The Hawk wingman did a good job. Unalerted see and avoid can work. A bunt is a forward push on the stick, not necessarily an outside loop. Fighter pilots like to keep the target in sight, hence the push not a pull. Looking out the window is a requirement in VMC even if you are on an IFR plan. Cer

Appears the incident was in Class G? Is looking out the window optional? An outside loop at 1000'AGL sounds like dramatic licence. As does turning a transponder off for a five hour flight. The 2006 Hawker / ASG29 (TXP off) midair near Minden was in pretty similar Class E. Repercussions are still
