There is one tiny little trick with colored flowers. That is that you only need to actually remember 4 out of the 5 flowers, which may make your job easier. The game automatically ends when all 5 flowers are in their place, so if you remember the first 4, you can just spam the last one until the game completes.

@op I was gonna write this long post about how this is what being a dev of anything really is like and all the reasons why and a bunch of examples and stuff, but I'll just shorten it down to this. You should get used to it if you want to develop applications. You just gotta learn to filter out the bad and enjoy as much of the good as you can. I think you had to learn that lesson a bit early by first releasing something like this, but you may be better off for it. You can't please everybody. So guys, this is *NOT! a virus. I can tell you exactly what happened. Basically I got a chat from Adel I think on April fools. They wanted my help writing this little joke of a program that would pretend to give source or whatever, but would in reality just write some sort of useless file as a simple joke. I didn't have much to do so I was like yeah ok whatever sure. So I just spent like 2 minutes writing this random code snippet that showed a couple alert boxes and slowly wrote random bytes to a file that didn't mean anything then exits. I just wrote it out of bordum and sent it to Adel to do whatever they wished to do with it, as it wasn't harmful what so ever. I do think that codev is a bit of a strong word though, as I was never really involved. I just wrote a bit of harmless code for someone because they asked. I do think, however, that the proper thing to do would have been to release the code at the end of April fools rather than in the middle of July when it was long over with and forgotten.

I am vastly improving the AI though, your not supposed to lose the game with no control when you pick up a possession, bad powerups sure but not powerups that give you no chance. Right now when you pick one of those up you pretty much turn it into a pig game where if the dice just happens to role a 1 the game is over and no amount of skill can save you. I may add some kind of way to break out of possession if you really want so if you think you are about to die you can try to save yourself.

So what happens is it only looks for a troll within 15 tiles of it, I'll change that and it should be way way better with dealing with trolls. The other thing that really confuses the AI that will be harder to fix is when it is waiting behind a cactus and a zombie comes traipsing over to it to take a nice bite, it then swings at the zombie, which also destroys the cactus, then the troll comes and kills it. But I will greatly increase the range of looking for cacti and trolls so it doesn't stupidly chop down the cactus while a troll is on the map.

Alternatively, I could easily make a key that repeats the last thing spoken if that would make it easier for some people. About the larger map size, we could, but I've found that if we do this, the field quickly becomes sparse and you can survive for 20 minutes for lack of entities in a given space.

Unfortunately I have no other ideas as to why you are getting this error. If you haven't, attempt to disable your antivirus and see if that makes it go away. The error you are getting has nothing to do with my code, and thus it is very difficult for me to help you debug. All I can do is give educated guesses about the internal workings of python or pyinstaller. As I said, I think the most likely culprit is your antivirus, because the game extracts files to a temporary directory to run. In a way the executable you run is a self extractor that extracts a couple hundred small files into a temp dir then executes the proper  code. Try disabling your antivirus then running it and see if it works

@Turtlepower, There is going to be a powerup called insecticide. When you get it, for 15 seconds if you get within 3 tiles of a cactus or bat or mosquito, it will spray them with insecticide and destroy them automaticly without you having to do anything. Maybe I will even make insecticide slow down trolls for a few seconds or something.

When you run the application, other files are extracted to a temporary directory that you don't see right away, it may be these that are getting deleted. @redfox, is your traceback the same as freds?

haha yeah they could be! @fred, I have never heard of this before. I'm not sure but it could maybe be the issue. When you launch the game, it extracts the files needed for execution to a temp directory. If your AV is deleting files from that directory before the game starts, That very well may be what's up.

I wonder if somehow some antivirus is deleting a game file before it has a chance to start, similar with what was happening with BGT games. I'm not sure really where to begin debugging this error as you seem to be the only one getting it. What antivirus are you using? Also, as to bats, the trick is to time your jumps right. There is a demo in my anyaudio recording I posted above. Also, you don't need to get them but risking it gets you a lot of points. Yes, zombies can catch you in the air, you can not jump them.

@defenderOnline mode will be completely optional, you won't have to use it what so ever if you don't want. Also, it's not a constant map like redspot or stw, it's more like a room system similar to RS games or the playroom, the central server would exist for the only reason being that you wouldn't have to forward ports to play, thus there will be no need even for administration sans making sure people don't use crashwords or something in usernames, there probably won't even be a chat system. It's mostly just for friends to be able to play together, without having to forward ports to do so.

Hi. @criss, good ideas for multiplayer! Yes I will probably create a centralised server. What was planned for multiplayer actually was that you and a team can all play on the same board at the same time. You could just have 1 team of players, or multiple teams. Or you could play solo vs another person playing solo. When a teammate picks up an item, the score of the entire game goes up not just for that player. At the end, the team who has the highest amount of points wins, or if you are playing just 1 team of many players, you can just see your final score at the end for fun. But your ideas are great, perhaps I'll add multiple modes so we can implement some of them! Defender mentioned the AI interaction. That's something I was also proud of when I made this, basically we have a entity system. Everything including the player is an entity. Because of this, adding multiplayer mode should be easy, because we already have targeting coded so the other entities will just go to the nearest player on the map.

