To enforce it you'd need to (1) remove every single prvacy right in existence, irrespective of whether its inalienable or not and (2) somehow find a way to verify the information users submit to your sight (i.e. background checks, court inquiries, etc). It's not 'pessimism', it's a law passed by US politicians, and correct me if I'm wrong but all of those you said are in the US, so they fall under this issue. Anything that big effecting audiogames.net will effect Creative Heroes. Besides, they usually check this website if they find out that something bad happens to it. Remember when we lost three weeks of posts? The web masters were there to fix everything and make sure we didn't lose a lot more than that. It's supposed to protect children ages 12 and under from having data collected on them, and YouTube has been breaking that law for years. The FTC finally caught on, and now they're changing their terms of service. Said changes are screwing over a lot of their customers. You can find more information about this here and here. I was concerned that the FTC was going to go after audiogames.net, since we've got users 12 and under here. We don't even automatically regulate the language here like the site used to do pre2012, so it's probably wise not to let anyone under 13 on the site anyhow from an ethics standpoint alone. Will COPPA affect Audiogames.net Hello. As a lot of people might realize, The FTC is enforcing COPPA more strictly. They just took action on YouTube, encouraging them to change their terms of service. This is because a lot of young kids are on YouTube. A lot of kids also go on this website. Is the community at risk for losing our forum if we don’t change the rules accordingly? Do we have to enforce stricter age rules? I know this is a lot Of questions, but I’m concerned for this website. Audiogames.net has been around for over 15 years, and it’s the central database For everything audio gaming.
