Manamon II and firewall updates?

Hi all.So a friend and I both bought Manamon II a week ago. We've been playing and enjoying ourselves, until  yesterday. Since then, both of our computers are telling us Manamon II is a virus. I know it's not because I've been playing it, and it just uninstalled it and gave us no choice. We've tried reinstalling it with no success. We have both purchased it and made good progress. Any advice on fixing this? I'm assuming it has something to do with windows updating its antiviruses? Apologies if this is the wrong thread for this question.

Hi,I bought Audio wizards a month ago, and liked it, despite the arcadyness. I tend to stear clear of arcade games, but I love wizard/magic themes, so I was neatly torn. I am, however, glad I bought it. I will likely buy your PC version too, because pressing keys is easier when speed is needed, in my opinion, than swiping. Loved the music, though I had a bit of trouble distinguishing the elemental sounds. I guess I'm posting to say, don't let sales discourage. New games are a treasure in this community, and I can't wait till your next one. I second what was said before about steam. I most likely will not buy the PC games if they are on steam. I thought about getting it last year, and I gave it up because, from my research on it, it's barely navigable with a screen reader. Thanks for what you do.

Aprone, have you received anything from me? I can't possibly send an attachment with the sight's email option, it doesn't have a button to attach, and when I try to paste it just pasts a lot of blank lines. So i went to your site and got your email, but i think something went southwest with gmail... but I'm afraid to send the thing yet again in case I've already spammed you with one or more tries. I'm not used to mailing people via my pc but I have to to send this. If you say no I'll do it again, because I think I know what went wrong. I'm typing the body and subject and everything before the attachment and it's disappearing when I send the attachment. but when i added the attachment first it didn't go away. But I'm scared it sent instead of disappearing so i didn't send it again even though I figured it out.

Hi, One of my favorites doesn't get much noise on audiogames.net, and it's kind of a big mud. lol. it's lost souls, lostsouls.org 23. You're brave and crazy if you can attack this one lol. but it is a good mud in my opinion. sometimes a good bit of reading wiki.lostsouls.org is needed to get some of the concepts, and they need a better newbie system, but it's cool.Also I wouldn't mine having a little something for aerion, erionmud.com 1234... not everyone loves that one either, but I like the more solo adventurer type muds that are also fairly newbie friendly.

making new soundpacks

Hi all,I wanted to try tackling making a soundpack on VipMud. Just not sure how to go about it. Is a soundpack nothing more than a handful of triggers? but then, triggers can only play one at a time. Does anyone know how to get around that or how you're really supposed to do it? I sure have enough sounds and know where to get them.if you have to credit someone for a sound, do you just make a txt in the zip with the triggers and say sounds curtesy of blablabla? any advice would be appreciated.

I agree. I'll start small, I have no clue what this dwarf fortress is...But karati, You can't link prims using radegast, but you can make prims, define their shape with the labeled options, and more if you can figure out what the unlabeled but still usable options are with the prim builder plugin. I have also made prims that can do things, so you can put scripts and other things inside prims if you know the trick. it's just a matter of experimenting with what you can and cannot do, getting yourself into embarrassing situations a time or two, then laughing them off later. (Buying a house that was called a lounge so I thought it was a sofa, taking it into my apartment and sitting on it...) I'll post any games I make on audiogames, if I make anything worth posting, and the better I become, the closer I'll be. You may need more than one developer interested though. I don't even think I'll ever have access to the servers required, or all the resources just to name one thing.

Hi all,I said I was interested in tackling this, and I am, but dark, I think it was you, pretty much put his finger on why I'm so stinking daunted by actually creating a virtual world. For those who have played sl a little but not really dived because of feature lacks and such, or  those who haven't really investigated, allow me to pose this analogy, as I still regularly use sl and indeed have a premium account there.Think of the world wide web. Ask yourself, what can I do on the internet? Well... what can't you do on the internet? granted lots of things are not accessible to us, but the end user can generally do just about anything on the internet.What we... I... am proposing to do is rebuild something equivalent to the internet, where anyone can make a website, (region, item, etc.,) from scratch. For a girl who was proud of herself for making her first madlib game that you can only run from the command line... well... It's like a 4 year old saying "I'm going to be an astronaut!" LOL.  And nice, post 13! the prim idea!

