@JaydeI have a few questions regarding your written guide for Manamon I'd like to ask:1. Why is the Location and description of the Manamon Breeder not in the guide?I am asking because you explained the arcade and telephones in the guide, but not the breeding and the mechanics behind it.2. I remember reading that at first you can't do anything with a damaged statue in Mineruff Tunnel and that you should later revisit this area.I however am sure that the guide doesn't explain further what you might later do with the statue and when (in the storyline)  this would be possible.3. I also think, but I might be wrong here, that someone back in this Topic said that you would have to revisit the belltower at some Point after you first beat the bellmaster and after you get your own Chingle.If this is inded true, shouldn't this also be mentioned in the guide at whatever Point it might become relevant?I am asking bec
 ause as far as I know it, your guide seems to be nearly complete with only a few things possibly missing from it.Thus it would be nice if you can complete it so that all relevant Information are in a better Format than being totally scattered through this rather huge Topic.

I am glad to hear that a new installer will come out soon.There is a very good reason for this.I experimented with a fresh copy of BK3 just for update testing purposes.When I ran the 1.40 Version for the first time, I was asked if I wanted to update to Version 1.62 directly with no steps between.However I was able to manually copy the bkup.exe and look into ist Contents.This file only has the updated Play.exe.However the bkup.exe posted in this Topic on dropbox also contains a modified maps Folder, because it is patch 1.60.But if I Launch an 1.40 Version and directly update to Version 1.62, this means that no updates to the maps Folder a made, even if the 1.60 patch expliciedly contain a modified map Folder.I hope that a full installer will solve this Problem for the foreseable future.

I got the Translation myself now.I would like to tell you all some things:1. the Version 1.62 update can be downloaded even if you don't have the Translation addon.Apparently the update can't be installed if the Translation is present.2. The dropbox link in the mentioned post 17 links to the patch to Version 1.60!This is not Version 1.62, at least according to history.txt.Thus you can't use it for a Manual update to Version 1.62.3. For the Moment I can also confirm some game breaking bugs and other smaller issues for when the Translation is in place:- using strateghy items might cause a game Crash with error 7.- Atempting to store or take out items in the item warehouse causes another Crash with error 7.- The descriptions of some weapons is in the wrong order, meaning that the Name of a weapon is spoken correctly, but the description is not the right one.I currently don't have efull examples, but
  I think some weapon got wrongly described with the attributes of one of the needle launchers, allthough the weapon in question was not the said needle launcher.Attention!Switching back to Japanese won't fix the game crashes!If you update to Version 1.62 without placing the Translation file into the game Folder, you won't get many Errors for common things like using items or going into the warehouse.

