I get the info from Dick Eastman's Online Newsletter. Portugal extracting
began only in March, 2010. I think Dick gets a news feed from
FamilySearch. I don't know where he gets the feed from though.

FHCs are affiliated with the Church for Jesus Christ of
Awesome and informative post, thank you Cheri. If I could add a tip... The
Google Chrome web browser is a good tool to use to translate the websites. Not
sure how accurate the translation is, however, it does make it easier to
navigate the websites.

not for Sao Miguel, except for Hermano's index on Lagoa, I think.

You might have exact matches on instead of the soundex type thing.
Helen Alexander married Joseph Fintado 21 Jan 1911 in Plymouth, MA, like
you said. I just clicked to view the image, and it is showing up.

I had to buy FTM 2009 as the old versions wouldn't work on Vista - I was very
disappointed as the trees to print out didn't have the tree that ancestry.com
uses on their webpage to build a tree - this tree style was available on older

Although this list is Azores focused, some of our Azorean ancestors or their

I was just on familysearch an hour ago; they've got a good amount of
Massachusetts Marriage and Death records, with images, in their database
so it's worth a look if your ancestors were in the Bristol area.

Exactly as Cheri said. If you can read it, you can probably work on this
project. The handwriting is not too bad it's more that they are completely
handwritten so you need a pretty good knowledge of how to extract the
right information.
