers that were asian.I got the same to, and even a christmas card once.I have recieved food that was technically expired for half price, that would only last about a day or 2, but no food that is sweet last more than that anyway if that.The take away would always give free sossages and such while I was doing some student flatting.When I asked why, he said he liked to suppor the students especially those that were blind and since it was close to the blind school at the time it wasn't a bother for him, becides he had to give a lot of stuff away at the end of the night as it was.There are various other nice stories like that.God knows, we need them.Its been a hell of a year, and there could be 2 more at least of this to go, and at least 5-10 years to try to rebuild as long as things don't go bad again.Saying that, as humans we need something to fight against else we will not survive and become weak.And lets face it, as a race we havn't had anything really to fight against for a while.As long as I have some cash, power, the net and tom jones coming out of the echo connected to my living room stereo I don't mind that much. Granted, he did not act as soon as he ought to have, but he did act. He could have done nothing and then imagine how many we might have lost here in America. Even if he had acted when people say he should have, he would have still been wrong because he is Trump. Hi.As the subject says, I'm in need of help for a really annoying problem on my XPS.The more I use it, the more the ram usage increases.Sometimes I would wake it from sleep or hibernation, and the ram usage will be at 90% without anything showing on task manager.It's really annoying because I have to restart it all the time I want to use it.I've tried using different web browsers, closing any non-important services, and I have search indexing turned off as I use open shell.If anyone could help it would be appreciated.Thanks in advance. Re: Strange behaviour with my PC Hmmm I have to handle a lot of older hardware for my family.One of my uncles in particular likes to buy and use older stuff.He got one of the latest, well the system before his latest which is actually a good system.This system as usual was not a brand name hp box or anything but was a cludge of shit some guy put together, slapped some emulation software in to call it a system and put it online.Well after setting it up, full reformat and everything, it worked, but suddenly things started happening which didn't make sence.Updates installed but were half done, stuff like sound and things got screwed for no reason.User profiles corrupted for no reason.The system got malware and virus like behaviour, even though settings were fine.Yet, when I had it at my house, did the updates, set everything up, and got it working it wouldn't do.This went on and on and on, till I decided that it had to be something physical.Instead of doing what I usually would do, and update it via its wireless interface, I pulled the wireless card from the box and connected it via the network cable.Immediately the virus like behaviour stopped, software updated fine.I had to recreate the user accounts and update the mangled sound drivers but a malware check put it as fine and no issues.The logs though showed several interupted connections and the like.Firstly, before I say much more, look up ralink or raylink in wikipedia.Short answer, it doesn't exist anymore.There is no drivers for any of their stuff and guess what, its not even supported in windows like really much anymore.You can't even buy their cards anymore.The card was obviously dead.I got a large tp link archer 4t2u which is an ac 1200 card which is quite old now.However, it at least does work.Maybe I could have got the miniture but as it is it sits on top of the unit and it runs like its supposed to.Windows likes to do stuff while it idols.If it decides to be like that then the windows shell experience is stuck. it often gets stuck here.One thing you can try, is after installing all updates, and all drivers as well as firmware, follow your computer maker's instructions on flushing theram and other memmory modules.In most units being desktops with a reset button.Turn off the unit, pull the plug, take out all the devices.turn off the switch at the back, hold the reset for 5-15 seconds, then plug the stuff back in slowly, try your keyboard first.hit the power button and wait.If nothing happens hit that enter key or f1 or whatever you need to do.You may or may not need sight to exit setup but most likely you have a boot menu to hit enter on.It may fix things.On systems with a power only, same procedure but its the power to hold down for 5-15 seconds.In laptops hp but maybe others, for the battery ones, remove everything and pull the battery.then hold power for 5-15 seconds, 15 is suggested.Without a battery, skip the battery step but the rest is the same pritty much.I have always had fan noise going nuts.I did a bios update and also a firmware update and the system couldn't find the boot device for a few rounds.It turned out the chips needed a hard flush or powered reset.If you are lucky, this is probably all you need to do.My fan no longer does bad things.It will also refresh your devices if they are not working right.Certainly things have run a lot better after a powered flush of the chips.If this doesn't work, resetting bios or a reflash may need to be in order pluss another reset.But yeah, its something I only just recently found out how to do and its solved a lot of issues. True, you generally have to have good grades, and it's allot harder to get those when your poor for allot of reasons as I'm sure you're aware, but I think your over simplifying too much and when trying to explain it to someone who really doesn't have any prier knowledge, it seems irresponsible to not mention those at all, even if they clearly aren't enough.We also can't forget that internet entrepreneurship and contract work is more prevalent than ever before, and often doesn't require much experience, though it's also obviously not particularly stable or lucrative much of the time.@AccmanI agree, I think Enes is going too far, I understand why he feels the way he does, and I can't honestly say I don't wish Trump would die as well, but I don't want him to suffer, I just want him gone, and death is a convenient method that would remove him from the situation permanently.However I also know how bad that would be for the country in the short term, so it's a mixed sort of feeling...That said, while I'm not religious or particularly justice hungry, I do believe that him, and those like him who have done the types of things he has done both before and after running for election need to be removed for the health of society.It wouldn't solve the problem in the long run, but it would at least give us the breathing room to start improving things I hope, at least once the dust settled. Ho much incompetence can reasonably be forgiven? I'd say the level of incompetence here is lightyears beyond forgivable incompetence. It's bad as in a medic just killed a patient because they gave them the wrong medicine bad. if you want to split hairs on this one, that might be an accident technically, but an accident that would result in their ass being shown the door and becoming a disgrace to the A M A, because you just don't let that type of incompetence go unpunished. So, how would Trump and friends' mismanagement of Covid resulting in the deaths of nearly 20 people possibly be considered remotely accepted, even accepted in resignation? How can you take an it is what it is stance on something like that? Ok, were deaths inevitable? Yes. But had there been a better management strategy, then there would have been far fewer deaths.
