hi! I've test the game, and it lookes good, even it's not accesible yet. I'm verry late read this topic, but I do. I also have an oppinian here, i'm sorry, because it's different from others, but here's what I think. apart from good audio emersion, it lookes like she stream from her device, so let the text spoken by a screan reader, like you watched the original life streaming. here's how it works in my mind. that will be a reply button, message button, or something like that. when you click that button, the chois will pop up. may be their's an edit box too, where you can type a chois, so it lookes like you really sending a message to her. and may be a voice command too? aaah! I have too many crazy ideas in my head, but I can't ask for too much or the developer wil kill me. lol. sorry for that guys.

Hi,as i've said multiple times in this topic, can't wait to play this in hear mode!.This is my type of game, and even as it is now, i managed to go prety far in chapter 1.there are timed choices in this game, right?. i'd like to have them as well in hear mode.for example, near the begining of the game, you need to react fast to go back to the building, get your lighter, and go outside again. if you aren't quick enough, well... goodbye.Don't know how you gonna implement it in hear mode, but if possible i'd love to have those, and all the puzzles.and last but not least, i'll gladly contribute when the kickstarter becomes available.

Frequency missing used a drag and drop system with audio indicators when on an option. I think that in a grid setting this could work.

@Origine Thank you so much for your ideas. Luckily most of them pretty much refelct our prototype draft. I'd like to go a little deeper into this:1. The current action system P.A.D. (stands for Plan and Do) is made in a 3x4 grid, containing 12 actions. Honestly, I thought navigating through a grid would be too hard, so we planned to let you swipe up and down through all 12 actions. But after reading your points I understand, that it would be faster to navigate if you directly click the appropriate action because you know where it is in the grid. Swiping up and down would be easy though and would be also present in other functions throughout the whole ear-mode. Can others of you confirm that a grid would be indeed quicker and more convenient for you? 2. If we'd go with a grid, what would be the maximum grid size? I imagine 3x4 being too small in portrait mode (landscape mode is not supported)3. As to tapping we will probably also use multi-touch to navigate higher in the hierarchy like the menu. I would go definitely with a double tap to confirm choice, just to avoid touch mistakes. Single tap would be a direct move to the specific grid.4. As to knowing when the game text ends, the first action or answer is always read aloud and then the next one when you swipe through.5. With the last one you nailed it. Immersion is key. And we don't want to break it ever. That's also a reason why we don't want to use voice over readers but rather create our own system voice.I think that's all for now. I don't really lik the swipe thing because it gets tedious, but it's not incompatible with what I was thinking.The idea is I'd like to quickly select an action. Now there are mutiple things to consider:I'd place the actions in a grid. If there are typically 4 actions, then a 2x2 grid, if there are 6, a 2x3 or 3x2depending on the game's orientation. If in rare cases there are more choices, then the two bottom grid cell could be a next page and previous page. This needs to be rare though, otherwise this UI would get tedious. If there are fewer actions than the grid capacity, then those should remain silent.There should be a very discrete sound when you switch focus to a new cell in the grid, because it's convenient, but we do not want to be distracted away from the imersion.Ok, now for the actual focus and action selection.If action texts are somewhat short:Hold your finger on the screen, the focus snaps to the grid cell under your finger (either 2x2 or 2x3). The action is immediately read. If you release your finger, the action is selected, if you want to hear another action, move your finger over another grid cell without releasing.If action texts are long:Same thing, but releasing the finger will not select the action, you have to double tap to select the focused action.Obviously you do not change the experience throughout the game, you choose one and you stick to it for consistency. Also, all of the actions could be read automatically at first, meaning that we do not even have to explore with our fingers, we would already know where to click to select a particular action, because we know how the grid is layed out.If the actions are not read automatically, another experience would be to play a discrete sound after the game text is read. This is to avoid waiting asking ourselves if the text was finished reading and we can now inspect actions we can take. The game needs to be smooth and quick to navigate. When you test play it, make sure you go through all the episode and see how tedious the user experience you chose is.Finally, do not break the imersion. This means that I wouldn't want to hear things like "To choose an action, place your finger on the screen, release to select" every game frame. All you need to do to explain the UI mechanics is a very small two frame tutorial which can be out of character and purely technical. @darthscorp: I've been able to get pretty good results with a well-configured blue yeti mic, and as for talking and moving, just mix those sounds. Unless you're using binaurals you won't really get full surround effects when moving anyway.

i can try to help you with russian localization. i don't know if i'll find a good voice actress, but i would like to try because i want to make something big a long time already. i haven't played the game yet, but i've listened a let's play on youtube, and i absolutely love it! and if the choices realy matter, i love the game even more *_* and i'll try to localize it with all my soul)and another thing i worry about is which type of microphone you used to record the voices. it sounds like a professional audio recorder or a camera, but i have only a medium quality equipment, and of course it won't sound as good as yours. besides, if we have Frances's talking and moving recorded as one track, that can be hard as hell:(

I support buying all the things at once, these guys need as much money as they can get, and I think it will be well worth every penny. I also like the idea off ear mode rather than VoiceOver/talkback. More inclusive, and gets you into the story  of the game. I tried to play but after the fifth kill decided I wouldn't torture poor Francis anymore, I don't think I'm tapping high enough for one of the choices. Very exciting beginning though, with high stakes. And I like that, a lot. Keep up the good work guys.

