Hi, 2019's been a good year for games it looks like, as it is/ was seriously difficult for me to make a choice to vote just for one Sequence storm for a game that I can play along with my sighted friends, and the developer who went deep in to make the game accessible for us all. New horizons for the huge amount of playability/ replayable nature of the game, plus its free, and it has much more content than many of the payed games out there.Manamon 2, was the only game that made me sit down and play and pulled me in this year, and felt like one huge major release in this year. Breed memorial was one game I couldn't get into much, although probably I need to give it more time. Alt frequencies and Bulwark in the city of flesh I have heard good things about, but haven't had the time to play them yet. In the End I ended up voting for sequence storm for one reason alone, is that I'd like to see more games become accessible and more developers willing to put in the time and effort to make their games playable for visually impaired players. Looks like manamon 2 is winning though, fare enough, despite all the negativity for it that I have seen, as a game it was worth it, although yes, some criticism was fare. I.E movesets, and the grammer bit, although that I could ignore after a while. My vote went to Breed Memorial.It has some bugs, but it's a neat idea with a lot of things to unlock.Manamon 2 has a ton of good tracks, better customization than the original and better story than the original, but unfortunately that's not really saying much. it also has a lot of the issues of the original, including script problems and developer concerns. I voted for sequence storm as it has a huge amount of replay value thanks to having both audio cues 1 and 2 modes as pretty much independent games, tons of tracks and 5 difficulty levels to practice them on. The story is also cool. I also really like games where you can progressively learn to get better, and have to work at it a bit, as compared to ones where you just learn the mechanics and then fly through it and when they want to increase difficulty they just add on more mechanics. These are all pretty great games, possibly excluding some of the freeman ones, but I went with the most extensive and over all impactful title, which in my opinion was Manamon2.That said, when it comes to the highest quality game, and the one that helped modernize the market the most, I'd say Sequence Storm.I'd say that the most thought provoking and unique award is probably a tie between Bulwork and Alt Frequencies, with the edge for pure weirdness going to the former, while the most innovative gameplay style advantage would go to the latter for me. But the tasks you have to complete to unlock new levels are very poorly thought out and it's still an endless runner with only a few enemy types.I voted for dragon village my self, because while it's quite linear, it does have some degree of randomization to help make each game different (I wish it had more in quests though) it's a reasonably long game with quite a bit of character, one of those that it's going to be hard to forget in five years, some of the puzzles are quite difficult, which makes you work to win it, and the difficulty settings add a further degree of challenge to those who've beaten it.It's the most full fledged new release of this year IMO. As said before, AHC was already on a previous list and from what I remember received plenty of votes. Echoes of levia, now that would have probably been a good idea to include just to see how the votes turn out. Re: Best games 2018! @3 fire fight was not included because technically it was released in 2017. There was a longer period of silence before the re-release this year, this is why I didn't include it. A hero's call was featured on the 2017 list, so if you want to vote for it, that's the place where you can do so. The thing about games like Rory boxing is, I try to include games that have at least some lasting potential. I do my best to make this list non-biased, so when I decide whether or not to include a game I look at things like: Has the title received positive coverage from other people, be this through the forum or social media? How long was the title talked about/is the forum topic still active? I did see the topic about Rory boxing, but from what I've seen of it, the game just needs more time to develop. Well @Liam I like the fact that you used the 8-bit style for some of the presentation of this game, mixing and matching it with some modern sounds for the gameplay. Speaking of which, said gameplay added a nice little twist on what would normally be an arcade-style formula, bringing some thinking into the mix based on how you turn. Hi,A Hero's Call should probably be done as best celebrated game for 2017, definitely most anticipated game and the sheer time it's taken for this team to put this thing together, five years, and it's now out, and worth it, and they're still going.Best arcade game is really hard for me. Audio Strike is the japanese devs, and once again, they do what they do in an awesome way, I sunk a lot of time into that and still haven't beaten it on easy.Dark Defender and Cyclepath are cool, no other word for it, there's this thing about not having music that makes them immersive and they are fun casual/arcade style games that I go back to, and am impressed with the way they bring their concepts to life. The same can be said for Road of Life, I mean all you've got is that wind, and when I heard that and no music, I was like, oh my word, I am alone out here in a truck, and considering it's historical impact as well, it's actually very haunting/scary when you think about it like that, and I really love it because of this.Overall, 2017 has been a fantastic year for audiogames, capped off with the release of A Hero's Call to bring us into 2018, and in 2018, we have:Echos of LevierBrain StationAnd some sort of other adventure game that I forgot the name of. Not just because from interesting maps to who can complete x map in y minutes and z seconds, but simply the people who play that game are cool. Sure there