Thanks mr-b. I have no intention of using balanced output. From what I understand so far the easiest thing would be to leave the jumpers in the factory setting (balanced) but use an XLR-RCA adapter that does not have the -ve connected to anything, to get the correct unbalanced operation.

Auronthas save yourself the hassle and buy a Transporter used or new.if you get the source right first then reap the benefit in the long run. i have a Linn Sondek LP12 here with all the upgrades apart from Keel/Ekos se and it plays good music thru' ANY speakers you hook up to it. Just my tuppence