Remember Oh Shit? Now we have Ah damn It! This game has existed on my hard drive for some time, I more or less took a break from all gamedev aside from cp for a while. Well, now I'm back I guess, and as a sort of Easter gift I decided to release an AS IS concept demo of Ah Damn it! Like Oh Shit, the idea is to take different concepts from Crazy Party and mix them all together to make an interesting game. There are zombies, trolls, ghosts that curse you, bats, even balloons! There are many more entities in this game for you to kill and that will try to kill you. The game is played from above, not a side scroller. All for python. As for converting data, that's extremely easy to do. All you need to do is write a BGT script that can decrypt the BGT data, get the keys or whatever, and write them to plain text, which python can then read and convert to your new format. If you wish I can write you a script that does that, but I think you can do it on your own as well  So that brings the cons to 2. Converting data should be very very easy unless you are doing things in an unheard of way

The sounds had to be unencrypted themselves because encrypting them was causing a massive performance degradation to the game. However, the sounds are in a dat file, they have been assembled that way. The license agreement states that disassembling the game is not OK. Extracting the pack file is most certainly disassembly and should not be permitted. The choice to not encrypt sounds was made because there was no alternative in BGT with LAV. Think of it this way. In order to get the encryption key, you must debug the application with a tool. Here you must also extract the dat file with a tool to view the sounds. It falls under the same category, disassembly. This is clearly forbidden in the license agreement.

getting to cold or to hot can cause you to die reguardless of your stats. Being hot increases your thirst very very fast. Being cold decreases your energy. One thing to say though. Just be logical with your clothing. Some people when they are hot just strip off everything to try to solve the issue that way. But that's not what you do. You just have to say, wear a t-shirt in very hot weather rather than a large jacket. Hi all. So I know I am popping up from out of the blue and I rarely check the forum anymore  but anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that redspot should, and I say should because relying on me for a timeline or anything like that is about the most idiotic thing you could do  redspot should, be back in a couple days with a rather cool client update. I fixed the bugs, but decided to take advantage of the down time by adding a few features, fixing some unrelated bugs, and enhance the clients abilities for more features in the future. As a result there will be a client update to go with redspot, and also, Connor Moser has given me permission to use his redspot handbook as redspot's main readme! So that's just a little of what's going on, I apologize for redspot

So, hi everyone. Yeah I know pretty random, I don't even remember when I posted here last. Lol. Anyway. 1. Ethin did indeed not fix the situation. I do not want to start a flame war here, however I do not wish to move forward unjustified. My accounts on NO-IP came back thanks to several people, not just Ethin's email, being sent. However, though the no-ip account came back, the services on that account were still disabled for some reason. So I was forced to do a domain transfer. And just an FYI, It took... 30 minutes. Yep. Not a month, or even 5-7 days. So basically, all I'm saying is that while it is true that Ethin apologized which I appreciate at least, it is not Solly his fault that the services are back. I just wanted to get my 2 sense into that situation, however with that being said, I will no longer talk about this situation publicly unless there is a very provoking reason to do so. 2. A way to start exploring the new maps. I won't give much
  away, because the people who spent great effort on these maps would kill me lol, and I think that it would ruin it for yall anyway. So first, make sure to use the /questlist and /questinfo commands to learn about quests that are available. /questaccept to accept a quest. If you didn't know these commands, that's a huge thing. And also, I will say this. From the mainland, there are things in every direction. So as people have suggested, start there. Then, just explore. Many maps are in all directions. about the adiction system, actually at least I believe that is how it works. It can take as little as 3 and a max of what, 50? cigs to get adicted, at least from what I learned in my health classes...

Well said in that last post akilor. First. About not listening or not responding to messages. Skype? 宝 name, live:skypename; Offline  not selected  566 of 566. it's like 8:40 AM and already, Today (7)  separator  1 of 9. That's just today and the day hardly started. Email? Keep in mind this is not knew, but this has generated sence very late 2013 and started getting crazy around last year. You have 6496 new messages. I get several a day including spam. And i'm a human. Sometimes I see the message, don't have time to reply then forget about it later. Come on, your not the only one that messages me. And I have school and my fair time off the computer. So there's why sometimes I don't listen or I'm not available etc etc. And now, for admins. We do, need examples, reguardless of how odviest it scemes to you what is going on. See, the thing is, admin accounts aren't supposed to technacly play the game and use the move command or what ever all the time. It's therefor map building or when a player needs help. Want it gone? Fine, but then don't compain when your stuck in the unknown area and no one can help you. See? That is just an example. Also with out that command, good buy all new maps from admins, allhelp when a player gets stuck, etc etc. So what discriminating. Please explain, and I will talk to the admins about it. Now the realistic stuff. If you want I can talk about in the new story about how there is a secret base someware. Radiation? Yeah I get that. The hospital is abandoned. I'm not going to sentence all my players to certain death by coing to the wrong map. Thus, no radiation poisoning. What vending machine bug? Wasn't aware there was one, or forgot about it.