I tried the demo and I will do so again if I can figure out the Grey Lady.So far, the game sounds interesting and I will consider buying it.About the game development discussion:What I don't get is why no one has made their own "Audio Unity".This obviously is a nickname.I know that this community has visually impaired members or people who were sighted once and then lost it later in their lifes.I know that especially most audio game companies are small like the small mainstream developer teams compared to big game companies.But I think that because development groups are small or one man deals, we should have our own game engine which would make development easier, because not every part of the game would be needed to be written line by line.I know that audio game development goes back years.And even in the time we started, mainstream games were obviously ahead.What I don't get is why it is seemingly h
 ard to get to a point where they were years ago, because I know that we are behind and can't catch up in a short amound of time.I mean really, everyone probably knows Doom and Quake (first titles, not later games) at least by Name or reputation. And this is obviously only PC related.But how old is the Final Fantasy series?That supposedly was a hit years ago and still seems to be.But I have never seen any Kind of audiogame let's say comparable to Final Fantasy 7 or 8.Or fighting games like Metal Gear, Mortal Combat or Street Fighter.And don't even think about games the size of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt or World of Warcraft, where we have bigger developer Teams and lots of post release Content, paid and free.But if I am right, official game developer or modding tools existed and I think I remember reading that lots of mods for Doom 1 and Quake 1 were published in a time where not everyone had internet and those who did used modems
  and not DSL.Yet people managed to create (for that time) high quality content and could share it.But since many sidescrollers use similar principles, I still wonder why there is no accessible engine for creating such games with some kind of audio/TTS powered level editor.I mean, if we have developers who can code such things for example in BGT, what stopps such people making their own audio game engine and sell it like any other program or tool out there?I know only of two engines, but I do not know what they actually can do.I mean the GMA Engine, which is not something you can simply buy of the shelf like their games.I know only that it is something which relies on the developer writing lots of code, despite being some Kind of engine or maybe library. I don't know if it actually has any form of level editing tools.Then Draconis made something for the release of Silver Dollar and t new Change Reaction so that it could be released on mu
 ltiple platforms.And then there is the Genesis Project from USA Games, but whatever Version exists, it is probably still in development and thus currently not released to the public@assault_freak: Since you know lots of things regarding Japanese mainstream and audio games, I would like to ask you if you know what the program/Tool known as HSP actually does.I know that BK3 was made with it, but I do not know if it is like BGT, a programming language/IDE, or if it is actually some kind of game engine in which level design is possible through some kind of level Editor and not via creating your levels the old fashioned way.I think this is enough, since this topic is not really about development tools, but about a game of which I don't know if it has any kind of replay value.

I remember.But I don't know why this tool was so bad.I know that it was announced and then the release was delayed I think.And wasn't there a fire in the building the developers worked or something?And I don't know if the fire caused massive damage to their work and if this was why they canceled the Project and released the last "stable" Version.I think this probably was more like an Alpha or beta Version, but never a finished product.But why no other atempts for public release were made is beyond me.I also don't know why the GMA Engine even if it might be "only" extensions and libraries isn't on sale for the public like the games are in an onlineshop, while the GMA Engine might be only optained on request via direct contact.There isn't a Thing like a demo or even a page which tells what the Thing is and what Features it has or how to contact them for Information or Business talk.

@assault_freak:You actually can win 18-4.Currently, there should be one way to win without cheating.If your game is up to date, you should be able to buy a weapon called "crack man" in the stage 13 shop.This is basically a super powered Version of the "interceptor Missile".This weapon can be turned on and off in the flight Levels, where weapon usage is allowed.One crack man will reflect exactly one attack back at whatever fired it.If you go into 18-4 and the battleship fires a cruise Missile at you, you can activate crack man and the Missile gets redirected and will hit the battleship, doing more damage than the cruise Missile would do to you.I think one hit kills the battleship, no matter which difficulty you are at.You can successfully end the Level, but then you get a message telling you that the alternative Scenario is not ready yet.The Level will end, but nothing changes.I am currently unsur
 e if this ending unlocks stage 19 as well as the normal ending would do, because I tested this with my save file in which I had already beaten all game modes.I can't tell you much about what the alternate Scenario entails, but I know some Information but Keep in mind that they are subject to Change.1. The alternate ending of 18-4 will unlock an alternate stage 19.2. Alternate 19 is supposed to contain flight Levels.3. Somewhere within the stage you will receive bombs which you have to use in the Levels to blow up ground Targets.4. It is possible that winning the new stage 19 might unlock a different stage 19 shop with more sky racer items.5. If the alternate stage 19 is won, you go to the Caves in stage 20, but  at its end you have to fight the undeath hate meaning that in this mode the current stage 20 would be replaced with the current stage 19.6. It should be possible to return to the original stage set by going back to 18-4 and
  ending it the original way, e.g. to be defeated and blown up by the battleship to go through stage 19 and fight it again in 20-4.

