Cheri, Mickey had wrong info. Manuel Antonio Fonte was born in Pico,
Azores. This is on his own Naturalization record. He came to US July 31,
1905 on Canopic under the name Manuel Antonio Simas thru Sao Miguel.

answer. I thought the original email said both parents were from Pico. I'd

I found Manuel Antonio Fonte Petition for Naturalization and sent you a
copy. He came from Pico. He came to U.S. under a different name and you
will see that on the Petition and it lists the date and ship. This should
help you find him on Passportes.