I think I am going to add a timer. If you go offline you can't come back again for 5 minutes. I think that this is justified. If you have to go eat, use AFK. If you are done, you'll go offline and not come back for a bit. It would stop these fucking assholes from going offline every time they are about to loos and just coming back online. It's a stupid dick move and it's going to be stopped.

Hi. Yes, I will say that I probably wrote that MOTD slightly harsh, ok more than slightly and that wasn't the point. And i'm not doing it simply because I don't want people in the village. I did it to rase the games challenge, and make it a little hard to get more of the modern items. I don't want it removed, I just wanted to limit it a bit more. Now there will be way more compitition when it comes to getting items. I will say I find it a little meh when most of the game is milling about in the giftshop, but i'm not doing that purely to stop it. I agree that I need to come up with better reasons for the health los rather than just fire and radiation. I'm thinking a gass leak. I think it makes the game more chalenging this way. It's original name is survive the wild, and the reason that I am having everyone focus on the fishing village is because it contains so many modern items. I don't mind if people have them, I just want it hard to get th
 em. It makes people constantly have to stay on guard and be ready. I do apologize for the harsh MOTD, I agree that was quite overkill. Again not because i'm dictating how people play, hell at somepoint i'll probably add gass masks etc etc etc, but the point of the game is to not have 23000 grenades and 256000 water boddles. I will say I have a big inventory on the SamTupy character, but I usually don't play the game with that char. When I play the game I go on JohnDean, which I will say hasn't been done in a really long time. I should play on that char some more. But it's called survive the wild. Smoke's fact about the current war is a bit overkill, but kind of true. Trust me the story is being massivly updated to include more of this stuff, but I can only make a huge audio production like that so fast. My plan is that because of the bombings that happened in the fishing village thus the reason it was abandoned in the firstplace, there are many leaked g
 asslines which lead to random fires and random explosions. As for the bombs falling, people from the radiated city. They see people, automaticly think there residents of the village, and bomb it. Guys, I know that we need to solve this language barior thing, but even if I allow an admin to move players, it can be taken advantage of. Remember garret? He is a great example of what happened when I did what you guys want, a test. It really doesn't work that way. I always disregard emails about someone asking to be admin, and usually if someone asks, it sceels that, there not being admin. Unless it's someone I know who has played for a long time and who is not a cheater and I see very trustworthy, aka smoke-j etc. I can't just give this random person I don't know the ability to move any player. It's a very complicating situation for me. I added a really really buggy translator in the latest update which will be coming out as well as decreasing the speedhack alarms etc etc etc, but it's something that will have to be fixed very slowly, over a lot of time. I can't just set someone as admin as a translator. Look at ronald. I didn't wait long
  enough to see if he was trustable and look what happened. Guys, learn from the past. I know it has to be solved, but people saying over and over that I have to do... something... is not helping. You guys are the ones who want it fixed. Mind you, I do to. But then stop saying that hopefully I think of something, something needs to happen, yeah, what. Should I just ban all thai players? Course not but it's an example. You guys keep saying that something needs to happen, that I have to do... something. Well let me ask you a question. Yeah, I killed the server. I'm going to enjoy my time with my friend until July 16th. It's sad that hardly any of you understand that i'm not one of those people who sits on his computer 24 7 pleasing all of you. Because guess what, you never need to please me with crap. Also, looking back on posts, we do have a fiew issues right now, that slowly I am working on. The banning code will be worked on. I will be talking to philip benfall about ways to kill this well, issue with the server randomly crashing. Hi. One thing to keep in mind, this quest system is a very very early beta. By 1.0, admins will be able to make quests, and readable maps etc. I would have added more to the system, but you guys wanted the update so bad, and adding to much more to the update would introduce so many bugs that the update wouldn't be fun. Also aside from fixing broken things, don't expect anymore things like, oh, vending machines, drugs, an insane amount of stores in the fishing village... I will keep what I've added, but honestly, this game here is called survive the wild, and it's turning into, survive the fishing village. So expect a lot more survival elements, and expect things, even traveling by boat, to get much harder. I won't make the micanics that hard and I will keep the game playable, but it's getting more and more modern each update, something that must be fixed. So most if not all suggestions like moder boats or cars or marawana or another fishing village st
 ore, will be rejected. But if you have any suggestions on how to bring back the name survive the wild, i'm all for it. Again, not going to remove what I have, and the game will always be sort of sandbox stile, but i'm thinking of again moving the fishing village, like, a lot, lot, lot, like, maybe adding something rediculis like 10 or 15 full sized maps of ocean or something. This may piss some people off, but i've listened to to many modern suggestions, now for some wilderness suggestions... This is the reason I havn't bothered to make it so you can't steel coins out of vending machines, etc. Also, the story is being completely redone from scratch. There are a couple things still, like wyatt, for example, but most changed completely. So again, actual wilderness suggestions apreciated!