For the Yoyo:If I remember correctly, you Need to have beaten 16-4 once and you must have collected the items laying around especially the one the Boss Drops when it is destroyed.Then you must land in one of the two Locations in 6-1 and 6-2.I think it is 6-1.Then you must go to the end and see a Switch.If you press enter, you will be asked if you want to press the Switch or not.If you say yes, the Switch will be pressed, you will hear the Sound of the yoyo and the stage will end.If you do this before you optained the item from 16-4, you will be unable to press the Switch when you answer the question with yes.If the Level ended the way I described, you can go to 15-1 and press the T key.There you get a Level specific menu.But If you did everything right there is one more Option to drop a yoyo.If you select it, it will fall down near you, like when you command medkits to be dropped near you.You should collect th
 e weapon quickly, because I think enemy fire could destroy it.And then you must fight the Level until it Ends.Since there are no Exits, ist conditions must be fulfilled to Keep the weapon.If it gets destroyed or if you collect it and die, you must return to 6-1 and press the Switch again, because the yoyo can only be dropped once per usage of the Switch.For the Hyper Yoyo:I am not sure if any Special conditions are required for it to apear, but I think that the Player must have the Yoyo and the Super Yoyo.If you then land again in 6-1, it should lay on the ground somewhere between your starting Point and the by now familiar Switch.Mind the glass walls and be careful not to destroy it when you want to remove the obstructions with your weapons though.The Undeath Hate:It is the Boss of the Caves which are in stage 19.You will automatically fight it when you are ready to Play 19-4.If you are very high Level and have lots 
 of strong weapons you can destroy it directly.If not, be Aware, that normal weapons will help to end the first part of the battle, but a different Approach is needed for the second part of the battle, but it is possible to end this rather quickly, even if this is your first Play at normal mode, beat this modspecial items from Bonus Levels or extra Shops are unavailable and obviously not required, allthough they might help later on.Gravity Killer:It can be optained by fighting the battleship in 20-4.I am not exactly sure when the weapon is released but you will Need the weapon carrier to get it, since you are in the air in your plane when it Shows up.What I know is that it will apear only in higher game modes.If you are playing 20-4 for the very first time in normal mode, it is impossible to optain the weapon.Originally, the dial of 18-3 was required because you had to set it to the correct number, but if I remember correctly, this requiremen

Hayden,If you got the key in 10-4, you should revisit 1-1.Go into the first room and prepare to look around and then you will Need to climb up once you found the Location.There is an object above you.There is where the key is for.And whatever you might want to try out, do not destroy the object and and dont atempt to take whats left afterwards.You wont like the consequences.I am saying this here,because on the ground, there is an object which Needs to be destroyed and the Contents can be taken, not so on the second object.Only the key will work.If the key is used, you will automatically get what is hidden inside.It is a weapon.

I am in contact with Yukio.I Helped him by reporting Errors I found and by providing data for some error reports where it was necessary to Export several combat logs and object lists.He told me that it is planned to make it possible to get an alternate stage 19 in the future if the 18-4 Boss is beaten there.Currently nothing happens except you win the Level if you do it now.But in the future you will get four new sky racer Levels in stage 19.And if you looked into the weapon advisor, you will see that you can possibly get all weapons except one.This weapon is named particle bomb and it is currently unavailable.But the Moment the alternate stage 19 is released this weapon will be available for the sky racer.Then you will have to fly and attack ground Targets with bombs.If you go that route in the game the Levels of the current stage 19 will take the place of the current stage 20.Since the refenge battle is then unavailable
 , because you beat the Boss in 18-4, the Levels of the original stage 20 are then not there.But you will be able to Switch between These two paths as far as I know.Yukio himself is not sure when this Feature will be released however and no release date is set for this.At the Moment smaller changes and bug fixes are still in order.I also would recommend that no one uses the clone Generator (if you already have it) on objects.Cloning enemies seems to be totally stable.But with Version 1.58, making copies of objects is bugged in the way that the result is never what you want with few exceptions.The next update will fix that.It will probably have more bug fixes, but I dont know them all.But I reported the issues with the clone Generator, so I know about them at least.

