booked their room so far from $85 to $82. He made the change in the
computer so when anyone else calls, they will be told $82 plus tax.

My ggrandmother was Florence PIO, b. Aug 1866 in the Azores & d. Oct.
1929 in Watsonville, CA. I do not know where she was born & would
appreciate any info. Her parents were Joseph b. abt. 1845 & Josephine
b. abt. 1835. I have no further info on them & would appreciate any
direction anyone can g

Yes, that's true.
Rarely we see in baptism records, between 1860 and 1911 (when mentioning
grandparents was madatory) the name of the unknown grandfather. Many times the
unknown father lived with the child's mother, but they didn't "officialize" the

Are you saying that unless the father legitimized the child while he
was alive, then, although it was known locally that he sired the
child, that information just died with the last person who knew of his
indisgression - or, would there be a record, somewhere, that
identified the father