It is easy to make sound packs, just destroy for when something hits the object, hit when your object hits something, loop, your objects loop, pickup when you pickup your object, and throw when you throw your object. Name them as .ogg such as hit.ogg, put them in a folder such as deskchair or what ever your object is called, and put that folder in the sounds folder. Youc an then upload the pack as a zip file.

What I do is if there is a lot of items, grab one, throw it, then quickly grab another and turn twords another random item and throw it. It's pretty easy to clear the board.

Ok, here. Every stupid thing aside from things that got very personal, that i've done. Think of me what you must. So here. This is pretty much the mini story, and list of utterly stupid things i've done in the horor year of my life, 2014. I may get some utterly dumb responses, but so be it, it's off my chest now. You all know, and I don't have to think about weather to tell you, i'm not one of the only people who knows i'm not perfect or anything, so here goes. Ivan, you will get some blame hear, but you deserve it. Basicly I met ivan very late 2013. We would talk, and we actually became OK friends. I told him some personal information I didn't need spread. And boom! The torcher begins. He started threttoning me, saying that if I didn't do what ever he wanted me to do, everyone would know that personal information. I was very young, only 12 at this point and completely knew to the internet. We thought at that time, it was fun to
  spam people and well... that's what would happen. Ivan kind of pulled me in, turned me into his hench beast. I would end up writing scripts for him, and he'd give them to his friends who would give them to people. God do I ever hope these don't exist anymore. Ivan got me into some quite serious depression actually, threw all the bashing I got from him. Again, I have the recordings if anyone needs them. And that's what got me into all that bullshit. It got me to a point ware if I was pissed at someone? Make a script to spam the hell out of there dropbox, or make a script that deleted there documents or something. Really stupid stuff, most of it pressured by ivan. There was actually a point in that, not even my mom knows this, but I had a knife to my throat because of all the shit he did to me and made me do. At that point, I didn't see a way out of it, I guess I was just to stupid. It actually really effected my personallife. I had this depression until god,
  what, late 2015? After a while, by staying out of the loop, I got away from ivan's grasp. I still felt the effects of it. So, SVCHost. It was created yeh, for doing dumb shit with. I originally made it to hack colton hill. Why, I don't know. Probably the depression and me being a stupid fuck. It worked and I had control, though I really didn't do much. But the thing is, I still accessed it, so damn me raw. Then, the next thing that happened was storm. Yeh, for those of you who knew him and how he randomly vanished off the face of the earth at least from spamming and impersonating, that was me. He impersonated me so much that when i'd go onto a game, I was instantly thought to be storm and I was banned. For the past couple months i'd been telling him to stop, you name it, please, bribing, everything. For months. Nothing worked. So using SVCHost, I got into his box, did a couple things so he knew I had control, then got into a giant call of romanions, a
 nd storms mom got on, and threw translation, I told her that if he didn't stop, I would destroy the computer much as possible. She agreed to make him stop, and nothing else happened with that. I even self destructed SVCHost on that box. Again, just me being stupid. There were probably loads of ways to get around it, but even now I don't know many. Before the storm hack, I asked so many people including danny, steve, mason, so many damn people. They all told me to do it. RIght now even if didn't, heh. I wonder what the outcome would have been. I got so sick of coming onto games and no one knowing if it was me. Anyway, I made the choice I did, and no turning back from it. Everything beyond this, which really isn't much is completely purely personal, and unless people want to know what happened really bad, I don't wish to go into that. Now I have escaped from depression, and ivan soto's fucking grasp. I've been tempted to do a fiew things to him befor
 e, mostly when he hacked me, but never did. I've realised how dumb hacking and spamming was for a long while now. So, there. That's pretty much it. Theres something personal that happened that didn't really harm anyone that again I don't wanna get into that happened, but if I have to I will. That stupid powerhouse of a fucked up script SVCHost doesn't even exist anymore, and I don't wanna keep hacking anyway, havn't for a long while.

