spodify or apple music? which is better? I have been an apple music user for awhile now. So why the change? I had a friend add me to their spodify family plan. So, now I have access to spodify and apple music. So, which is better and why. Which is being used the most and why? What are people's likes and dislikes about each? Of course, someone else bought me a cupple of homepod minis that should be coming in this month. So part of me switching or not switching might be based off of how well spodify works on the homepods. I know that when I got my google home max, in the last year or so, I knew that the only music service that worked on the homepod was apple music. Now days, I am hearing that that may have changed a little bit. Cortana is good for, uh, i don't really know, searching things on bing that have nothing to diwth what I said because, well, bing? Google home is good for a lot more questionsa s it uses google, or doing things like who's Donald Trump, how tall is he, and doing a conversational type of thing. Google assistant, however, is a lot better, because it has more it can pull up right at your fingertips, like a straight up built-in google search with multiple results, other aplications, maps, and just other things that are on phones not on small shaped spheres that aren't completely spherical like the google home mini. I don't have a favorite, just a least favorite, cortana. Seriousl, I see almost no use for it, even if i had a microphone. its the siri of windows, but worse from what i've heard. I do like its emotion sounding responces, though? So, getting my droid in the next couple of days and my vote will more than likely be Google assistant given I don't care much for Siri and haven't now for quite some time.That being said? I believe this is like asking which is better between apples, oranges, pears, peaches, bananas and pineapples. All of these virtual assistants have their strengths and weaknesses and the various manners in which companies drive them. Cortana's gotten a bit of bashing on this topic because people don't know how to set it up properly... I myself have had no issue with it and find that the only place it truly is lacking is its ability to integrate with services outside of the Microsoft sphere. Beyond that it's done practically all I've ever needed it to from searching bing and opening apps to adding meettings/events in my windows calendar.Siri on the other hand is a little more complicated and its syntax has failed me more than once, particularly when dealing with Apple Music. It has, however, been useful to me when I need quick questions answered, such as calculations, temperature, the percentage of my battery when I just can't be bothered poking around on the upper right hand corner of my screen, opening apps and ap settings on the fly, and even finding my phone... I'm like, "Hey, siri, where are you!" And Siri responds! Nah, that last one really isn't ideal but it works.And then, there's "you-know-who." Seriously! I can't even say her name! She's like that stereyotypical high-school girlfriend waiting for you to call her because she's so emotional and clingy! Her phone's sitting no more than a foot away; she's constantly picking it up and making sure she didn't miss your texts; she's starting to wonder if she should call you? But you know who I'm talking about, right? Right? Her name starts with an A, ends with an A? Amanda, I'm not refering to you just in case you're reading this... She really does work for the Amazon marketing machine and wants you to buy from their stores? No questions asked? If I look for a song that's not available on prime she's quick to remind me that that song is not available, but kindly purchase this other subscription I'm offering you for just 4 dollars and I'll be more than happy to play that song for you? She really is quick, snappy, tuned in to everything you're saying and talking about, and is probably the best at speech recognition and truly is best suited to those who think they're carrying on conversation with a human rather than AI. BTW, I prefer the emotional chick to "You-know-who." At least the former can show she cares about me rather than my money.And for the record, yes, that bit about talking to AI and not humans is absolutely worth mentioning, because I don't even know how many people I've come across who are misusing their assistants by thinking they can simply talk to them like they talk to a normal person. It's not a person, no matter how intelligent it may seem. To talk to it you're going to have to talk to it like you talk to a computer. It's very specific and doesn't need anything else less than a precise delivery to get the job done right on the first try. Also, things like more advanced word processing and working with tables in excel works better under windows, as far as I know excel isn't really usable on the mac platform. And your point about the anti-virus is also false, because it can take less than a minute to get windef to clear your products for virus. And BGT installers are also sometimes flagged. Narrator is getting better, but the unfortunate thing is that unlike Voiceover, Narrator isn't quite up to being full functioning screen reader standard yet. If you want an OS that is accessible right out of the box with no third party software required, Mac OS is for you. So for accessibility, my first point goes to Mac OS.2. Pricing.One thing many people know about Apple is the fact that their products aren't the most affordable. If you are looking for something good, but are still on a budget, Windows is the best way to go. So for pricing, my point goes to Windows.3. Audio games.One thing a lot of people probably are looking for is a computer to play audio games on. Re: Which is better? It all depends on the recording quality you're expecting out of it. Are you more interested in your recordings focusing on your voice, or do you want it to capture everything? I myself invested in the Zoom H2N, and I love it to death. No, it doesn't talk unfortunately and you'd have to obtain sighted assistance formatting the SD card, but the recording quality is absolutely amazing! I've recorded a couple thunder storms with it myself, and they turned out great. Re: Which is better? Neil Ewers did a podcast on the LS14, but I'm not sure where you can get it. I have the LSP2 which is similar to the LSP4 and the stereo image isn't as wide as the LS14, but that might be because the LS14 is bigger so far as I've heard. Whichever one you get, though, both are likely to have voice guidance. It seems to be on all their modern recorders.
