Sandra, I just got back from Pico. The picture of the man working has to be in Lajes. Looks like it might be between Lajes and Ribeiro do Meio, possibly near the fort. The gardens we saw had potatoes, inhames, bananas, and kale. It could also be corn. The vineyards would be smaller plots surround