This SVCHost thing ivan is talking about does exist, one of the most stupid things i've made that doesn't even exist anymore. I did some really dumb things with it that I can't take back now, most of it way in the passed. If you guys want, i'll even post loads of recordings just so you can see how much of an idiot I was in those years. I wasn't originally going to say this and none of you believe ivan, but you deserve to know anyway. It was a really bad script that could do all sorts of dumb shit. It's gone now, but yeah. Back in 2014 before I could use my programming power maturely, I did all this shit, similar to what ivan did. I never stole anything, but it was similar. Figured I'd get everyone all psycho for the new update with this little thing, the completed change log! Slowly, work on the update is progressing. With all the shit that's been going on with OVH and blink_wizard and all this other stuff, haven't had much time to work on it. But slowly, but surely... New in 0.91.5Added an official rules and polocies document! Yes, finily, it's here, you can now reorder your inventory with alt + Up or down arrow! Did something to sounds that's needed to happen for well, quite some time now. Sounds now update when players walk. This has needed to happen for so long now. If you used voice chat and walked around, the position of your voice wouldn't change. Well, now it does! Fixed a bug with voice chat that allowed anyone to play any sound they wanted to reguardless of the length. Added cassette players! Cassettes can ocasionally be found at the gass station or the general store. Howev
 er, plan to add a music store to the fishing village. Note, when you use a cassette, the game may lock up for a couple of seconds while the file is downloading. Cassettes are stored serverside so I can add more with out needing to update the client. You are now able to write on paper with a pen! First interact your pen with a piece of paper. A new note will be created, and it will ask you for a subject. Enter something like, directions to gassstation or whatever. Once you have completed your note subject, the new item in your inventory will be something like SamTupy_note_directions_to_gass_station, replace SamTupy with your characters name. Then, get out your pen, and combine with that note. It will ask for a letter. Type in a letter, or a space or punctuation etc and you will hear the note being written to. Keep doing this until you have completed your note. Added an entire quest system! For now, quests are usually as simple as finding all the items needed in one place,
  to solve mystories etc. They arn't required. If you complete a quest, you will get stw_points, something you can not give or drop. There will soon be other ways as well to get stw points. You can build these up, and get items. Maybe teleporters or death free cards, but probably mostly things that arn't in the store. Now, making string only takes 10 grass, not 25. Now in some stores, it's possible to dig in trashcans! Just find one and press space on it. It's teedius and slow and you usually get paper or something, but on ocasion, you could find something useful! You'll need a shovel, but in the mining area, they are in abundence and in the future may have many uses. Just use the shovel on a trashcan, accessible with the m menu. Fixed like 99 percent of our annoying little look bug! There are now vending machines! Right now there is one outside the gas station that cells pop and protein bars, but there will probably soon be many more!
  Now speedhack protection is much much better do to a mini breakthrew I made, so to the admins? If there's a speedhack warning, it's 99 percent likely it's real instead of 25, and better yet? It detects in less than a second! Ghost fires have now been obliterated! Bullet proof vests now actually work like there supposed to! Hey cheaters, no more launching a flair and grabbing things faster than your supposed to. Also cheaters? Good buy to the exit prompt stay in the air loophole! You know how sometimes when you pressed enter to send your chat message and you'd randomly clap or enter the OOC prompt again? Or when you'd very quickly grab a grenade, close your inv and take a step to the left and miss? That has all been fixed now! Fixed a rather rediculis bug, enjoy connecting quite litterily exactly 250MS faster! Thank you garret Turner for telling me about the now fixed bug of receiving map data, coordinates etc 
 in raw packets. Added 5 more menu music tracks, just cuz I could. Fixed bike helmets. Now, only one version of stw can be open at a time, go die in a big black hole, stupid cheaters. Also cheaters, there is now antiproxy code. Just for fun, you can now get drunk if you can find a beer_bottle! Also there is the ability to smoke. If you smoke to much though you will become adicted and bad things will happen. Smoking a cigarrette temperarily gives you energy and stuff, but temperarily. You shouldn't really smoke much. Now, the survival_packs come with a pack of battories, which contains 15 battories. Have fun swinging around a wet towel like an idiot and trying to wak people! Alternatly use in water to get wet. It will stay wet for 5 minutes. Added the forestfire natural disaster! Added a couple of music tracks to the game thanks to Eric Matyas (soundimage.org). Now, tracking with the K menu is 3 dimentional, no more trac
 king tiles that are 200 squares above you!

Hi. I completely understand why you guys want this map released and your reasons make sence. Yes, the map is complete. The only sounds that arn't there is the quest sounds and cassette sounds. Not to mention, the connecting maps arn't complete. And no, I give my self no credit for this map, it is smokes. I did some cassette acting and that's pretty much it aside from the codework. And @jim, yes it does need coding still. The quest system isn't complete and nore are the connecting maps. I would give smoke J most of the choice, however the quest items already spawn there, and thus would have to be removed as well as connecting maps finished. I understand that you guys are excited, but though the core map is complete, there is still some stuff needing working on. I hope this makes sence. as ctiticview said, I want to release this update as a hole as well, not in a bunch of pieces. And yes, this map is tied into the quest thing as amine said. Again I apologize for

Well, niber. I had a reason for killing that guy. They finily got to feel a power greater than there own.  I get your logic behind me following my rules and stuff, but first of all I was using admin commands, and second of all, I wasn't killing anyone who was inisently playing the game with my stats. Serilusly people, this is really fcusterating, and niber, it's mostly you lately again, saying that oh, this doesn't work in bgt, that doesn't work in bgt... You just sceme to bring up a lot of negativity. Vlad is right, passwords and lots of stuff can be done in bgt, and until you know the language, I shall not listen to your feedback about what works with BGT and what doesn't. I'm currently working on an update for STW, so redspot might not have an update till next weekend, not to mension i've been deeling with a graduation, 5 of my siblings ge

Getting rid of horns. Heres the difference between poison drinks and stored health. When your poisoned, poison drinks both heal you and boost your health. Health boosts however don't do this. So yes they can sceme like just health restores and most people just use them, but if your smart and save one, it clears away the poison.