Barbara (@LyorahStudios) You're very welcome, always great to see immersive games like this. Unfortunately the sequence of screen gestures mentioned still isn't working. I think what would help would be to make all those controls standard buttons that you could activate with voiceover/talkback. Alternatively, so as not to change the interface up too much, you could maybe include a long press gesture that would skip all the introductory messages and bring you straight into the game.

fortunately, i can play the game on my iPhone!what i really hope, with all of my heart, is that the game gets fully completed, i plan to buy every episode you release. it's been a long time sinze i was so hyped about a game!.but i changed my mind in only a Little thing. i was going to wait for hear mode, but it's impossible. i'll play the first chapter without hear mode, just to see if i can complete it, or, atleast, to see how far i can go.then, once hear mode is developed, i'll replay it to know exactly what am i doing.na, let frances be herself. even my future wife, who doesn't speak english, wants to know what will happen to her.

double post. this time, i think i found a bug.the game doesn't work in my i-pod touch 5g, IOS 9.after selecting all the options, the game closes itself.note that i don't get the notifications permission screen, maybe that's the cause?i tested it with a sighted person, and i get all the warnings. i can select my age and sex, but after that, the game closes.in ios, i went to settings, notifications, but the girl who sold the world doesn't appear there..

i tried to launch the game consistently, but it seems it was pure luck.after trying the game for a good amount of time.I'm amazed! even without the hear mode, this game is fantastic! and there are 7 episodes planed! just... [[wow]]!.it is not an easy task to impress me i'm very familiar with mainstream games, so i don't play any Little game out there if it's not good. english is not my primary language, thank's god i went to the english academy hear mode is not out yet and still, i'm really impressed!only thing is hope not to feel like francis lover, i'm about to get married hahahahaa.i haven't finished the chapter, butspoiler alert!i managed to do the followingi got the lighter.i reached several pathsfranciss tried to make a fire... she failed that was strangei went to a cavinginside the caving, i discovered that 
 playing it at 3 am really helps with the story... i started to get nervousafter some work, i got several things including a key to open... something, and get another something from inside... man, it was hard to convince her to get itthen, i stoped. i'll wait for accessibility, hear mode...end of spoilers.oh, something strange happened. in several ocassions, the game ended... with a sound, like if something was dissconnecting.to finish this long, long post, thanks to the members of lyora studios for giving me so much entertainment!

This is true. Even the big icons are probably not as big as they seem. A mediocre way to do it would be to ocr your screen every time you do something, but even that is iffy.

@Jack: It seems like the icons are very small, so hitting those is based on luck. It needs lots of patience and luck even to start the game. There is no confirmation sound when an icon is activated which makes it much harder.

I just checked the Play Store page for the game and it says it requires Android 4.1 or newer. It should definitely run with no issues.

I second what Musical Professor just said, we're all willing to go all in once ear mode is developed. I will say I've already purchased the game for Android and was trying the sequence of screen events Barbara described, and it looks like those are either not universal, or I might've missed one of them. Just for the record, the device we're using is a nexus6p running android 8.0 Oreo development beta, not that that should be a problem since the game seems to run, just with no sound yet. I'll admit that I did actually try the game with talkback on, using two fingers instead of one for each single tap, as Talkback uses two finger gestures as a passthrough, if you will. In other words, using two finger gestures to scroll is basically using your average scroll gestures, nothing directly implemented in talkback. That might've caused the problem though, so let's try it without talkback on at all and see what that brings. *3 weeks later*  Well, tried it a second time, no luck.@chrisfaelnar I can't speak for android 5.0 compatibility just yet. Once I figure out how to use the game on my primary device, I can test it on my Braillenote Touch running Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. If it works on that device, then I don't see why it wouldn't work on Android 5.0. Just to get you prepared in case it doesn't work, what phone are you using? I may be able to look yours up and see if we can get lineage OS on there. Lineage OS is an aftermarket Android distribution that is community-driven and generally squeezes a little extra life into devices even after their official support ends. If there's a Lineage OS rom for you phone, that may be able to get you up to Android 6.0 at the very least.

so, i must say that its totally about time to hear some real timing gaming and i would absolutely love playing this on android once it becomes accessible.  in listeing to it i was like woe.  this is whats up.  too many games while having something similar, lack alot.  particularly sense they all seem to be text based and that can grow tiresome and down right well, boring after abit.   i mean they are grate time passers so to speak but thats it.  this is real time with real audio and more.   i wanted to play this badly but learned at last min that it wasn't quite accessible.  i've told others about the game and shared the link with them to have them right and show there support for android to be accessible as well.  i've also sent email.  i'm so ready.  realistic, real time, real, not real time fakeness.    yall go on with yalls bad selves.  this is precisely what i'm talkin bou