There are two secret landing Points in stage 18.One is in 18-3.If you land there, you will find a dial and nothing else.The dial can be set from 0 to 9.If you set this dial, the landing area in 18-2 will Change according to what the dial is set to.If the dial is set to 0, 1 or 2, you will walk on metal and will be able to collect red paint and sharp thorns.Maybe there are some nuts as well, but I am not sure about that.The items are stationary, and wont respawn if you pick them up.If you move to the right a bit and if you collected everything this Level will automatically end.If the dial is set to 3, 4,5 or 6 you will get into a Location where lots of items fall down.You can pick things up en masse and it only Ends when you go to the right and Exit through a door.You will hear some Kind of Musical note before the door Closes with which you can verify that you are in this mode.The set of falling items con
 tains many things, but if you want to build blue lights or the clone Generator, you should use this mode for collecting lots of things the parts for said items included.If you set the dial to 7, 8 or 9, you again will find falling items.However this time the set of available items is different.As far as I know this stage is comparable to the item collecting Mission in 12-4, but in 12-4 items are already there while in the 18-2 they are falling.Here you will also find things you Need for building other items and weapons.This Level also Ends when you go through a door, but this time it Closes without another Sound before you hear the closing Sound.This is the way to tell the two modes apart.Setting the dial will have effects on other Levels as well.As far as I know it will alter the layout of 19-1 with different items or weapons in that stage, possibly the hidden items in 20-1 and 20-2, what you find in the secret landing Point within st
 age 14 and it will alter the secret room in 7-1, allthough the Passwort stays the same.I do currently not know every dial settings effect on the Levels mentioned here at the Moment.But what I know is that the dial set to 8 will make the huge iron pieces apear in 19-1.In stage 20, there is the paintball gun and the third laser sword (have forgotten ist Name).In 19-1 you can also get the vulcan gun and a spin sword.In 7-1 the dial alters what you can fight and which items said enemies leave you.And in the landing spot in stage 14 you will find the giga laser bolt, the hyper and Ultra sniper rifles.If you want the rocket launcher you get to use in 15-4, you have two Options.1. You collect lots of huge iron pieces and build it in the stage 16 Shops.Or you wait until you have beaten the game at least once.Then you get Access to four Bonus Shops and there you can buy the rockets for a really low Price.You can on
 ly buy death rockets there which you cant build yourself.You got one death rocket for usage during the first part in 21-4 to clarify that Point.

The normal part of 7-1 stays the same.But once you have the Password you can enter a secret room.In that room you have to fight something.I have forgotten at which Setting of the dial the room Contents Change.But if I remember correctly, it can get dangerous quickly.I think that the Default Setting is 0.At that you have only one enemy to fight.But when the dial is changed you get a large Group of insects and I am not sure but they might be stronger than the Monsters of stage 7 and 8.As far as I know, the dial doesnt alter the secret landing spots of 6-1 and 6-2, only the one in 14-3 (I think it was there), and the one in 18-2.And I know for certain that 19-1 is altered.Probably 19-3 as well, but since there is nothing to collect or fight until you come down to the ground, I am not entirely sure.And I think that 20-1 and 20-2 are altered, not the layout however, but what you get if you can find some places in t
 he stages to use C4 for.Some places can be blown up and then items or weapons may drop there (third laser sword and paintball gun).Note, paintballs must be made in the stage 16 shop and if you havent unlocked Gold coin collecting help, you must set the dial to either 0, 1 or 2 in 18-3 to collect red paint from 18-2.BBoth places require you to land your sky racer.It has recently become possible to win 18-4, if you buy the crack man Missiles in the stage 13 shop, allthough at the Moment nothing Special happens if you win.You will destroy the battleship and the stage will end regularly (havent tested this if stages are still locked, e.g. if a game mode isnt beaten yet).If all stages are unlocked, nothing Special will happen.Killing the battleship in 18-4 will still Permit the 20-4 battle.However killing the battleship in 18-4 wont release the gravity killer.This weapon must be optained in 20-4.In the future it will have consequences if 18-4 is won and the game Play will be altered, but not in the current Version of the game.

