For a few months now ClearNav Instruments have been offering a 25% discount

includes new digital display. This deal I believe is to continue till
Christmas.
The version 3 vario is now considerably improved which is now up
I do know Hare & Forbes sell them for fair bit less than Supercheap auto.
Robert Hare is active in gliding and may offer you a real low price.
You can use spacers for aircraft wheels size but it is best to cut and make
bars closer together for a special aircraft one.
They are excellent on cement
Hey Bob I am 50 years in gliding this month and thats longer than you!! and
regretfully I remember many of them we have lost.

Notice there is correspondence on weak links and some clubs are still using
rope as weak link.
I got involved in using Tost parallel system of links over 40years ago and
could only recommend them for both winch and aerotow.
Most 18m gliders and open gliders have a weak link max of 600kg however
New 3.3 software for CN vario should be on the Web site tonight with notes.

With the IS 28 coming back into service problems can exist using 500-5 main

recently (18months ago) introduced a 336x115-5 10pr aviation tyre designed
for Ventus 2 and Discus 2 which is slightly smaller in diameter than

Think there is one in Dululu club in central Queensland & believe it lacks

Agree totally with Roger. Even expensive probes sometimes can be no better
than cheaper ones.
The best dollar ever spent on a glider is the TE and it must be perfect.

GPS aerial splitters are a great idea for use in gliders. Avoids the
occasions when two gps talk to each other and helps avoid drop-outs.

I totally agree one or two holes in front of compass position on top of a
glider cover over instrument panel and add some aluminium gauze will HUGELY
reduce the temperatures instruments cop.

I like 18gauge aviation wire for single seaters and prefer 16gauge for 2
seaters so guess rear fin battery may need 14gauge.. Fuse quality can also
cause voltage drop and in rare occasions switches. With 3 batteries I
like a C 7211 switch which you can call ON ON ON a 3 position switch.
May or may not be relevant in this case but in past GPS aerials placed near
each other can cause issues. They can cross talk to each other. The
recommended fix was to keep aerials 20cm to 25cm apart or fit a splitter
coming from the GPS aerial.
I must admit it is a while since I have seen that
