It was either a kid's tape or an English Language Learner's tape, similar to Muzzy in Gondoland. This one began with a song in Spanish that went something like, 'Tu cantaras y yo cantare' the songs were organised by the seasons, so they started in spring. The next songs were things like Happy Birthday, Row, Row, Row your boat, O McDonald, and possibly something else, all sung bilingual. in summer, someone demonstrated a calliope at the fair, then someone sang a version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star but with sheep and wool. Then they sang the Banana boat song.. 'Day! Me say day, oh! Daylight come an' me wan' go home'. I think they also sang Going to the Zoo To-morrow. During early fall, they sang about fighting a bull with plum. Then Halloween came, and a guy spoke in a creepy voice with eerie drones all around as he talked about the three little pumpkins that had rolled out of sight. Christmas: Silent Night, and a song about making a snowman. The rest of Winter was uneventful except that they mentioned Mardi Gras in February, and then a lady recited the months in Spanish. So, the character's names were Maria and Pedro, I think, but I could be mistaken. Anyhow, I haven't been able to find out who made it, and if anybody here knows what it could be, I'd appreciate all the information you can provide. I guess since ggf is talking about childrens albums I used to have I might as well join in.back in the early 2000s, there was a series of cassette tapes called tick and fuzz, in which the 2 tichilar characters talked about a specific moral lesson (sharing and kindness being 2 examples) intersperced with songs related to them. I'll have to look up some of the songs on those though since I don't really think it caught on the way wee sing did. one of the higlights was '7 nice things to say' from the kindness episode, in which the narrator has a complement or positive affurmation for each day of the week, spoken in both high and low pitches. this would be a great song for dectalk! I read a lot of Disney read-alongs and Richard Scary's bedtime stories, it's hard to remember. But there was this song called Measuring Words. There were also people talking about the Money family and the money comedian. They also had a history lesson on counting. About how Romans counted sheep using sticks. Hi there,I am going to post a link to a small MP3 file that contains some melodies and harmonies that I remember from hearing in this album I used to have when I was seven years old. I think I got rid of it when I was twelve.Here's what I remember. the song begins with an introduction about let's dance. It was sung in the key of D major. The next song was Cepillin singing In a forest with the Chinese, and you hear the Chinese xylophone riff. The next few songs I don't remember, but there was one called Casa Blanca, another one called Carita de Angel, and another one called la chis chis chis, in which the yellow liquid comes from there. The ninth song was another Cepillân song called Felicidades a tí to the tune of Happy Birthday. Then there's one more song that I'm really curious about. It sounded as though an old lady was singing about a diet or something. Anyhow, the MP3 file has the chis chis chis melody, the happy birthday, and the one in which the person is singing about food. Then someone sang this strange Jamaican song called Day Oh, Me Say Day Oh, daylight come and me wan' go home. Then they sang 'Going to the Zoo To-morrow, and how there were crocodiles there. Then fall was coming, and Pedro talked about taking a stroll or a hike, and then he sang about taming a bull with a plum. Re: what do you think of a tts preschool album? @family mario, any interest in using realivox or EW symphonic choires for some of the songs, and/or deaflemask for the backing tracks? deaflemask is similar to famitracker but supports many chips including: 2a03, sid (c64), gameboy sound hardware, ym2612 (with or without sn77489), ymu7xx (fm/pcm hybrid chip used on some old cell phones), huC6280 (turbo grafx16/PC Engine), and ym2151 (various arcade games). for ym2151, it can be accompanied by a sega pcm chip (the same one used in E.g. After burner and out run). I'm also offering to do the vocal files for the alphabet chant myself so you don't get burned out. If I do end up making them I'll probably end up using acapella peter or nuance Phiona, the ladder of which I got for free since I am a mac user. However, it only exports as aiff, so to avoid issues in case people couldn't play the files, I converted it to mp3 using Foobar2000. Basically, I have to shift the notes up by 1 octave, and a find and replace is going to be difficult, because it keeps catching the wrong notes in the process. so I might as well do it by hand. But since I assigned a pitch to everything except unvoiced consonants, it will take a while. For those who don't know, Macintalk has a tune format that allows you to have full control over the synthesizer, intonation, phoneme durations, etc. And if you tune it just the right way, you can get it to sing. However, this could take a while, partially because there is no note support and I have to input the frequencies individually. Fortunately, I have a tone chart, but it will take some time.
