We have the same problem with WebLogic 6.1 SP2. The reason is the manifest file in commons-logging.jar, which has a Class-Path entry of "log4.jar log4j-core.jar", but Axis comes with log4j-1.2.4.jar. I have added olivier brandt's castor bindings, with some changes -moved it into a sub package of ser (makes inclusion/exclusion much easier) -i18n-ized the messages I have not had a chance to sit down and use these bunnies yet. Whoever does, gets to write the tests and the docs :) -steve