Hi vlad. The library is position music production. Guys, I am releasing a pretty nice update that will hopefully like all updates cut down on some lag and that adds a couple damaging things, also that makes people completely unable to impersonate me. If you need to, when developer SamTupy comes on, if you don't believe the developer part even though names can't have spaces, just type /isdev SamTupy and you'll get your answer. Now if i'm not running from source it may be a bit more difficult but whatevs. Hope you enjoy the new update!

Hi guys. So, I know theres been a lot of complaints about lag lag lag lag lag lag lag and let's just keep spamming the lag for the next 10 minutes because it's totally gonna fix the problem just by saying lag lag lag lag lag lag. 3 people have to say it and I get it. Lol. Anyway... I'm working on it. Ok, time to go off topic. Thank you hamata for actually considering other languages. I know I will always get critisized about using BGT, but teh point is, and i'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but unless you have used it  alot in your own, I repete your own, programs, you don't know how bad BGT is. And if you do, it's because someone just told you once and you then hate the language. I know i'm probably sounding a bit harsh. But BGT is not the reason for cheats. Yes, there are a couple things in bgt that suck in terms of secutiry, but guess what? It's not just bgt's bad and bgt's terible, you know the autoit language? Yeah, i'
 m sure a lot of people have used it. Well, currently the download page is down, but theres a script you can run, and all the code in the autoit language is decompiled to the original source. You can't do that in BGT. It's just an example guys. It's never the computer or what your using, that truely causes mass unsecurity. It's the person coding. Rather, it's everyone that codes. It's impossible to clear out all cheats. You know windows loaders? Oh, wait, windows isn't coded in BGT so... Heard of cheat engine that lets you speed hack and mod the variable values of a lot more than BGT? Yeah. With that i'll get off this, but please know that it's not BGT's fault. You know there is a way to get NVDA remote keys, right? I havn't done it, don't even know how, but i've scene it been done. And when I talk to the developer, they instantly blame it on my setup and security with out even giving as much as a glance at there code. 
 That's in python. So please, lets talk about issues with the game here, not about how just becaus i'm using BGT it's completely insecure which is a complete lie. Anyway, back to the lag lag lag lag lag lag lag lag lag. I'm doing all I can guys. Remember, this is just a beta. Please make sure you read the topic name. No, i'm not using it as an excuse, rather as a way to say hey, expect tuns of issues right now. It's a public beta. Anyway, I guess all I can say is i'm working on it.

Also stat pinggers can be a very useful item. Basicly, aim at someone even if there like 200 feet away, and fire it. You will then be able to if it hits, see the stats of the player you wanna fight. So therefor you know how to prepare.

So making a quick update to kill a couple of the biggest issues. Your suggestions sill be listened to, but by far, the biggest turn off scemes to be the background sounds. They are no directional, and much quieter at least if your far away. To avoid a rocket, as soon as you hear it's woosh sound, jump in any direction away from it and it will explode behind you. Update will be out in a couple minutes. Not to much but the sounds and a couple small things have been fixed, but it's being worked on. This is the first udpate of many.

Hi guys. I fixed most of that lag, it was actually teh server delivering item beeps. I switched those to unreliable packets, so while you don't hear every single item beep, the game is like 5 times less laggy. I'm also going to make some way whare you can either turn down global sounds, or limit there range.

Hi. Actually the only similarities from redspot to stw is the map system. Other than that it's completely different in keystrokes, and the game play, and sounds etc. Yes it's 3d, but in my opinion, the fact that STW is in 3d and this game is in 3d does not make this game STW PK. Yes, it will be free, but it's not surviving the wild. Also there are loads ore demos if you wanna view the topic to see them.

Yes ivan I completely see what your saying. Basicly you could get around this by stating in your docx that is is much easier, much much easier than in stw, to grab someones location and allow players to have a feature whare it is turned off. Of course being able to track from just the IP and the geolocale services that exist is a good one, but it's still kind of sketchy that you can Press enter on a name and grab the location in 200 ms. It's just slightly creapy because if I go on your game, i'm giving you my location in 2 seconds weather I like it or not. And no in stw there is not commands for me to view locations and people can turn off location tracking entirely meaning in game there is no way the game will ever request there IP address to the geolocale server. I's at least simply make it very clear that if people go on your game, you could have there location in 2 seconds if you decided to do anything about this. I am not trying to argue but again simply w
 ant to state my discomfert and feelings tward this decision and hopefully erge you to at least add a notice, and hopefully a way to make it so you can't see a players location.

