Hi All,
After reading your posts, curiosity moved me to try, so i spent the
long Week end (from friday to tuesday, was Holyday in Italy) lissening
to different music and looking for differences.
I was skeptic, becouse i knew and i'ìve personaly verified that you can

Hi!
My Transporter has problems playing one, and just one 24/96 file. I
have downloaded the album Retrospective with Rebecca Pidgeon on
HDTRACKS.COM
And consequently there is digital noise in track 1 Spanish Harlem.
First I thought that the file was coruppted and I got a redownload. But

Hi All,
i've just posted a replay in another thread about the same topic, i'm
realy intrested in it, so could we close one and continue with the
other?
thanks

Hi Pat,
i'm for sure OT, but i realized you are using a Notebook as 'remote', I
do the same, just to have a 'large' picture display of the cover AND the
ability to read some docs related to the disc (i.e. the scan of the
booklet) or surf the internet (i.e Wikipedia).
I'm wondering if someone

We used to have problems where TP would run short of cpu cycles on
certain 24/96 material but I thought that was not an issue any more. It
may be that this material was encoded using the highest compression
settings which results in slightly more CPU-intensive decoding. You
might try

I have just downloaded 2 tracks from this album - 24 Hours Of Love and
Spanish Harlem. I can confirm that 24 Hours Of Love plays perfectly but
Spanish Harlem does not play properly, I can hear digital
noise/distortion while the track is playing. So this track definately
does not like the
Assuming there is truly blind testing going on here, I'd assume the
difference is the typical case created when there is even a slight
volume difference in the playback of the two files. It is well
documented that this preference bias can exist with even tiny volume
differences.

Please try disabling the native decoder as a test.

sorry, was not referring to one of the files mentioned in this thread

So you folks who use the MF-XDAC-v3. Has the bug where the DAC would
still sense a signal when the receiver was off preventing automatic
input switching been fixed?
Thanks,

Hi all,
I do not use RG (disabled), so i think is not a matter of volume.
By the way, every difference in audio is a matter of Volume
difference depending on where and how the difference is, you have
good or bad sounding devices!
Anyhow, I think that IF there is a volume difference, it will be

When I disable the native decoder the song plays perfectly. So there
must
be a decoder bug. Is there a downside in having this setting disabled?

Hello all,
I don't mean to hijack the thread or lay off course, but this is the
only appropriate thread I could find to post my question.
I had read a post which is almost 2 years old at the AVS forum and it
doesn't look like we'll ever have 24/96 on the SB3 due to the CPU
according to Michael
SB3 will never support 24/96, that is correct.

Yes, you can't fast-forward or rewind, and the streams use 2x the
network bandwidth.
