Is anyone in the UK interested in by a macbook pro? Hi.The topic subject says it all really.It's the basic factory model. It's not the newest Macbook pro.I think it's the 2012 model.I've had it for about a year maybe two.I'm sorry I don't know much about the specs apart from it has 4 gigs of Ram is running the latest OS, I'm not sure about the hard drive size or any other specs.I'm sorry I know that a lot of people would want to see all the specs and I'm sorry I can't give that.It has windows eight on it but I can remove it, (I'm not sure how but I'll find out).About the price. I'm wanting between six to eight hundred for it.while I know it's not the newest model, it works fine, there's no scratches on it and nothing is wrong with the machine at all.The reason I want to get rid of it is because I made a mistake in buying the mac and found out that I am not a mac person.I've trie d getting on with it but just can't.Also I want to buy a new windows laptop and max certain features out, example ram and highest CPU possible.With this model I found out that the highest you can go when it comes to ram is eight gigs where as withwindows the highest you can go is 32.I'm not sure about the newer models when it comes to macs but with this one it's only eight gigs. And while that might be enough for some people I guess I'm just crazy like that and like maxing things out. Hi.I like QCast but I think there are a couple things wrong with it.And the devolpers don't seem to want to update it.For example, you don't know when all podcasts are downloaded.Theres no way to tell, so you can close the app and it won't give you a diolog box or anything.Secondly, there's no way to tell wich podcasts have new eps. You just have to download again, yeah I know it remembers what you've downloaded but stil.Thirdly, there's sometimes errors, that say such and such podcasts is unable to download. I know that's not there fault ,but having to press enter or space on every ok button can get kind of annoying.Would it be posssible to make it so that that kind of thing happens in the background?Forthly, with all these tiny issues, I don't really think it's worth the 30 dollars I think it is that you pay for it.Maybe 10 or even just 5. Or maybe make it free. Hi.If you want 43 gb of audio described movies.First you'll need to download bit torrent sinc.Find out more here.http://www.bittorrent.com/syncAnd download the NVDA addon here.http://jeff.vrnw.org/NVDA.htmI'm not sure how good the program works with JAWS but it should work fine.once you've done that and got familiar with Bit Sinc.Put this secret into the add folder dialog.BDYVTLPDLJWXE5YANRI3CZ4C54UKMVJKHOnce you've done that click on the brows button and pick a folder where you want the audio described movies to go to.Then tab to okay and pres enter.Once that's done it will tel you after a minute or two. audio described folder sinking.Then all you have to do is wait for about a day and you'll have it, if you're internet is fast it will take about two hours.Once all 42 gb of the movies is downloaded, please remove the folder from the program before cutting or copying the audio described folder.The way to do this is: 1. Go to the movie folder in the list.2. Hi.When I run the text to speech in windows eight under control pannel this is the error I get.Windows Shell Common Dll has stopped workingIt's under the speech properties.I'm running windows eight with the program files x86 folder.well it has both but I think that's the important one.This is really frustrating since I tried to run a register repair program from Microsoft and after about five mins of working the program just crashes. Reg repare.exe has crashed windows will notifie you if it finds a way of fixing this.Well Okay that's not exactly what it says but I'm getting quite annoyed, is there any way of fixing this?I bought ivona voices and am thinking of geting my money bakc, in fact I'm going to since my speech doesn't seem to be working. If you've ever used voiceover on a mac and interacted with tables and other elements then you'll get the hang of this straight away. If not, don't worry. It's not that hard.First the keys: NVDA pluss numb pad, 4 and 6 will move you left and right in a window, where as 2 and 8 will move you in and out of an object.Oh and nvda plus numbpad enter will click on that object.So if I press my nvda key and 4. I here. Write message text. so what that is doing is moving me left through the objects in the window I am focused on.4 and 6 move you through the window that you're focused on But what if you here table or list or something like that and want to take a look, what do you do?Well you zoom into the object or enter it, what ever term you prefer to use, by pressing your nvda key and 2. on the numb pad. This will go into that object and then when you press NVDA pluss 4 and or 6, that will show you the controls in that object.I'm sorry if I've confused you even more. The best thing to do would be to try it out. Don't worry you can't brake NVDA.I hope this helps. Re: Linux discussion, tips and hints Hi.The only difference I've found when navigating on the web with Orka is that you need to use insert a to activate forms mode, as JaseK said, the other commands should work the same as windows commands.It would be nice, I think, if you could change the speed or pitch on the fly, I couldn't find a way to do that when messing with linux, honestly I didn't look that hard but maybe someone could put a new post up with the most common Orka commands for those getting started?Like I said in my post, seperate it using headings and maybe add links where the person can get VMwhere and linux stuff too.
