For what it’s worth, here are my two cents about this subject. I do think that linear power can improve sound quality on analog outputs. The SB3 with stock PSU is a decent performer. It does outperform my previous owned Denon CD transport costing three times as much (and a few years older).

A little lateral thinking if you are going high end and HT at same time you could get yourself a nice preamp-HT processor from for example Meridian they sound pretty decent, they are more expensive than a TP but also replaces the preamp and have loads of inputs for your other stuff. I'm using an
