I cant believe this is a ground loop issue as my sb3 or sb2 dont have

I don't know for sure, but considering the Transporter's mains

I went thru all this too when I got my Lavry DA10.
The good thing is that the DA10 has internal jumpers which change the
output from balanced to unbalanced - manual extract:

The unit is factory configured to operate in Balanced output mode. The
balanced signal comes out PIN 2
Hello
Is it worth while to use this DAC with SB3?

Thanks mr-b.
I have no intention of using balanced output.
From what I understand so far the easiest thing would be to leave the
jumpers in the factory setting (balanced) but use an XLR-RCA adapter
that does not have the -ve connected to anything, to get the correct
unbalanced operation.
Can't see any obvious reason why not.
the nos dac's should be fine too. my low cost fav is the behringer src

I bought the Bryston off of Audiogon, where the seller listed it as the

The seller screwed up the listing, and I couldn't justify spending that

Something else the JUMPERS may be doing is changing the level. There is
nothing wrong with an unbalanced signal! Chances are the output
impedance of the Lavry is 100-ohms, so distance isn't a problem
either.
Unbalanced usually is very bad coming out of most consumer products at
a much higher

Do XLR-RCA adapters have it connected or not?
Again, it depends if it is male or female.
If it looks like this, the negative line should be not connected:

And if it looks like this it should be tied to ground:

Seems ok, but unless it does reclocking it will not fix the minor
jitter problems that the SB3 has. I doubt it will be an improvement
Hi, I just ran into this thread, apparently several months late.
I have to agree about some of the problems that some have had with my
DiffMaker program. In some setups, a good clean null is achieved when
it should be (i.e., when two recordings recorded the same way are
diffed). In others, the
How well Homeplugs works does seem to vary depending on the house
wiring. We recently moved and whereas I could drive multiple SB3s at
the old place, I now struggle to drive two and get intermittent
dropouts (very old house). I also find that they seem to work better
in some rooms compared with
