I am on lubuntu 11.10, awesome 3.4.10
Everytime I restart/quit/crash awesome my .fehbg file is being overwritten with:
feh --bg-scale '/usr/share/awesome/themes/$background_path'
$background_path being zenburn/zenburn-background.png or
default/default-background.png
I use feh to set up

Still I strongly suppose that it's neither Java's fault nor awesome's one.

I changed the luadoc for trim() function. I still hate to use this
function but I have to. Pango fails at rendering Carriage Returns.

Just caught a bug which was caused by attempting to access beautiful
fields before calling beautiful.init(). Also removed local print = print
captures from the files.