Gold coin collecting help is a Kind of an alternative game mode.As said before you Need to be at or over a certain Level, before you can Access this Feature.It can be found in the Extra menu which apears once you have beaten the game at least one time.If all conditions are met, you can go into the menu for Gold collecting help.Then you have three Options:1. Endless modeIn this mode you have several Options.All Options selected here will create a Level which lasts as Long as you want.To Exit, there is a door to the right end of the field.You can use this mode for two Basic purposes.You can fight Monsters or bosses.You are asked how many you want to fight at once.If you kill one, another takes ist place automatically.The second Group of Options Drops or places certain items.If you collect one, another apears.Here you also select the number.You can collect Gold coins or Stone fragments for
  example.You can fight security carts, bears, the burner and the fire extinguisher for example.2. Challenge modeIn this mode not all Options from endless mode are accessible.It primarily deals with the fighting Options from above.You select how many Monsters of a type you want to fight.Then the Level starts.The Level lasts until you die or if you have killed your objective.Monsters dont respawn.However if you fight slimes, they probably can split.And what happens if you fight enemy Containers in challenge mode I actually dont know, since the Container moves around until it Releases Monsters, but at that Point the Container itself is always gone.After the fight is over you can see some statistics and a score.You can post the score for challenges.3. see online high scores (only for challenge mode)This is sorted by challenge and I think by game mode as well.I hope this Explanatio
 n helps.But you should be Aware that the instant translate addon gives the Options in Gold Collecting Help strange names.An example would be I want to see the end of the world which would be the Option to fight the Biocontrol System in this mode.It is possible to fight ten of them like you could do in BK2 with the Bonus stage in which you could fight several search and destruction robots which were the final Boss in this game.There are two other things you should know.1. You wont find an Option to fight the unknown energy from 25-5, because it is a passive entity.2. You cant fight the Life Burner, because the maps used in Gold Collecting Help do not have any platforms, which would make it nearly impossible to avoid the Clear Burn attack, which 25-5 has.This is the reason why such an Option simply isnt available.I also dont know if ten or more Life Burners would Crash the game if they fired their clea
 r burn attacks at the same Moment, because this attack is its own object and even one Life Burner fires them in waves like a machine gun fires lots of bullets in seconds.