Just a simple warning. While games can of course get your IP address and then the dev can track your location and everybody knows it, I wish nothing more but to state my discomfort in the fact that ivan has a menu in his game as a developer, i'm not sure if others can get access to this menu as well god I hope not, but when he goes into teh menu, he can click retrieve location of player x, and it geolocates and shows player X's location. I even have a recording of him doing this, and feel that I must simply state my discomfort about this. Anyway, See ya all.

Hi. @rtr assasson I get what your saying, and could consider making things a little bit easier. However... This still doesn't excuse the cheating that's going on. Any game this will happen to, but I get what you are saying. Also just curious what you mean by advanced feature. Basicly the only big limit is 100 of an item in your inventory at once, as well as a couple other things, such as the gifts. Only curious. I will keep your suggestions in mind. also @ivan, I do make money from the stw store, but if people cheat, I won't make more. If I don't make more, the VPS goes bye bye along with stw. Also, it's not that I don't listen to people, I just ignore the people who say that this is stupid and that there leaving the game with out any reason/explination aside from the fact that money rases a limit now. If someone says a valid reason for not liking it, i'll listen. And if you look in one of my previous posts you'll see that I indeed said I wo
 uld be willing to possibly change limits a bit/pricing/what ever, but an agreement would have to be made before I could even consider that. I read every single post, have been at least sence this hole thing was posted. If people decide leaving the game is the only option with out even giving it a try after this paid thing, then I frankly don't care. I'd rather 3 players who are at least willing to reason with me rather than 500 that suddenly get all up into a storm of rage and say there not coming back.

Hi. @steve I see what you mean about other payment methods, but I can't just make some account on 3 other services and link it up to my website, that's not how it works. Paypal was hard enough as it is. I had to get parental permission to do it legally, and have an honest answer to anyone who asks. I needed an SSN in there, i'm gonna have to deel with just pay pal taxes... I can't just, go add other payment methods, though I completely get whare you are coming from. The reason I can't stop this trading is because I think that should be warented under the propper consitions, or I would have done something about it ages ago. People should be able to trade in pop cans for DFC's. Someone should be able to buy someone who is banned from pay pal some death free cards and hand them over. I want my players to be able to have that freedom. I could stop all that entirely paid or non paid accounts, but I don't want to have to. I hope some of my points make 
 a little sence. Also, rules.txt is being worked on, considering carefully how I wanna write things/the right rules that won't make people completely go nuts because I made a bad rule or something. It'll be out next STW ver.

Ok, [[wow]]. I've been writing this post for the last several hours, just coming back to it when ever I had time. So, here you go. I atempted to make sure I sounded as least harsh as possible, i'm not even angry. But if one of these points rubs someone the rong way I apologize. Also, just saying, knowing me, this is probably just in a big mumbo jumbo, but you should be able to make sence out of at least some of it.  here goes. Hi all. First, I knew it would happen and understand why your all frusterated at my decision. About the maps thing first, I meant possibly certain stores in the village, with other ways to get those items of course. It was only a thought, not even something confirmed I would do. All the unfairness, I completely understand as well. I just want to be able to hold onto most of the free portion of the game. I want people to be able to play it
  fairly, for free. Which is why I would have no problem making the limitations more fair, possibly even slightly lowering the price of these accounts of course giving the purchasers a slight refund, but i'd have to think about stuff. This was an extremely hard decision to make. Do you know how much I tried keeping the game free for everyone? But thanks to not just the cheaters, I had to change my mind and make paid accounts a thing. Last time, I atempted doing a purge whare people could save there accounts. I offered restores to inisent people who lost there things after I fixed the bug they were using... But everyone was just to ungreatful for me to even consider doing that again. Everyone was extremely frusterated about loosing a day of work because they submitted there characters before. I know that's how it works, and it makes sence why people were angry at me then, and I know everyone just cares about the game play. But so much more goes into this for me. I was trying
  to fix the cheating bugs staying up all night during my vacation, etc etc. I know, it's know excuse and i'm not treating it as such, i'm just mensioning it. Ok maybe it's a bit of an excuse, because it played a part in this decision. How these cheats work, is someone finds a bug to get 1300 pop cans, then go around giving 25 pop cans to every player they find. This makes it nearly impossible to just catch one cheater and make him/her go away. It's already to late. I can't just back up the char database... And we can thank the people who think it's fun to make the 2323232323232 ahahahahahahahah efefefefefef jkjkjhfkjghfkjgfkjgh characters all the time, play them for  2 minutes and never come back. More spamming and cheating. It quickly spirals out of control once 20 people have 25 pop cans... Then start giving there friends... On and On and On. It just get's to the point whare I need to make an instand decision, to try to atem
 pt to avoid a full purge. It keeps happening. So I had to do something to prevent it from happening. I know some of you think I can press a couple buttons and get rid of all the cheaters, but that's not how it works. Look at criticviews posts about the IP addresses. People can buypass bans. They can recreate there characters. Theres nothing I can do to stop it aside from money, the thing that is 200 times harder to hack. About the rules, I agree. I completely trake responsibility for not doing that and realize it as a huge mistake, and your statements are completely justified. However, theres more than 1 way to get information acrossed. When people get 200 pop cans, I try to warn them. All the time I try to warn them. They just don't listen. Rules or not, it just wouldn't matter. Theres a point whare rules or not, you know it's cheating and you know it's rong, even with out comon sence, at least if your getting warnings. Theres  a /warn command for 
 admins for heavens sakes and they don't listen. I ban them... These cheating asses know what there doing rong. And if I can't find them? I set the motd or put out a public notification. Doesn't matter, it keeps happening. So rules or not like I said, it wouldn't have made a might of a difference anymore, at least for stopping cheating it's self. But for explinations and just general responsibility it makes perfect sence, and I'm gonna get it done. And I do, try to block cheating in the survive the wild code. But after a while... I can't just sit there fixing cheating bugs till 7:30 in the morning, then get pissed on by parents... Yeah, I do breefly wanna bring that up. The time I have on the computer is sometimes very limited. My parents are very strict about it and I avoid there strictness as best I can, but I don't wanna spend the time I have on the computer which may sceme like a lot, fixing the code. Yes, security is a big thing to be work
 ed on and I do, but theres a point... At least for me, whare it just hardly is worth it to sit for so long and fix those bugs. It means no more game features. Thus charging for no limitations. People have loved the game

