My mom was one of 10 children. Her grandparents Rosa Ventura and Jose Teves had come to Hawaii from San Micheal in the late 1800's. My mom passed away at 96. She had one sister who died at 100, another at 99 and another at 93. One brother died at 98. Longevity seems to be a trait in the family.

We have been very happy at the Hotel Canadiano. The owners repatriated from Canada. It is an American style motel with a very good dinners and a breakfast buffet. There's a wonderful bakery next door. The owners also have built a much larger and more modern hotel on the waterfront.