I have looked at the demo and at the manual, but what I was unable to figure out is how certain things are supposed to work in this game.I get it that you can free prisoners to become your minions.But how does this works.I break a prison door down with whatever weapon I have, but what then?Will all freed prisoners follow me automatically while still in the prison, or will they automatically exit the stage before the main player character does it?And if I get some party members, how do I missions with them?What can I order them to do and what is computer controlled?And while I played the demo for several times, I was totally unable to get other weapons than knifes.Seriously, I was in the weapon shop for over five minutes and I killed lots of people and I got lots of ammo for a pistol, but I was totally unable to get said weapon itself.Is this a demo limit, or am I doing something totally wrong here?About the entire 
 audio vs mainsteream discussion:It is sadly true that audio games often are released, get some maintenance updates but are never expanded and then later get abandoned (Bavisoft, BSC Games etc).On the other hand, games like ESP Pinball Classic/Extreme for example were prime material for lots of expansions in the form of new pinball tables.Why Pinball extreme got only one expansion I never got.And why such games as Shades of Doom or the above mentioned ESP Pinball Extreme never got level editor tools released to the public for free or as a paid feature I also dont know.Imagine if we could have created our own tables for the pinball game or made our own mods/levels for Shades of Doom in the time when these games were first released..I havent played much with Paladin of the Sky and Adventure at C.  od idea for Psycho Strike, but we know that it is possible to expand such games.I also dont know why Paladin of the Sky is perhaps too minimalistic regarding sounds (environment, fights, your characters walking around), while this first version of Psycho Strike seems to have lots of good sounds but not a big story or not so many unlockable features at the moment.And like assault_freak I know of the Japanese audio games.What I dont know is how the Japanese developers can design games like BK3 or Shadow Line, release them for free and still manage to release content expansions frequently with high quality sounds and music without requiring the players to pay for the expenses of the developers.On the other hand, the non Japanese audio game developers release their games and put updates out, but most of these games dont get this high amound of content updates regardless of whether expansions would be free or paid.And if good sounds and mu
 sic are expensive, how come that the Japanese developers manage to create their work without charging $50 per game while some game companies who put out several paid games still seem to be using the same sound or music sets/sources in their titles or the same style of gameplay?Why are only the Japanese sidescroller/RPG games filled with over 100 individual levels/stages to play (BK2 and BK3) with the possibility of more to come later?If BK3 was a paid game, several content updates apart from bug fixes could have been expansions like the DLC characters in mainstream fighting games, more unlockable features or new levels or missions.What I dont get is why most commercial audio games are not designed in a way which makes it easier for the developer to add content later on?However I think I know why this is.I personally think that BGT as a programming language specially designed to work best for audio game creation is a good starting point, but if we 
 look closer at what is actually delivered with it I start to ask some questions.For Example, BGT has the ability to be used to compress your game data (e.g. sounds and music) into a special encrypted archive format.But if the archive format remains the same except the encryption key/password, then why doesnt BGT ship with a universal pack creator/extractor?Did everyone who made free or paid BGT games write his or her own Pack creator to create their data files themselves?What I mean is that mainstream games often are created with game engines which do lots of tasks in the background but simplify game creation in the end even for sighted people.If a 3D world is used for example, you would have some kind of level editor where you could move around a part of your world with a virtual camera and place objects, enemies or other NPCs with a few clicks.If the world is complex, this is better than to design the world in your scripting language line 
 by line.I think our community would need such an engine which would probably help.We partially have seen how audio level designing tools would work (2D Platformer or Adventure at C:).Imagine to have

There might be a bug with the different needle weapons you can build in the stage 16 shop.And there is a nasty bug with the item master in all Levels which have more than one door.We will have to wait for a fix, but I informed the author about the item master problem already.

There might be a bug in stage 16 shop.When you want to build any of the needle launchers you need three launchers of any type to build the next type.But some of the higher level launchers probably cant be made right now because you always get a message stating that you dont have enough launchers of the previous type, even if you have more than three currently.This might be bugged.Either that or it is actually more needed than three in which case the information you get before atempting to make a weapon is wrong.

I was told to not go after it by the developer because there might be a critical bug in either the usage of the weapon or finding or getting might be not working correctly.I have all currently known weapons except the javelin and I beat all game modes a while ago after months of going through all of them.

What exactly happened to the MTG Studios Website and the Scrolling Battles repository with user created Content?And while we are at it, what is the Status of Crime Hunter, 2D Adventure and the 2D Platformer?Such games like Scrolling Battles and the 2D Platformer had integrated update checks which failed once the Primary MTG Studios site went down without any News in this Forum except for the users who also found the site gone with no Explanation.

I dont know how far you got with 2d Adventure or Crime hunter, since publicly available Versions were more like concept Demos than completed games.Thus I cant know how far you developed them since you published the early Versions.However, Id like to see more of Crime Hunter, 2D Adventure or the 3D Platformer Project if possible.And finally Id like to ask if you also could post the user created Content from the former Scrolling Battles repository, since it is impossible to tell if I got everything, since your original site is obviously down.I didnt check that place every day, so I might have missed some files there.

Could someone please be so Kind and explain the entire Audio vs Video game Thing?I know that the first part of Inquisitor can be bought as a Video game and an Audio game.But where do you buy the Video game Versions of chapters 2 and 3?And why is everyone only refering downloadable Versions when there also should be DVD Editions with extras?I know this because some parts of the Inquisitor site, not www.audiogame.it have a bigger online shop.But exactly that part of the site is only in Italian, allthough the DVD Versions should have English Audio, like the digital Downloads for Computers and mobile devices.