are some party brakers from time to time, but they get banned pretty quickly, and over all that's one of my favorite online games.I cant say anything about AHC, though from what I have heard it sounds pretty awesome.Cyclopath is one of those games whitch I had problems starting, then when I managed to run it, found out to my shock that I just sucked at it. I did manage to get to some level, but after some time I have decided that I wasn't clearly a type of a guy for that game, though maybe I could try it some other time and who knows, maybe I would really manage to get somewhere .Audiostrike is a game whitch I quite like, though I didn't play it much so I cant give a ferr review about it.I didn't play dark defender and Echo quadrant so I cant say anything about them.and as regards games not listed on that list.one of the games whitch I really enjoyed was scrolling battles rewrite. when I first downloaded, that day and the day after I have almost spent 100% free time on it. I think I reached the level 50 by then. sure after about level 140 it was really boring, taking that almost all weapons would kill an average enemy in one hit, but because you can expand it with everything from enemies and weapons to pits and characters, it's always fun to play. Humans vs robots was one of the games that I really liked, though when I have reached level 130 od it got boring.all in all, I think that my end vote on this is going to be SBYW. I can't count how many hour I spend in Kareshia world but still it's a game I'll be returning to for sure.Great ARPG with fantastic OST, voice acting and sound design like in old console RPGs. Interesting plot, great world and so many hidden things to collect plus many endings and modes (including sequel) to unlock.I'm fan of old games and checked stuff so Shadow line did everything correctly, from atmosphere to the gameplay factors.Closest example from the list here will be naturally Manamon, but Aaron decided to left the game without further updates and as I observed most manamons are just not balanced and not worth using plus some other things which makes this experience not that fun as I wanted.CP is really the most original experience but onl y in multi player. In the single player it's so boring for me to play and what is wrong with most of our game still is the fact, there's still this MP system where you need to contect with someone through IP / port than just use a global server with many cool features (good example is RS games, Quentin etc)Now let's hope this year will bring more original stuff and not next clones. Re: best games 2016! I voted for Manamon. It was hard to decide between manamon and Crazy Party, but I finally decided on Manamon. Yes it does have a lot of similarities to Pokemon, but it's not! a pokemon clone. a clone would be with the same places, same story, same objective, same creatures, no. None of the places or things you can capture from pokemon are in manamon. And I haven't seen the shadow warriors in pokemon, or maybe I haven't gotten far enough. And the objective is similar, but not exactly the same. The developer put a lot of effert in to this game, just like the other games. And you want to know why their haven't been updates? Because he has a life away from the computer like people should have. I'm not saying anyone lives on the computer here, I'm just saying that you need to understand that developers probably have 2 jobs and that second job is more important. I make games just to make them, put them up and see what people think. I'm going to teach m ath after going to college. The flying doesn't interest me much, but the detailed world map fascinates me. If redspot was an option in the poll it would have made my choice much more difficult; it and soundRTS are my favourite multiplayer games to play with my friends. Re: best games 2016! Hello,this can be funny for someone, but I am woting for Eurofly. I will also explayn why, and It is not for work on this game from myself.Problem here is, that I can not assess these games objectively by method of choosing game which I play much, because all of us like different game genres and styles, and these games are representing completely different styles.so, I tryed to assess games by successibility in theyr genres, and gave following results:- Crazy party, It not intrested me much, especially after unable to complete task for unclear assigment for me, but quality was good and there was more game styles included in one product, so It is good game.- Tube sim, this game intrested me very lot, especially for simple fact that It is simulator, and brings some informations from reality to us by funny way, so It has large potential. It has quality sounds, processing and original mind of game is perfectly represented and done, Its developer made really good work.- Eurofly, also great simulator and not only simulator, many peoples does not see it I thing, but original mind of Eurofly was not to bring flight simulator, but geographical atlas for blinds, only later option to make flights was added. Also by amount of data used, which have about one gb at this time I think, that Eurofly is possibly heretofore hugest audiogame, that was developed completely for blinds.Games that was not included I haven't tryed yet.So, clear winner for me is eurofly. Other two audiogames are also good, I am now playing Tube sim every day for few hours, but when I look at quality, Eurofly is largest.But as you can see, quality representation can be also different for each player, so this is not fully objective too, so I end comparison with note, that all from us have own comparison method, and own favourite au diogame. Re: best games 2016! I gave my vote for Manamon. I haven't played Crazy Party or Eurofly yet, so I can't vote for something that I haven't played. Also, I'm not a fan of too complex games where you have to spend more time at studdying gameplay than actually playing them. I'm currently at driver school in TubeSim, and I'm not sure if I'll have enough patience to actually start driving train without having so many angry passengers on me. Same goes for Eurofly.