Hi all,A step ahead. I've already been hatching this kind of thing in my head for months.I've got the ideas for navigation and building down. Radegast gave me the ideas. I am not yet a programmer, but I will be going to school for computer science. I had originally thought up these ideas for a whole new viewer, but maybe a whole new world would work better? IDK.My proposal:building.building would go similar to the build prims plugin in radegast. It already has a combo box for box, tube, prism, etc etc. in ours we could also, if one was in ocean, call up land. But this is where it'd differ from radegast. There would be a size dialog, length, width, height of the object. And, also in radegast I believe but it's not labeled, where it's going to be rezed, by position coordinates. But ours would have a link button. then we could choose a prim, or other object, to link it to. and this part I am not as sure of, but maybe we could have it say top right, bottom left, right center, etc, for the position on the first prim to link the second one to. Navigation:I was told that in firestorm, they use the arrow keys to walk. Why couldn't we? we would just have audio cues to know when we are touching walls, near other people, or objects. My pet peeve in sl is that sometimes, I'll try to walk to an object that is, say, 20m away, and oops. I can't walk to that object without finding the exit to the room I'm in. it's 20m away, in a completely different room, although radegast sees it as just another object less than 40m away. Walking into buildings, forget it. That's why I'm thinking a wall sound or text.If this hasn't been done before I learn how, which, face it, may be some years, I'll do the coding, hopefully with help. lol. this sounds like one huge project!Maybe it won't happen, I don't know, but like I said, I'm going to be learning to program, and I've been making a list of projects, I get very clear ideas, refined over time. Why not have this be added to the list?

iiiwww. ok. thanks for the advice everyone. Still get viruses through that thing and then I find out it's not even accessible? [[wow]]. I don't really know how to get to safe mode with win 10, I might have to have my mother help me uninstall the blasted thing. does defender auto take over if I have no third party antiviruses? then I can try to redownload. sigh.

I would ignore the antivirus thing if you all told me to, that's fine. but is there a way for me to get the thing to install the rpg.exe? I have uninstalled and reinstalled manamon twice lol. And growls, I can't even uninstall avast accessibly, so can't even take that out of the picture temporarily if that indeed is the problem.

It's not windows defender. it's avast. And  it gives errors right after downloading and then when trying to play. I downloaded the version I had about 6 months ago. I hadn't stayed current because I'd just been on the demo and hadn't known the game had updated. but now I bought the game and it told me to update when I passed the first stadium.

Has anyone downloaded the latest version of manamon? It's being seen as a threat by my antivirus, and it's giving me an error at the end of installation, which sounds like it can't find a particular file. I'm a bit miffed at this, because I've bought this game not too long ago, and I've gotten to a point where it said to get the latest version to use some features. now I've uninstalled my old, safe version to get this one. Vipmud help

Hi Everyone, I have recently switched to using  vipmud,  and I have loads of questions about its use, which the manual doesn't seem to cover. Cosmic rage sound pack,  which I have had checked by another player, and I've put everything in the right place,  haven't seem to be working for me.  Also, I want to know how to make slightly more in depth triggers. Maybe even learn some of the scripting for Vip.  Is there a more in-depth guide for it, or an email list or any other help anyone can offer?  Thanks, Blake

beatstar pro pack folder?

Hi,I have decided to try my hand at making a soundpack of my own for beatstar pro. The guide says to put a folder with the name of your pack into the soundpacks folder, which is supposedly in the games folder. Problem is, I cannot find a games folder anywhere within my beatstar english folder, or the appdata\roming\orielgomez folder. Can anyone tell me the path I need to put my files in? I've already started making loops for levels. Thanks in advance,Blake

Thank you for that. I uninstalled the hole thing like you said, then reinstalled sarah. Was still having different problems without the patch, so I followed my gut and reinstalled that too. Hi everyone,I've just bought sarah and the castle of witchcraft. I downloaded the patch as recommended, but ever since I did, it's been freezing, not responding, and sometimes it takes NVDA or Jaws out with it. It happens a lot just outside the broom closet, outside the staff room, and generally everywhere with object navigation on. Before the patch, it ran fine on the demo mode and never froze or crashed. Any help, and if not, please, does anyone know how to lose the patch. I'd rather go with the older version than not be able to even get past the broom closet unless I apperate into it.that's just not working.Thanks in advance,Blake

That's probably it, the location. Are you supposed to put it just in documents\vipmud, or the name of the mud? For instance it has a folder for cosmic rage in there. I wondered if the pack should go inside cosmic rage or not. same with other muds.

