handwritten over "Azores" and "OL" handwritten over
to a book I self-published in 2012 that may be of interest to some of this

I've looked into it but they do not offer Portuguese as used in the Azores.
They do offer Brazilian and European. Some languages seem more complete

When I switched from the PC to the Mac, I switched from Family Tree Maker to
Reunion, which also has an iPhone app. The conversion was straightforward
and it's handy having all the information on the iPhone. It seems easier to
talk to people without a laptop (less intimidating?). However, the
Reunion.
I spent a fair amount of time looking through these and this appeared to be
the most robust. There is a new contender but it doesn't have much of a
track record.
If you have an iphone, you can lookup data on your mac from the iphone and
show results including images.

My mom was one of 10 children. Her grandparents Rosa Ventura and Jose Teves
had come to Hawaii from San Micheal in the late 1800's. My mom passed away
at 96. She had one sister who died at 100, another at 99 and another at 93.
One brother died at 98. Longevity seems to be a trait in the family.
We have been very happy at the Hotel Canadiano. The owners repatriated from
Canada. It is an American style motel with a very good dinners and a
breakfast buffet. There's a wonderful bakery next door. The owners also
have built a much larger and more modern hotel on the waterfront.
I am Charlotte and I had asked if anyone could help find any information on
my grandfather Joseph Tavares Ferreira who came to Hawaii as a little boy.
His father was also Jose Tavares Ferreira and his mother Maria August
Pimentel. They came from Riberia Grande in 1881. I would love to find out
on the right side it shows Maria Augusta. It
looks like him.
