We used to have problems where TP would run short of cpu cycles on certain 24/96 material but I thought that was not an issue any more. It may be that this material was encoded using the highest compression settings which results in slightly more CPU-intensive decoding. You might try

I have just downloaded 2 tracks from this album - 24 Hours Of Love and Spanish Harlem. I can confirm that 24 Hours Of Love plays perfectly but Spanish Harlem does not play properly, I can hear digital noise/distortion while the track is playing. So this track definately does not like the

Assuming there is truly blind testing going on here, I'd assume the difference is the typical case created when there is even a slight volume difference in the playback of the two files. It is well documented that this preference bias can exist with even tiny volume differences. In this