Hi everyone,Certain threads on this forum have convinced me to try out vipmud. I have a problem that I don't think is normal. Vipmud is not playing any sounds, even the soundpacks that are already built into it are not working. I've also downloaded two different other muds' soundpacks, with no luck. No errors or anything, they simply don't play.Any thoughts?

Hi everyone, I'm on 6dragons, and trying to get the msp for mush client to work. Only catch is, my mush client is in a mushZ folder in my documents. I've followed the directions in help mush, and it's still giving me the default windows 10 error noise each time a sound is due to play which is annoying because of combat and getting an error sound every time a wagon passes by. Any help is appreciated,Blake.

My foot in the door? Rp.

Hi everyone, 2I used to play Dragons of myth, and I RPed there. But the thing is, literally anything gooes. I wrote story characters and tested them out in Dragons of myth. But with other games, especially muds, the mud has its own ideas about how your character should be. My question is, if I wanted to pick RPing back up, but don't know how to jump in on muds, where do you all think I should start, where I don't have to make an extensive prophile, but where I can sort of relearn how to do it, but with maybe less complete freedom. My problem when I've tried is that I have never seen people RP on the mud in question so I don't know how I should act to be in character. When they introduce rules, I fear I'll break them.Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have that kind of problem with most muds. I'm probably pretty inexperienced, but the only two muds I've found something to do in are Alter Aeon and Aardwolf. Every other mud, I got spat out of mud school and into a strange town with no directions. I've gone through countless muds, destined, it seems, to live in mud school. I'll have to try erion though.

Since I tried to help my friend I don't have it either so I can't get on anyways to catch him. ANd the weird thing is, when I updated my version it worked fine. it's just when you first install it.

I can't fine either of those in my mush z folder. I also tried just updating again, and it keeps saying cannot write new version for all 135 files. it's quite spammy. LOL.

Hi,I have tried to introduce a friend to alter aeon, downloading mushz for her twice. The second time, I had someone on the zt channel on alter aeon itself give me a link to give her, with the same result. Stupidly, I uninstalled mine and downloaded it from the link I was given, to see if it was her computer or the a setting she had wrong but it wasn't. It happened to me too. Now I have no mush Z either. In hindsight I know I should have asked on here in the first place. When we download mushz from alteraeon's mush z page, it starts off fine. Then, when it is updating, it goes through each and every sound plus I think some other files and says: "cannot update blank. cannot write new version." it does that through the whole update, then says that it looks like your version is already up-to-date. We click close, then when we launch mush z it gives about two errors, both about audio. I think one of them is lua audio cannot be found. Then it just says alter a
 eon edit, without any sounds or any text. we've tried typing things into it, but it says nothing and does nothing. Connection menu says we're connected. I'm 90% sure that something is wrong with the official download. Are there any alternative links to mush z we can try? I wanted to get this word out, because things seem fine when you already have mushz. It updates fine. it's just the installer or a newly installed version that is bad.Thanks.

cursor keys and non-internet games

Hi all.The internet atmy house has been down for the last three days, and I think its going to be non-existant for a while. Thus, Ive been hunting for a game I could play on my windows 8 computer, that takes no internet, as I usually play muds. Ive combed the gamelist, and found a fun-seeming puzzle game, sound puzzle... but to move the sounds around, you need to use the Cursor keys. I cant figure out what those are. I feel like Ive tried al the keys n my keyboard and I havent touched the sounds. Can anyone tell me which specific keys to use for sound puzzle, or let me know of more either puzzle, word, or maybe fantasy games, besides entombed, that take no internet and are free? Im at a different house with internet for the day, so if replies are later than today, I will miss them, but I will definitely get back to them.