So. Heres how this works. This is the only way I could find to anialate cheating and find a balance. You can still play survive the wild for completely free if you wish. However there are now some limits if you do. Aside from water and things, you can not have over 100 of an item. Your energy and health will never exceed 1000, no matter what. You can only pick up 5 gifts per day at the fishing village gift shop. Those are the main drawbacks of a free account, but more are going to be added, such as limiting access to certain maps etc. Not many though, I wan thte game to be as free as possible. If you purchase your account on the stw store, all of those limits will be removed. Also, it stops your char from being purged, spam killing, everything doesn't apply to you if you purchase an account. By purchasing it signifies that you are a real, ture player that doesn't cheat. So basicly, if you purchase, cheat, and get banned, that ain't my fault, I keep the money. Sence 
 there is a disclaimer i'd win the paypal chargeback. Also, buying an account tells me you like the game, it supports me and the server and my sounds etc, and makes me feel good in general. Either way, I hope these are limitations you can all deal with if you don't pay, and I really hope you understand why I did this. Accounts can be purchased for $15.95, and it is a one time payment. I know this could be frusterating, but there's nothing else to do to have a cheater free game.

Also, admins can not view IP addresses. Only masters. If you type /private, your location wil be hidden and we can't see it. It deletes it from the server and the server never checks for it. Also who said admins can view locations of players? If so tell me how so I can fix? about IP addresses... When ever you go on anything of course there available to the administrators or at least who ever runs it. Part of going on a game is trust. Of course I can see your IP address if I want to. Does that mean i'm going to do anything with it? No. If I didn't care about privacy I wouldn't have added the /private command. I'm just throwing all these points out there. But if admins can see a certain players location, I need to know how they do it so I can make them not able to anymore. The thing is, if I was a crappy admin and I wanted to, I could geolocate the IP address of any player. If the masters of this forum wanted to, they could geolocate your address. Google sho
 ws you your location at the bottum of there search results and i'll bet that's logged. I'm not mad or anything just pointing all this out. It's only a list of locations, no one even knows if it's you. But other than that... I can't remove BGT's ability to have a function to check the IP addresses. Hi all. @criticview I will be replying on skype to help you, wasn't aware you sent me anything so glad you mensioned. For the ideas and suggestions I will be throwing together a todo list so hopefully I can throw out an update to yall soon! Remember the purge wasn't to delete chars, it was to help get rid of cheated items. About the STW Server being down, this game is a little massive for BGT rofllmao. It's big enough that it scemes to have exposed a memory leak in BGT it's self. All the errors I get are now just all bad alacations, and when the server crashes, it is when BGT doesn't stop it in time, and windows desides it had enough and halts the thing and shows it's own nice little server.exe application error message. I've been going threw all the time making sure all handles are clearing and stuff, but BGT's garbage collecter is either broken, or there is some massivly hidden thing that's broken in my code that's causing things
  to sceme like old useless class references are still being used. But the mem ussage of the server just goes up and up, and when players go offline to items clearing to a mannuel garbage collect, the ram doesn't even go down by a byte. Usually goes up. I'm working on ways to counteract this, and I totally understand and agree that it's very frusterating. But in technacle terms, that's what's going on, and i'm working on it.
